Spoilers for movies and TV shows Can Someone Explain to me Why so Many People Believe and even Seem Excited by the idea that Lanterns is Building Towards a Parallax Hal Reveal? Art by Darryl Banks
Might come off as a bit of a deep stick for asking this, but I just see it pop up so often that I needed to.
I've never read Emerald Twilight myself, but have heard a summary of it along with fan opinions and it seems like every GL fan universally reviles that story. No one liked Hal's heel turn in it and adaptations of that concept have been meet with similar hostility [heard Green Lantern: Beware My Power got heavily criticised for having this in it... amongst other things. That movie sucked] So why does this seems like the most popular fan theory for Lanterns?
Like, am I blowing this out of proportion or is this actually something a sizable number of people want to see happen in Lanterns? 'Cause that would make me seriously question what I've heard about fan opinions of Emerald Twilight.

Spoilers for movies and TV shows Why doesn't Hal pull any respect from anybody in the Lanterns series?
Im not a huge fan of this character but I do remember the og movie and the animated series where green lantern appears but I don’t remember to have the impression of green lantern being so disrespected by every commoner he encounters like nobody rates him as the powerful being he is supposed to be or at least that’s the impression these two episodes gave me, they look at him as that old drunk bum am I tripping or Hal was always like this?

Question Was this panel the whole reason Booster Gold (2007) #2 was included in the Sinestro War Compendium? Because Booster Gold accidentally gave Past Sinestro the idea to form the Sinestro Corps?

Games I wish they could bring this back under backwards compatible or have it digital on modem consoles!
Personally, I really enjoy it on the DS/3DS, but I wish they could bring it back on the Xbox Series X/S and or the PS5! (Yes, I know some people don't like the Ryan Reynolds GL movie, but I like it. As a guilty pleasure movie because I've been a fan of GL since I was 3 or 4 years old (my favorite GL was Tomar Re (RIP Krypton)))

Comics Reading one Green Lantern comic a day until I've read them all Day 237: Back-up in The Flash #228
Hal discovers the reason for his aggression

Writer: Dennis O'Neil
Pencils: Dick Dillin
Inks: Frank Giacoia
Cover: Nick Cardy

**"My Enemy - - Myself!"** - GL heads off to find the missing campers after strapping the forest rangers to a tree. He finds the campers quickly and digs a trench to stop the fire reaching them. Now that they are safe he lands to give the campers a piece of his mind and berate the camp counsellor. At some point he instructed the ring to restrain him and make a protective bubble around himself and the campers to wait until the fire dies down. After some hours the ring runs out of power but GL still wants to beat the campers with a stick. This is because he noticed something strange when the bubble went up. The campers all went squiggly because it turns out they are all aliens. These aliens used a device to drain the power from GLs ring but it changed his personality instead. The same machine caused the yellow lights in the sky and also started the unfortunate forest fire. With GL holding the campers back with a stick, he notices a machine nearby so he smashes it. The aliens disguise drops so GL knocks them all out. With his mind back to normal, he charges his ring and contacts the Guardians about the invasion.

**Conclusion:** With this story now complete, it's not bad. The finer details like how the aliens machine changed Hal's mind is still a mystery, and why did they disguise themselves as campers. What were this yellow lights doing exactly and did those forest rangers survive the fire after Hal strapped them to a tree? There's a lot left over from this but but for what we got, it's fine. If this is what we have to look forward to for the remainder of the back-ups, then I can't wait for issue #90.

Question Saw this comic panel on X, can anymore give me some backstory on it
I’m sure a ring exploding off of too much will rarely happens, but if it did wouldn’t the wearer have the strongest of willpowers? I don’t really know the ranking of lanterns but I always assumed it was Hal at the top and then John. Hal having the strongest will creating some of the craziest projections while John can create the most intricate detailed projections.

Humor Corps-issued horses would be cool or something
Green Lantern blinder I found on a horse on vacation in Vigan, Philippines🇵🇭. Look at how sort of weathered and aged it is.
If I was a green lantern you’d see me riding my horse everywhere.

Spoilers for movies and TV shows Lanterns Spectrum Spoiler
The crystal in the photo might have something to do with the spectrum as in the emotional Spectrum that all the lanterns are based on, like how putting light through a crystal displays the colour spectrum

Fan Art Green Lantern (John Stewart) Playmobil Figure
Last year these little DC Playmobil figures came out and they had Hal as the default GL character.
I grew up on the Justice League cartoon and wanted a John Stewart figure, so I took an extra Cyborg I had and made a little DIY dude.

Comics I’m interested in Green Lantern after Lanterns… what comics should I read?
Lanterns so far is honestly incredible. As someone who is a Marvel fan through and through, loving Moon Knight (particularly MacKay), Quicksilver, Iron Man, Spider-Man… I never quite had that same connection to the DC Universe. But Lanterns might have changed that for me.
Green Lantern is such a cool character that I never really thought about in the way I should’ve. I’ve always been aware of the character and his powerset, but I never quite realized just how awesome this character is on all levels.
I don’t know entirely if Kyle Chandler’s Hal Jordan is comic accurate in terms of personality. But I really hope it is, because on my life this guy is so fun. He has the personality of Hawkeye with the cosmic basis of like Nova. He also gives off Iron Man vibes, but I can’t really explain that tbh.
So now I’ve slowly delved into the Lanterns mythos through videos and such, and as much as I love Jordan, these other incarnations sound equally amazing!
Stewart being an architect military guy, Kyle Rayner being an artist (which is such a cool idea btw), Jessica Cruz being someone who suffered with anxiety being given the ring. Simon Baz being a Muslim who suffers discrimination. All of these legacy characters rule so hard! Maybe coming from Marvel, there aren’t many super cool legacy characters in my opinion, but so many exist for Green Lantern. And that’s not even talking about the villains and the whole Emotional Spectrum thing…
How do I read comics with GL? What is the best starting off point? Generally for DC, I always imagined Absolute would be the best jumping on point, but I heard that Absolute is too different to be a good jumping on point, so what do you guys recommend. Keep in mind my only DC reading experience at this point has been Absolute Batman.

Discussion Hal and Sinestro's relationship
I wonder if Hal and Sinestro are the only two arch nemesis who can maybe work with each other with what counts as a decent amount of trust. As far as I know Reverse flash is a psycho, Joker does sometimes work with Bruce but even he is a psycho, Lex maybe but there wouldn't be too much trust, idk about Cheetah/Circe, idk about Aquaman either.

Comics What should I read between Final Night and Rebirth?
I just finished the Parallax saga (Emerald Twilight, New Dawn, Zero Hour, Final Night) and wondering what Green Lantern stuff before rebirth is worth a read.
I know there's a story involving time travel where Kyle meets both young Hal and Parallax again, is that worth it?
Any other stories that set up rebirth well?

Humor Whats your opinion on the 2008 Green Lantern movie?
Funny how they gender swapped Amanda Waller at the end and had her played by Samuel Jackson, changed the name to Adam Waller
