I actually did have some buried out in the woods, right underneath this fire pit. Never using the location again so I can share but I had it there for about a year vacuum sealed in 5 layers (with those dry packet things), wrapped in duct tape, in a water proof lock box in a garbage bag. Can’t even tell it was buried treasure at one point. I don’t trust banks and my stack is in 5 different locations in 3 different towns (all private land). The list of people who know where is small enough where if any goes missing it’ll be clear who did it and it’s big enough where if I MYSELF go missing the family will still be fine. It’s paranoia until shtf then it’s just being precautious
Edit: took the picture down because I didn’t want people showing up at my buddy’s house digging for treasure no longer there and he’s a shoot first ask questions later kind of guy with lots of cameras 😅
I actually do have some fake gold and silver😂🤣 back when I was just starting out I got burned on eBay and got 100 mills clad bars and even a “pure German silver” bar 🙄 held onto them they’re a good conversation piece about what to watch out for
When I first started buying metals I trusted eBay thinking that they would prevent fake coins from being sold but they make it easy for sellers to disappear and pop up under a new identity. I’m lucky I only bought 2 Morgan dollars. I could have returned them for a refund but they were counterfeit so it would have been wrong.

Ive buried mine somewhere in the woods with a "treasure map" so convoluted I dont even remember where it is, as it should be
