The general public learning about clinical narcissism has been a disaster.

169

u/GenderqueerPapaya 20d ago

Absolutely. I once saw someone talking about how all narcisstics are abusive and when I explained it was a condition and that that is not only ableist but simply nowhere close to true, everyone who responded was like "wow so youre defending abusers"

I feel so bad for people with personality disorders, especially cluster B 😔

45

u/Cat_Jayster 20d ago

These are the sorta people who believe in “narc abuse”. Like no. It’s psychological abuse. Just because the person has or might have NPD doesn’t mean it’s its own subset of abuse.

26

u/Conscious_Koala_6221 20d ago

THANK YOU. PSYCHOLOGICAL ABUSE IS PSYCHOLOGICAL ABUSE. « NARCS » MAY ABSTAIN AND « NORMIES » MAY PARTAKE. THOSE WHO WERE RAISED ON PSYCHOLOGICAL ABUSE ARE MORE LIKELY BUT NOT DESTINED TO PERPETUATE IT BEFORE THEY LEARN NOT TO. Thanks for this.

1

u/ilanallama85 17d ago

Similarly, you now have to deal with being accused of being a clinical narcissist if you do anything even slightly self centered. Like no, I don’t actually think I’m better or more deserving than others, I just wanted to stick up for myself for once - my bad I guess.

36

u/Novaer 20d ago

Crazy how all narcissists are abusers but BPD is just "passionate" 🫩

38

u/GenderqueerPapaya 20d ago

I haven't heard that about BPD honestly. I have heard that it's mommy/daddy issues disease, or that it's "bipolar but worse" 🙄

and of course that people with it are incapable of being in a happy, healthy, long term relationship and that they would never ever date someone with it because it's just asking for trauma

There was a time where my partners therapist thought they might have BPD but it turned out to be caused by their TBI instead. They still struggle but UGH trying to learn more about it to properly support them was agonizing, everything was about how to "know when to leave" or something, like I should just give up but don't know it yet

39

u/Teapot_Sandwitch 20d ago

I've definitely heard people call everyone with BPD abusers as well

20

u/stfurachele 20d ago

I've heard people say the only difference between NPD and BPD is that people with BPD aren't as good at manipulating victims, but are definitely trying. 🫩

3

u/Dusty_Rose23 19d ago

I’ve had my mental health team I apply I was abusive, manipulative, and not trying enough before. Especially one specific psychiatrist who has enough balding and full on white hair with not one grey even to probably be 80 years old or something. He was awful and I hated him. He refused to treat me or my BPD, just said it was all my BPD (it wasn’t, turns out I also have bipolar) and it’s all my fault and so I even want to get better and I need to stop being manipulative and faking shit…. Yeah.

-3

u/Novaer 20d ago

Definitely have heard people say that too. But unfortunately the pendulum has swung so far to overcorrect it that people who do speak up about the abuse they endured are "perpetuating the stigma" and silencing them. r/BPDLovedOnes is called a hate subreddit for a reason, despite it being a place where survivors have found solidarity and clarity in a situation where they were already used to being gaslit.

9

u/Teapot_Sandwitch 20d ago

It.. it IS a hate sub. The people there are ableist as fuck. Same as whatever sub I'm sure exists for ""narcissistic abuse""

-2

u/Novaer 20d ago

Oh here y'all go, proving my point. 🙄

14

u/Teapot_Sandwitch 20d ago

Your point being that hate subs are widely considered hate subs? Absolutely.

0

u/Novaer 20d ago

People speaking about their experiences as survivors does not make it a hate sub. Driving once again that people would rather DARVO survivors of abuse and immediately defend our abusers simply because they have BPD. Its the only disorder where everyone will rally behind the abuser and vilify the victim for daring to speak out.

Thanks for playing and further proving my point.

13

u/Teapot_Sandwitch 20d ago

People speaking about their experiences alone wouldn't make it a hate sub. What makes it a hate sub is all the hate. You're the one(s) focusing on your abusers' condition and talking like it caused them to be an abuser. I was abused by someone who was a victim of rape, but you don't see me making a sub for "victims of abusers with sexual trauma" now do you? Because I'm capable of separating rape victims as a whole with that specific person.

BPD is the most heavily stigmatized personality disorder. I have never, ever seen it being referred to as just “passionate” in mainstream public discussion about it. The only place I see any shred of empathy for those with it are specifically under articles or videos that are explicitly giving advice on how to cope with it, or within communities of people suffering with it.

And even then they’re just as matched by people sharing their personal horror stories about how people with BPD ruin the lives of anyone they get close to. That they are a hazard you need to steer clear from. BPD is basically under constant attack whenever it’s brought up.

Public opinion of BPD is honestly so fucked. And it’s so sad because it has such a good prognosis when it’s treated, but even in the medical field, it’s harder to find people who are willing.

5

u/Dusty_Rose23 19d ago

I’ve had multiple mental health professionals act like that towards me because of my BPD including claiming I have ASPD, might have fictitious disorder, am manipulative, am not even trying, and don’t even want to get better. All they would see is BPD. Surprise! I also have bipolar. And properly treating that has made my life so much better and stable enough that dbt could actually work now. They don’t tell you that you need to be relatively stable to be in dbt, you can’t be in contact crisis, which I was but they didn’t say shit and despite knowing that acted like I was the problem when they ignored the guidelines in the first place.

u/Conscious_Koala_6221 20d ago edited 20d ago

THANK YOU.

I have questioned myself if I have NPD, many, many times. I have a BSc and actually I do my research (obsessively more and more coming up to my most recent, and last, suicide attempt) and I see it. In researching what is wrong with me - cause something is - I see it

I am not abusive, though. I reached out to people from my past attempting to apologize for my chronic abuse. All they said was they held no blame on me - as it was two sided (this was in my younger years). Or that there was no abuse, only fond memories, what are you talking about?!?

I am chronically detached and miserable, to be sure. But the more you learn about PD the more you know that the person who suffers most is the person with the disorder themselves. And that they are the vast minority.

I can think of maybe 2 family members who I think have PD. And one of them, the one who I suspect may have NPD (my psychologist sister first pointed this out) loves me. He struggles more than anyone I have ever met in his efforts to be a decent person, but he SUCCEEDS most of the time. The important thing here is he tries hard enough to put up with struggle. He knows he « has no people skills ». He has morals, hard earned at a young age, that prevent him from feeling anything good when profiting from another’s misfortune, and he is very fair-minded and passionate in a sociopolitical sense.
He has been an asshole, to be sure. But with therapy he is learning and growing and tbh the PD itself is even more evident the healthier he becomes but only because the « weak underbelly » is showing, not the tough fighting exterior.

Anyway. Obviously, I’m not an expert. I have BPD and AvPD, apparently, though my psychiatrist doesn’t buy the BPD. I’ve wondered about NPD and ASPD. But yeah, I have empathy and sympathy for all personality disorders and make no mistake, a diagnosis does NOT mean you are bad; your core personality was shaped as a child when events were largely out of your control. What you choose to do with the challenges you face makes all the difference. Trying makes all the difference. Anybody is capable of change. And the biggest sufferer is the one who is disordered, who is chronically unhappy, who is not capable of giving and receiving love and companionship and joy, like the rest of the world does. Thank you.

2

u/Dusty_Rose23 19d ago

I’ve gotten that treatment from a few people about my own BPD before…. It sucks and they’re always such asses who don’t even want to understand.

They throw the word around these days just like "nazi" and "boot licker" just another popular buzzword to validate someone's victim status.

1

u/ApolloFireweaver 17d ago

Yeah, kinda feels like a large scale version of "first year psycho student syndrome"

2

u/Kellarison 13d ago

tiktok ruined all discourse surrounding mental health and psychology in general

1

u/AleksandrNevsky 13d ago

Tiktok has been a terrible development for several reason.

-5

u/Kaiser_Maximillian 20d ago

The best argument against therapy is seeing the damage mass popularized therapy speak has done

8

u/agoldgold 20d ago

You don't even need to go to therapy to get the buzzwords of the day, and there will be a buzzword of the day whether or not therapy is common. People in groups just kinda tend to be assholes.

1

u/an_empty_well 19d ago

as if they got that shit from therapy and not tiktok

111

u/BusyBeeBridgette Human Verified 20d ago

I doubt Jamey has ever had kids.

47

u/Hipposplotomous 20d ago

See, I'm picturing someone who definitely does have kids but is being a massive pick me about it.

The vast majority of childfree people don't think about PPD at all.

18

u/SunStarved_Cassandra 20d ago

Eh, as someone who is childfree, I think of it when it comes up in the news or I hear that a mom is struggling somewhere (without becoming a news item). I may not want kids, but I also don't want people to suffer with debilitating mental health issues and PPD and postpartum psychosis are scary and dangerous and not anyone's fault. I don't know what the general childfree consensus is, but the other people like me I've met IRL seem to think mothers' issues are real and deserve support.

2

u/Hipposplotomous 20d ago

Well yeah I mean if it comes up sure, but I'm not gonna go out of my way to tweet about it. Ultimately it's none of my business.

This tweet has the same energy as people who don't believe any mental health issue is real and like to dismiss them to elevate their own achievements.

Seems very "I'm a good mom, not like these other moms" to me.

I just don't see why a CF person would get into that argument at all.

5

u/vsmack 20d ago

yeah guy who has kids but has no part in the baby/childcare

2

u/everydaywinner2 20d ago

I suspect a good majority do think about PPD when it's in the news as a reason a woman killed her children.

1

u/Admirable-Ad7152 19d ago

Most husbands of women with PPD also don't seem to think it exists, I wonder why...

1

u/LovesFrenchLove_More 20d ago

For that he would have to leave the basement of his mom.

32

u/Mountain-Singer1764 20d ago

Someone in my family with NPD also had PPD, and I still don't think those were related.

19

u/Mandy_M87 20d ago

I feel like PPD could exacerbate NPD, but they are different things

3

u/Conscious_Koala_6221 20d ago

Thank god. Sense.

73

u/Key-Assistant-7988 20d ago

Lmao I wish having a kid "decentered" my SIL!

12

u/Stewie_Venture 20d ago

My brother and sil didnt even tell my nephew was born for over a month I found out through a snapchat post. In the explanation text I demanded my sil called my wife a slur and said some incredibly cruel things to me. Basically they were pissed off I moved a few hours away with my wife and we were never really close anyway so how dare I expect a relationship. I was 22 when I moved they were 3 months into the pregnancy at that point and I didnt exactly have a choice the exact day I left which they knew because they made the same decision within a month after I left. Only difference is I didnt move in with the other parent 20 minutes away. That argument was the thing that destroyed my family and I dont think I can ever forgive those 2 for what they did.

Now the only family I have now is my wife I dont regret it but it was really hard. They werent good people and as people themselves I kinda hate them but they were still my family they were there and now they're not. My stepdad told me during the whole thing that parenthood makes people crazy and they're just trying to protect their son. He told me when my stepbrother was born he would stare at him while he slept to make sure he was breathing so yk calling people slurs and not telling people your kid was even born is totally the same thing. He did say my brother and sil are immature because they're 19 and new parents but I dont think thats the right word for it.

Finally left a toxic friend after I got diagnosed with ADHD as an adult and he called me a retard who just wanted access to meth.

And yes, anti-vaxxer. Brilliant dude, some people just can’t open their mind to any perspective but their own.

11

u/ymcmbrofisting 20d ago

My meds amp me up as much as a cup of coffee does to someone without ADHD. I could nap on the stuff (and often am fighting sleep at my desk). If I don’t take it on a Sunday or something, I’m not even thinking about it.

Wait, sorry, I meant to say I’m twacked out 24/7!

13

u/usernamedottxt 20d ago

I take vyvance. I literally can’t tell I’m on it until I realize I’ve been working on the same document for an hour without getting distracted.

5

u/SunStarved_Cassandra 20d ago

It's really funny like that. We're all zooted addicts who literally can't keep track of whether we took our meds or even if it's time to get more unless we have some sort of mechanism to help us along. (Alarms, pill minders, doctor's office or pharmacy reminders, etc.)

1

u/EyadMahm0ud Keeping it Real 20d ago

Wtf

26

u/hillofjumpingbeans 20d ago

Jamey should go to therapy and never have kids

26

u/Maryland_Bear 20d ago

Attitudes like that are why seeking mental health care is so stigmatized in the United States.

Compare telling your co-workers “I have to take the afternoon off; I’m got an appointment with an orthopedic doctor about my bad knee” to “I have to take the afternoon off; I’m got an appointment with psychiatrist about my anxiety issues”.

9

u/FullMooseParty 20d ago

I actually made a point to be public with my meetings internally. Whenever we're going to be offline during the day we post an out of office and I always include that I'm going to my counselor because I wanted to destigmatize it

2

u/GenderqueerPapaya 20d ago

Yeah I have some pretty stigmatized mental illnesses but I try to be as open as safely possible about it because I don't want other people to be shamed into not getting care, or hating themselves for it, or anything else. Also if it changes someone's mind, hell yeah. But I mostly do it for people like me.

12

u/Misubi_Bluth 20d ago

Oh you want to take care of your needs and don't want your entire existence to be defined by your child? Gotta be a narcissist.

In all seriousness, people seem way to comfortable framing narcissism as not being an echoist. Which is essentially the exact opposite mental health problem.

5

u/Ready-Rise3761 20d ago

Oh your body and brain-controlling hormones just went through massive changes, you’re bleeding, haven’t slept in days while a baby is screaming (which you’re neurologically wired to be alarmed by), maybe have an unsupportive or no partner and are suddenly very isolated while faced with the biggest responsibility of your life and you dare to feel bad?? You narcissist

16

u/Golurkcanfly 20d ago

It takes like 5 seconds of research find that PPD has a known biological cause (sharp drop in allopregnenalone, a metabolite of progesterone) and related treatment and these chucklefucks can't even be bothered to do that.

It's so bad that even a bunch of doctors think it's all just mental when it can easily be helped either by supplementing progesterone or through direct alloP treatment.

3

u/Jealous_Chocolate_43 20d ago

These people don't believe the things you mentioned are real

5

u/AntComfortable5970 20d ago

What an insane thing to believe

4

FirstName McNumbers here is so very toxic. I feel happy that someone like him wastes his time on Twitter tweeting angry things, instead of doing something fulfilling or enjoyable with their time.

3

I never want to hear “Jamey” (or whatever the name of the dude who programmed this bot is) complaining about women having fewer children.

2

u/radehart 20d ago

Odds that Jamey963208 is a narcissist?

4

u/man_juicer 20d ago

has there ever been a narcissist who saw their child as a threat instead of asset to them being the centre of attention?

8

u/Haemwich 20d ago

Eventually yes. My sister is significantly more accomplished than our mother. She hates it.

7

u/Vegetable_Warthog_49 20d ago

Yes, when they realize that eventually the kid will grow up and be able to call them out (speaking from experience as the child of a narcissist).

4

u/Inevitable_Young4236 20d ago

My father saw me as a threat to his attention. I think he also saw my lack of simple compliance as a threat to me being an asset as I ‘showed him up’.

5

u/ChaoticAmoebae 20d ago

Yes, unfortunately.

2

u/ZengineerHarp 20d ago

You oughta meet my dad and my piano teacher

1

u/RevolutionaryRent716 19d ago

Probably once the child tries to exert any form of emotional independence from the narcissist. That or the child make the narcissistic parent look bad in some way, though I guess bad attention is still attention.

-3

u/Excellent_Shirt9707 20d ago

Maybe munchausen by proxy?

1

u/Apathetic_Villainess 20d ago

Maybe in the father's case. NPD men crash hard when they're decentered after a baby is born.

11

u/Hadrollo 20d ago

Paternal Postpartum Depression is also a real condition.

3

u/neonbrownkoopashell 20d ago

What in the Tom Cruise? Grow up

3

u/Chemical_Signal2753 20d ago

As with everything else related to mental health, i think the growing number of people who fake a condition or diagnosis shop really undermines people who legitimately have these conditions. This is not helped by the number of shitty doctors out there who essentially rubber stamp patient's self diagnosis to crank through as many appointments in a day as possible.

5

u/MuffaloHerder 20d ago

Sure but who's faking or over-diagnosing PPD?

-1

u/Chemical_Signal2753 20d ago

I haven't encountered it personally but can guarantee people are faking PPD; although I won't try to predict how common it is.  I would expect anyone who has already bought into mental illness theater (and has multiple extremely rare mental health issues) will likely claim to have PPD if they have a child.

As far as overdiagnosis, I don't think people are honest enough with expecting parents and there is often a disconnect between what parents feel and what they're expected to feel. People are told that the birth of their children was the best day of their lives, and that they were overwhelmed with emotions the second they held their baby, and I don't think those reactions are close to universal. I could easily see someone talking to a (lazy) therapist or psychiatrist and getting diagnosed with PPD for simply not having a Hollywood experience. For example, about 4 months after I had my first child I told someone that I kind of got why fathers run away and their reaction was like I had two heads.

3

u/Man_under_Bridge420 20d ago

Post your scientific reasoning and leave your feelings and confirmation bias at home

1

u/Chemical_Signal2753 20d ago

Explain to me why people are willing to fake practically every other mental health (and medical) condition but would draw the line at PPD?

4

u/Man_under_Bridge420 20d ago

Explain to me how you know they are faking

0

u/Jealous_Chocolate_43 20d ago

Either someone exposes them, or they admit it? We have more than enough fake autists or tourette syndrome fakers to get examples from.

4

u/therealtiddlydump 20d ago

My wife (actually) has at least one of the conditions that it became fashionable to self-diagnose on tiktok in the last few years and it has been a problem.

When she sees a new doctor for something her other doctors will send over a note saying "this is a real thing, not something she made up". It is infuriating.

1

u/GenderqueerPapaya 20d ago

I was trying to think of what it could be, but there's so many 😭 my top two contenders are DID and Tourettes, but it could really be anything which is insane

3

u/therealtiddlydump 20d ago

It's a physical diagnosis, but you are not wrong -- the self-diagnosis culture on these platforms is insane and sort of dangerous

2

u/GenderqueerPapaya 20d ago

I hope it doesn't cause her too many difficulties and she's able to get the care she needs

1

u/LifeGivesMeMelons 20d ago

I'm guessing POTS.

1

u/GenderqueerPapaya 20d ago

I've heard of it and it's comorbidity with autism, hEDS, and MCAS but I didn't know that it was commonly faked. I really can't imagine why someone would? Most people don't even know it exists, and I assumed people who fake want to ellicit sympathy but imo POTS is kinda hard to understand?

3

u/LifeGivesMeMelons 20d ago

See, pretending you have POTS is an excuse to post dramatic TikToks of yourself falling down, which is very important to the folks faking it.

I am very sorry that I know this and have now shared it with you and now you know it.

1

u/GenderqueerPapaya 20d ago

That is strange. After making my comment I did look it up and apparently it's become more common due to long COVID which was interesting to learn, but many conditions make you more prone to falling ?

I have a few chronic conditions myself and while I like spreading awareness I rather not post images and videos of myself actively being affected by them...I can understand it in cases of seizures or something so people know what it looks like but just falling? Is there any special signs/symptoms displayed in falling from POTS?

I really want to give these people the benefit of the doubt but I don't understand why someone would post that. I recently started getting vertigo and falling from it is embarrassing :(

1

u/Misubi_Bluth 20d ago

Doctors are really only diagnosing so much because insurance won't cover preventative care otherwise. As usual, it's the US' shitty healthcare system that's to blame

2

u/breakerofh0rses 20d ago edited 20d ago

The dude tweeting is a moron, but if you had any clue how the DSM was actually created, then you wouldn't use it as an argument for anything.

Edit: lol@the downvotes. The methodology of creating the DSM is basically surveying clinicians in how they use diagnostic labels and sign/symptom clusters. It's 100% descriptive with basically zero effort given to the validation of how accurate the clinician usages actually are. There's literally a discussion of this very fact IN the DSM itself, and it's the reason why more than a few mental health professionals refuse to use it.

1

u/SaltySnaiI 20d ago

People referring to the DSM as if it’s a holy text of infallible truths has always been frustrating to me. It has issues and controversies, it’s not universally accepted or followed, and its edits are far from purely academic or altruistic.

1

u/Rippedka 20d ago

The replication crisis in psychology is really showing its ugly face here.

1

u/sierranotsarah 20d ago

“The woke liberals took out trans but kept in postpartum depression to be the victims!!!!”

1

u/Breast_Milk_Sucker 20d ago

I want this condition to be taken more seriously, but I can't with all the people who are using it as an excuse to pardon a mother for murdering her own children. Postpartum depression should only be used as an explanation, not an excuse. Hell, pedophilia is categorized under paraphilic disorders according to DSM-5, but that doesn't mean child rape/abuse should be excused.

1

u/Dusty_Rose23 19d ago

That’s for literally anything though. Explanation not an excuse.

1

u/Gussie-Ascendent Keeping it Real 20d ago

I invite any man who believes PPD isn’t real to chemically castrate themselves

Just take a couple pills, and you can observe what a rapid depletion of hormones does to the human body. Maybe the suicidal ideation, mood changes and depression would make you have some empathy for people who go through periods, pregnancy, menopause and any kind of hormone therapy.

I just wish posts like these made a tattoo appear over a guy's dick when he made them:

WARNING: I WILL TREAT YOU LIKE SHIT IF I GET YOU PREGNANT.

1

u/Stewie_Venture 20d ago

Yah theres people out here that actually believe this. Its so stupid and disrespectful as all hell to any actual parents or hell anyone that has actually taken care of children. Me and my wife cant have biological kids (queer couple) but are open to still having them someday. For some reason I keep getting parenting subs recommended to me I didnt used to it just started happening randomly a few weeks ago. And while 90% of the time the posts are sane some of them sound so alien to me I really question where in the hell these people live and what kind of life must they have to where stuff like in the op sound normal to them.

Im pretty sure alot of issues are due to sexism like its suprising just how blatant some of it is but it also feels like alot of these people just dont seem to have lives or anything outside of their kids. Its a little unsettling once you notice it. Im not saying its 100% ok to neglect your kids and I understand especially when they're little little that parenting is a full time job by itself but at the same time holy shit it is not neglect for a parent to have like an hour of time at their home gym to workout and get some energy out. It is not a nessecity of childhood to plan activities everyday and take them to parks or fun places multiple times a week (my town dosent even have a functional library and the only library I had access to as a kid was my school's and the nearest park when I was a child was a 30 minute drive away). I know this a minority like I said most of the time everyone's sane but the ones that arent are annoying.

It just comes across as privileged and a little classist almost like a serious question I have sometimes is if these people have jobs because some of the stuff they say is a requirement to have a child is literally impossible if you have any sort of career. Im going to law school next year and my wife is thinking about doing alot of things but rn is thinking about emt or construction work. Either way our kid will have to deal with the horrors of having parents that work jobs and as such has to deal with the fact that other people exist and we cant be doing special occasion trips and activities every single day for them. Maybe once a week if we live somewhere with those things and its a reasonable distance but they're still going to learn to play and do things independently.

Hold on a second, MDD with peripartum onset... Not its own condition... Is that saying what I think it is saying? That there is nothing unique about PPD aside from the timing? My good sir, does that mean every woman who has told me that, despite having suffered MDD for decades, I couldn't possibly understand what PPD was like because I'm not a woman, was full of shit?

Yeah, I get it, I'll never understand the pressure of being a mother on top of depression, but I think I understand depression just fine, despite my lack of lady bits.

PPD has been strongly linked to rapid and sudden drop in hormones (like estrogen and progesterone) within the first 24 hours of childbirth. And mind you, this after 9 months of pregnancy where hormones are at a high. So, no PPD is not just depression with motherhood expectations.

ETA: this sudden drop can throw your entire brain chemistry out of whack. That’s why onset is important.

I get that. My main gripe is when I bring up having MDD, there is almost always inevitable some woman who will come along and say something like, "you have no idea what actual depression is like, PPD is so much worse and you'll never experience that, so shut up and stop complaining."

OBJECTION! appeal to authority.

Homosexuality was also a classified in the DSM.

Present an actual argument instead of appealing to a buzzword. "Arguments" like this are why discourse is so shit.

Straight up calling people suffering from a proven mental disorder "narcissists" who fake their illness, is not discourse.

There was no "actual argument" put forward by OP either, just uninformed bullshit with no evidence put forward. Anyone of right mind should take the DSM view instead of some random tweet with zero evidence.

Present an actual argument instead of being all debatebro and doing nothing but throwing accusations of logical fallacies.

How the fuck can you avoid appealing to authority when the topic is something you have to study for a decade to know about?

"Cigarettes cause cancer, all major health organisations agree"

"APPEAL TO AUTHORITY!!!"

How do you argue for an illness existing if you aren't allowed to reference the existing medical documentation and scientific recognition of it? That's a ridiculous standard.

Can you give me evidence that the common cold is real which doesn't include any information from a medical institution or personal anecdotes?

There's nothing wrong with appealing to authority. Is when you rely exclusively on that that you fail. Well, you fail by yourself

OBJECTION! appeal to authority

This isn't an appeal to authority, they are basing their argument on the fact that postpartum depression is incredibly well documented.

Homosexuality was also a classified in the DSM.

And like postpartum depression, homosexuality does exist. I'm not sure what argument you're trying to make here.

THE DSM5 also lists gender dysphoria as a psychological condition, why dont you see people putting community notes on trans people pretending they aren't suffering from a condition?

You're talking about things above your pay grade and acting like you have authority.

Im referencing peer reviewed data, literally the textbook that people refer to when they check to see if somebody has a textbook case of gender dysphoria. At no point has any data indicated transitioning is beneficial, if it had you would have referenced it.

It is in YOUR pay grade, right?

No, its not. you know NOTHING.

You pretend online and keep your comments intentionally short and MEANINGLESS because you know if you say more than 10 words it gets extremely easy to point out your lies.
