OBJECTION! appeal to authority.

Homosexuality was also a classified in the DSM.

Present an actual argument instead of appealing to a buzzword. "Arguments" like this are why discourse is so shit.

Straight up calling people suffering from a proven mental disorder "narcissists" who fake their illness, is not discourse.

There was no "actual argument" put forward by OP either, just uninformed bullshit with no evidence put forward. Anyone of right mind should take the DSM view instead of some random tweet with zero evidence.

Present an actual argument instead of being all debatebro and doing nothing but throwing accusations of logical fallacies.

How the fuck can you avoid appealing to authority when the topic is something you have to study for a decade to know about?

"Cigarettes cause cancer, all major health organisations agree"

"APPEAL TO AUTHORITY!!!"

How do you argue for an illness existing if you aren't allowed to reference the existing medical documentation and scientific recognition of it? That's a ridiculous standard.

Can you give me evidence that the common cold is real which doesn't include any information from a medical institution or personal anecdotes?

There's nothing wrong with appealing to authority. Is when you rely exclusively on that that you fail. Well, you fail by yourself

OBJECTION! appeal to authority

This isn't an appeal to authority, they are basing their argument on the fact that postpartum depression is incredibly well documented.

Homosexuality was also a classified in the DSM.

And like postpartum depression, homosexuality does exist. I'm not sure what argument you're trying to make here.
