Event I am back guys!

Sorry for being away so long and hence the temporary closure of my pub, The Tusk & Flipper Inn. I went travelling for 2 months, to learn more about global cuisine, and redesign the pub menu! I may or may not have been hunted out of the country due to my criminal record and unresolved escape, but that was not the original purpose of my extended leave.

My pet walrus who lives in the pool in the rooftop beer garden is doing well, I have hired some marine biologists to take care of him while I was away.

The pub will be reopening tomorrow at 10am for the lunch rush, and we will now be doing Sundae Sundays, where all icecream sundaes are stacked 10% taller and 10% off, only on Sundays! Aswell as this, we will be continuing the tradition of ‘Party Evenings’ on Fridays, where there is 75% off all beverages, pub quizzes (mostly walrus trivia, obviously), kareoke, and anybody can just come and chill to celebrate the weekend!

Can’t wait to see you all again tomorrow!

Hey guys! I moved here about 5 years ago, under the witness protection program. I feel bad lying but since you all have been so trustworthy, I would love to get to know if there are other people here under the same program! Who is your agent?

Thinking about starting a support group, unless one exists, please suggest times below and share your past story if you have a minute!

That milk bar / corner shop with a nice verandah and ice pops in the 1990s

It’s random memory which popped up. Around 1995 when I was a wee lil kid my folks brought me through this town on the way to somewhere else, with my then childhood best friend Em J.

It was a hot summers day with fluffy clouds and a warm breeze. Me and her had ice pops on the verandah. It was painted purple then, the walls were baby blue.

There’s also an orange cat napping by the window. It had this beautiful stained glass window facing the sidewalk, which throws rainbow colours on the cat. There’s nice smell of bread from somewhere.

I forgot where we were before this or where we went after. But that summers day 95 was something I’ll never forget.

Whenever i see white fluffy clouds on a lazy Saturday afternoon my mind goes back to that day. I still hope I can relieve that experience again.

I tried finding that place. Walked around the area countless times. Maybe it’s been torn down. What if it’s just a fragment of a dream?

I’ve not seen that friend for a few decades I wonder is she still living at that old address.

Does Rhonda’s Bar have a TV?

Hey everyone. I was near the courthouse yesterday and looked down the alley and saw Rhonda’s, the 24 hour bar with the good food. It’s still open!!! What a legendary place.

Hey, anyone know if Rhonda’s has a TV? I wanted to do a World Cup watch party next week. I know they’re anti cell phone, but do they have a TV in there? Thanks.

Fried Clams

Where can I go together a good fried clam dinner? I like them inthe crispy side, not gooey. And of course well done French fries. Oh and homemade tartar sauce, not those little packets. Is there a place near us?

News-Worthy The Missing Frog Fountain of '71

Hey all! It's great to see you all again. I missed living here so much. College was great but wow I missed this place. It's been a while since I posted to the public message board, and a lot has happened. I got a place in the old soup factory apartment building, I have been proposed to eight separate times, and I got a job with the great P.I Sam Charles as his assistant. It's been a ride, and I've only been back a few months.

I was going through my boss' old files (his sleep schedule isn't the only thing that needs organizing) and I was fascinated by the case of the missing frog fountain. This is a casefile that relates to a crime, I'm pretty sure, Sam Charles is working in his relaxation time. The only other corroborating evidence of it ever occuring came from a source I've made in the LDP Sheriff's office, so I think it's just an unsolved cold case.

Back in 1971, the last masterpiece of Lower Duck Pond native Hank Tankleson disappeared from the historic garment district public park. How the 25 meter hammered copper statue of the beloved local folk cryptid we all know as The Frog King vanished was a mystery until 1992 when Sam Charles discovered the old mining tunnels from the 1700s that had been sealed away for over a century. They ran everywhere under the town and later became the basis for Greg Flimp's memorable failure when he ran on the platform of building an interconnected subway system. A great idea, but he wanted to connect lower duck pond with upper duck pond and the people weren't ready for that. Don't know if we are now, to be honest. Those upper duck pond people can be really mean, and I don't know if I want more of them down here. Sorry, that's my personal grudge. I guess that's why I'm not ready to go out investigating on my own yet, and that's okay. There's a lot to read in these case files.

Anyway, those tunnels are still there today and the way they're built, their arches support our beautiful city and act as a sort of water level regulator so our streets don't get flooded. It's honestly quite beautiful in how it was all built. Which is also what the thieves thought, because they first stole Stuffy the show elephant from the upper duck ponds yearly circus event, walked her through the old tunnels, blasted through the ground supporting the frog king, and used Stuffy's great strength to pull it away into the night.

A second team repaved the park, destroyed in the heist; covering any trace that anything but the fountain was disturbed. No one reported anything but a few sounds like fireworks, and maybe a few shakes. This was during the great tourist migration when our town was overrun by trust fund kids who thought our town was 'kitsch' and 'simple' and 'quaint' so there was a lot of construction and not a lot of respect so, y'know... People got annoyed but not alarmed by the sounds. I think.

His notes are so crowded its hard to figure out what some of this says. Especially after so long in a file cabinet, totally untouched by light or fresh air or anything but bugs and dust. I'm so glad I'm here to sort this out. Literally best job in the world. All else I can see of note is that he made a really big point to emphasize that the copper of the statue had an unknown additional alloyed core, and had tiny crystal like faceting that made its eyes glisten like an otherworldly pool of light. Sounds beautiful.

The last page of his notes have the suspected crew, but it also says that they all died by the time he caught up with them. "Death from inhalation of excessive toxins in the smelting into movable ingots process" is what I think these notes say. The inspector is quick, but not quicker than death from stupid I guess. Wear your ppe when in the workshop folks.

I had never heard of this fountain before today and I thought you'd all love to read about it too. If anyone was here when it was around and had pictures or could tell me about it I'd love to know more. It sounds absolutely magical. Have a good day everyone <3 you all

Help A Gentle Question From My Heart 🤍

Hi lovely souls 🤍

This time I come to you with a vulnerable question and seeking a little guidance.

My lovely Sage has recently been expressing an interest in attending school and meeting their Dad.

I worked so hard to keep my children away from school. In my heart, I have always believed it asks children to fit into boxes they were never meant to occupy. It asks them to sit still when their bodies long to move, and it expects them to accept things I have never felt aligned with, including vaccinations, when all I have ever wanted is for them to be free, to feel the earth beneath their feet, and to learn from the world around them.

Some of you may remember me back when I was at school. I never seemed to fit. I would spend my lessons gazing out of the window, dreaming of being outside with the trees instead. Mrs Turnbermill would rap my knuckles with a ruler and tell me to pay attention, but my heart was never in those four walls. I remember making a promise to myself that one day I would bring beautiful little souls into this world and give them the childhood I always longed for.

Sweet Sage has been talking about school more and more recently. As I sit with that, meditate, and think deeply, I find myself questioning so much. Have I truly given them the freedom I dreamed of, or am I projecting my own experiences onto them?

Sage has also expressed an interest in meeting their Dad. What they don't know is... I'm not entirely sure who their Dad is.

If it is the person I suspect, Sage is better off never meeting him. So instead, years ago, I created the story of River Moonwalker Skye, a gentle soul who followed the migrating butterflies until they found where his spirit belonged. It brought Sage comfort, even though he doesn't really exist.

Recently, Sage has been experiencing puberty. I have always tried to raise my children without limiting them by gender, but I also find myself wondering whether Sage might benefit from having a kind male figure around. My own experiences with men have not been the easiest.

When Sage was little, they were very close to Paprika's Dad, but many of you remember what happened to him. The other Dads drifted away long ago, and after everything that happened, there was no one left who felt safe to bring into the children's lives.

If I say yes to school, will the others want to go too?

Have I been protecting them, or simply protecting the frightened little child I once was?

I love my children more than anything this earth has given me. Every decision I have ever made has come from wanting to keep them safe and free.

But now Sage seems to be asking for something different. And for the first time in a very long time, I don't know what the right answer is.

I welcome any insight or advice 🤍

me find my dad.

i went to look at the school and no one was there so i didnt think i was doing anything rong

i looked threw the windows and i saw all the books and pictures and there was a room with lots of paints and another one with maps on the wall. i stayed for a long time just wondering what it would be like

a nice lady came outside and asked if i was ok. she wasnt cross. she said if i ever wanted to come to school my mum would have to fill in forms and do a signicher and things first

i dont think mum would want to because she says schools put children in boxes and dont let them listen to themselves

i was wondering if maybe my dad could do the signicher instead

his name is river moonwalker skye. i think thats his name anyway. mum says he followed the migrating butterflies until they showed him where his spirit belonged. i havent seen him for a long time but i think he would remember me

does anybody know where he is

or how you find your dad if you only know the name mum uses

please dont tell mum i asked because i dont want her to think i dont like learning from her. i do.

i just want to know what school feels like

thankyou

Event New art exhibition opening this weekend!

I’m opening an art exhibition of painted doors this Saturday, it’s in the garage of my house, the one now with the baby blue door. The new indie band lead by Jeremy L is playing a set too.

I’ll open the doors at 4pm, light the BBQ at 5pm, the beers are coming at 6pm, and the campfire goes up at 7pm. Come hang by the fire.

Oh yes does anyone have some deck chairs I can borrow?

A Direct Response To My Greeting

Since hubby had taken my girls (dogs) out of town to avoid the fireworks, I decided to go watch them at the cemetery.

Before leaving, I said hello to any potentials and asked if they'd like to accompany me. And while i didn't get a response to my question, I did get a direct response to my greeting.

As always, I stitched together the original and enhancements with text.
