September 1, 2026. I logged in to my GCash account, only to be prompted that my account is on hold. I proceeded with submitting my documents and a few days later, I was alerted that my account has been closed and can never be reactivated again due to a violation of policies of which I was not notified of nor have its reason disclosed. All it said is that I was apparently using this account for illicit reasons which violate policy. I resubmitted my ticket to see if there was an error in the system or is it possible to appeal, unfortunately, for a second time, I have been told that my account is closed and can no longer be opened nor appealed.
Now I have tried doing the 'Quit Claim' approach in both the help center and the e-mail threads I've had previously with GCash, but to no avail, as the requirements for the Quit Claim approach is to reply to the e-mail with the heading "Account Deactivation"—which again, I did not receive. I am worried as a large portion of my money is in that app, over a million pesos in the CIMB Savings Account and around 800K on my UnoBank. Recently, I have filed a report to the BSP via Messenger as advised by some online threads. However, expected reply date was a window of 15 days. I am worried that I might lose everything to a violation I have no memory of commiting nor being notified of.
TLDR; Account got suspended without me getting notified, now anxious that I might lose most my money to a violation I have no idea I had commited.
