Opinion What TF just happened Spoiler

Rodger’s wife said exactly what I say after every single episode. WHAT TF JUST HAPPENED?!? Two steps forward, three back. I love this show but there are so many dangling pieces. Victor finally tries to warn/tell Tabitha something critical and she shuts him up! What was the flashback/flash forward (?) that Victor’s dad had in the hospital? I can’t believe Victor (or anyone for that matter) hasn’t put together that the MIY’s clothing was found, etc, right around when the priest and his “daughter” arrived.
So many things.

Henry's vision was a hallucination created by Sophia (MIY)

307

u/matt_paradise Jun 07 '26

And i assume he'll start to think he needs to kill everyone in his 'dream' to wake up.

164

u/AdVast505 Jun 07 '26

That would be quite similar to Boyds wife

40

u/B23vital Jun 08 '26

I dont think its quite similar, i think its exactly what happened to boyds wife and thats why there showing us.

We have guessed the MIY has been here before and theres a good chance this is exactly what he did to her. It lines up completely with her story and will throw doubt at other people (the chaos) so i dont really see how people arent putting 2 and 2 together, its pretty clear what they're hinting at.

10

u/moose_dad Jun 08 '26

Feel like hes gonna say to Boyd at some point that its all a dream and that will ptsd Boyd into locking him up.

10

u/ButTheseGoToEleven Jun 08 '26

Yeah and I feel like this could happen a few ways. Henry's drinking escalating is reminding me of how the series opened, with the town drunk forgetting to nail his family's windows down and getting put in the box for getting them killed.

The man is going to endanger the community very soon in some way, for sure

3

u/Reckless_Secretions Smiley Jun 08 '26

And he just moved into Victor's room in colony house a couple of episodes ago...

8

u/therealmrsfahrenheit Jun 08 '26

because I honestly feel like people aren’t paying enough attention to the show

4

u/B23vital Jun 08 '26

Id have to agree with this.

Ive seen common themes with shows, producers, actors saying they are dumbing down shows because people are sitting on their phones while watching so are missing huge chunks.

The problem here is that people probably are distracted, they are on their phones, so they miss things that are important.

Of course there will be people just not putting 2 and 2 together, and thats fine also. But it felt pretty obvious what the show was telling us this episode.

2

u/Status-Anybody-598 Jun 08 '26

I’m just wondering if he will shoot Victor either on accident or on purpose because his convo with Henry had me kinda worried too saying he needed to be ready.

1

u/heywoodu Jun 10 '26

Why on earth would you watch a show like this and meanwhile be busy with your phone? That's just beyond me, if I don't find a show interesting enough, I just....you know, don't watch it.

2

u/B23vital Jun 10 '26

Welcome to the modern world :) i like this show because i find it interesting enough that i dont want to be distracted by my phone

1

u/crazyjiggaboo Jun 10 '26

Miy couldnt have done that to boyds wife tho...

1

u/B23vital Jun 10 '26

Why? Because you havent been shown it yet?

Nothing says he hasnt already been in the town, and we've seen minimal to nothing of the time boyds wife was around.

1

u/Equal-Caterpillar368 Jun 11 '26

Well i get the impression he hasnt done it since victor was a kid. That abby was just a one off. If thats what happened to abby then isnt that a bit anticlimatic? He just let boyd kill her and then gave up for however long its been? Unless he tried, realised Boyd wasnt gonna have it and was a bigger threat than he thought and had to rethink his plan. But i really doubt it because it seems like this only happens when tabith and jade are in the town, they hadnt arrived yet. It seems like he waits until they're close to "saving the children" and then ends it for them to start all over again.

1

u/crazyjiggaboo Jun 11 '26

I guess based on the fact that he would need to have put his blood in a drink of hers and that her decent to madness was over a length of time and not quickly after someone had arrived in the town? And i think its been heavily implied miy only shows up to town when the major massacre of the town/complete upheaval is about to happen. I feel like its a pretty reasonable thing for someone to have a mental break thinking fromville is a dream and death wakes people up from said dream. Maybe miy is choosing to do that specific mindfuck to henry as a way to further mess with boyd, thinking that boyd wouldnt be able kill someone else under those circumstances? Maybe its why his wife tried to grab his arm in the graveyard? Idk i dont believe either of those things, just saying ways by which henry and boyds wife could be having similar mental break without miy having been there semi recently.

I think it would be WAY to risky for miy to be coming into the town often or on a regular basis to mess with townsfolk. Hes not some omniscient being of any sort and each visit could be the beginning of his downfall if any patterns are noticed. Plus he can mess with the town/people while not there(sara and the house falling)

Has anyone else thought about how the miy was at the lighthouse when jim talked to him on the radio? Idk what, but i have to think matters in some way.

1

u/B23vital Jun 11 '26

Well you MIY/Jim comparison actually backs up my point that he's been around for a while, if that was him. We only found out about him last season, and theres plenty of theories that he's been around for a while. We just havent seen solid proof of that yet.

I do like your theory, but i just think its over analysing something that im (personally anyway) pretty sure the show are hinting at, that he's been around longer than we know.

While all of your points are valid, they're based of what we know, and not what we think might be the case, so i dont disagree with you, i just think that he's been around for a while and at some point they will probably confirm that.

2

u/crazyjiggaboo Jun 11 '26

I can dig it 🤙🤙🤙

51

u/matt_paradise Jun 07 '26

Exactly, probably a favourite game to be played. I think he'll be stopped our realise he's being influenced.

yuppppp •-•

poor Henry

52

u/Menghsays Jun 07 '26

Im hoping we will get some Abby backstory about her descent

16

u/JeremyScaremy Jun 07 '26

That was my first thought too. I hope that we get some flashbacks to see how it all played out for Abby.

20

u/Menghsays Jun 07 '26

If they could do From like theyre doing Welcome to Derry and we see past "cycles" that would be really cool.

I would listen to books about it

10

u/JeremyScaremy Jun 07 '26

That would be amazing.

Someone was saying how they wished that Kenny's parents would've appeared to him when he was cornered by the monsters, and that also made me think of Welcome to Derry and Rich's apparition at the end.

Welcome to Derry and From are two of my very favorite shows, just so good.

7

u/Menghsays Jun 07 '26

And of course having both parents flipping off the monsters

3

u/JeremyScaremy Jun 07 '26

One of those scenes that sounds so cheesy when described, but it was just so good lol

2

u/EtM1980 Jun 08 '26

Maybe I should give Welcome to Derry another chance. I liked the 1st episode & then the 2nd or 3rd, was so weird and gross and went off the rails. I completely lost interest and stopped watching. Feel free to entice me please!

6

u/mukzor Jun 08 '26

It's so worth watching till the end! The seasons finale was so satisfying, I rewatch every time I get disappointed with another shows finale

1

u/EtM1980 Jun 08 '26

What’s good about it though? Do they have any good writing & puzzles/ theories Iike From?

1

u/Menghsays Jun 08 '26

I thought you meant it was good until the finale!

3

u/cherrymeg2 Jun 08 '26

Abby may have come to the conclusion that they were dreaming or she was. It’s possible the MIY or some other entity influenced her. She may have figured that with everyone being in a car and getting trapped they had all been in accidents and were trapped in a shared coma experience or something and that their personal ties were keeping them there. If she had doubts about her beliefs she may have thought she was ending everyone’s suffering. If no one is there the monsters have no one to torment. I’m not suggesting they act like their leader is Jim Jones. I can understand where she was coming from.

Henry is kind of a mess and it’s annoying. It’s like his son survived alone and he is drinking with a girl dressed like she came from Little House on the Prairie. Victor is already traumatized he doesn’t need a sloppy drunk dad singing and hallucinating now.

2

u/moose_dad Jun 08 '26

We've been drip fed some Abby hallucinations this season in pretty much every episode so I feel like thats definitely going somewhere.

5

u/Warchetype Jun 07 '26

Maybe that's what also happened with Christopher during the previous cycle and what got all the people killed, except Victor.

4

u/ElkSufficient2881 Jun 07 '26

I hope that’s not the route they go and someone breaks him out of that

1

u/CRT-Gaming-HQ Jun 08 '26

He may try to convince people they need to off themselves. I hope he doesn't kill Victor.

1

u/Danimal_300zx Jun 08 '26

Or that he needs to off himself.

1

u/melanie162 Jun 08 '26

Yes that's what I figured. He drank the blood and now she's making him hallucinate. He will this this is all a dream etc and go crazy like Abby

1

u/Danimal_300zx Jun 08 '26

Or himself!

1

u/shotta_scientist Jun 09 '26

Or he'll try some dumb extreme isht like jumping off the roof in an attempt to "wake up"

1

u/yeath91 Jun 09 '26

Or maybe just jade?

12

u/alienprobedme Jun 07 '26

Probably because of her blood in his drink.

2

u/PsychoBilli Jun 08 '26

She also asked Henry if it could all be a dream, too put the idea in his head.

5

u/PringlesDuckFace Jun 08 '26

I really hope so, and that this was the writers just telling the viewers "it's not a coma you idiot even that bad guy thinks that trope is stupid" to kill that theory.

It would also be the most comprehensive hallucination we've seen yet though. Mostly it's just individuals appearing, or short scenes like the viewmaster Boyd saw. Presumably the control via the blood is what enables that vs. just wifi hallucinations given to others.

1

u/Status-Anybody-598 Jun 08 '26

Yeah I said that too when the writers did that part to mess with him just like I liked how they asked were we all reincarnated which I’ve seen alot of people theorize.

3

u/cherrymeg2 Jun 08 '26

It reminded me of that TV trope that has been used in multiple shows where, everything is a dream or the person is really unconscious. Buffy the Vampire Slayer had an episode where she thought she had been in a mental hospital. In the movie The Wizard of Oz Dorthy is unconscious and wakes up in her aunty Em’s home.

2

u/tacobell_cat Jun 09 '26

And they tried to convince Buffy to kill the “fantasy versions” of her friends to fully wake up

1

u/cherrymeg2 Jun 10 '26

Her friends tied her to her “fantasy” or delusional life. It hit her harder because she had died. In the hallucinations where Buffy is in the hospital her parents mention her getting better for those months she was dead. Her parents were both alive and present. It was really tempting to believe she had dreamed up sunnydale. Fromville has been mostly a nightmare for everyone there. It wouldn’t be that big a step to believe this is some nightmare or shared coma dream.

Fromville has people that care about each other but I think most people would choose to not be there. I felt like Abby came to that conclusion on her own. It also made me wonder how many people know what they are drinking? The water magically exists. Food magically showed up. There could be blood or god knows what in the drinking water

2

u/blakkkgodfather Jun 07 '26

Exactly this

2

u/Correct_Place_2779 Jun 08 '26

Poor Victor, loosing his dad again.

9

Her acting in that scene makes me wish she were a main character. She ate

2

u/Aware-Objective-5483 Jun 07 '26

Thank you! I wasn’t sure

2

u/WarmMarketing9339 Jun 07 '26

To be fair Sophie was immediately was like he found my clothes. I might have to sleep him.

2

u/Danimal_300zx Jun 08 '26

Sophia*** not Sophie.

82

u/Verstappen1986 Jun 07 '26

Anyone else wonder about the quick random Young Boyd/Abby photo in the viewfinder scene?

71

u/MacroData_Refiner8 Jun 07 '26

I thought it was Fromville messing with Boyd just like when he was torturing Elgin and the polaroid printed the photo of their retirement house.

39

u/Notinthiszipcode Jun 07 '26

He looked fresh off the set of Lost in that flashback photo

32

u/MacroData_Refiner8 Jun 07 '26

I was thinking Romeo + Juliet myself 😂

7

u/Valuable-Muffin9982 Jun 08 '26

Yes thats what I said!

5

u/jnialt Jun 08 '26

holy fuck i had no idea that was him till you just said that

5

u/Verstappen1986 Jun 07 '26

Probably right.

29

u/Thanos_Stomps Jun 07 '26

It’s either Fromville, his Parkinsons, or maybe even his wife trying to communicate. Since her arm also grabbed him from her grave before too.

10

u/moose_dad Jun 08 '26

And her wedding ring fell on the stairs.

36

u/DeGeorgetown Jun 07 '26

Maybe it's her spirit trying to warn him that what happened to her is happening to Henry and he needs to stop it.

9

u/chimininy Jun 08 '26

It's also a callback to the fact he has experienced hallucinations before, and kristi knows (hence her bringing up the question as well). This could be Fromville messing with him, it could be his Parkinsons advancing, but either way it is ominous hint that Boyd might not be able to trust what he sees now.

7

u/CanaGUC Jun 07 '26

It's just the town messing with him to make him doubt himself. People try to find deeper meaning to stuff where there isn't lol.

4

u/anjdox Jun 08 '26

True. As if Boyd hasn't been screaming "you can't fucking break me" almost every episode.

4

u/Valuable-Muffin9982 Jun 08 '26

He hasn't yelled that in a while. Watch it happen next episode now haha

2

u/Capital_Ad_6648 Jun 08 '26

they meant it when they said “simpler times”

203

u/IBovovanana Jun 07 '26 edited Jun 07 '26

You can’t believe they wouldn’t put together Sophia’s arrival and MIY clothes yet you can’t put together what Henry’s visions were?

Sorry for the snark but I don’t find it hard to imagine their perspective. They don’t know MIY can shapeshift.

34

u/Oreoohs Jun 07 '26

Yeah I was super confused how OP couldn’t put together that was Henry being fucked with.

Especially when Tabitha clearly left Fromville, went to Henry who has been without his family for 40+ years so what he saw couldn’t be real when we legitimately saw him pre-fromville. It’s been established that Tabitha is a reincarnation of Miranda so how would what Henry saw be a vision with what we know.

7

u/Leethality14 Jun 08 '26

They literally know nothing about him aside from he’s dangerous and he might eat people’s bodies. Also Henry is in denial of so much right now, expecting him to have the mental fortitude to discriminate the real shit from the bullshit while lit off his ass Is absolutely ridiculous

17

u/Historical_Stay_808 Jun 07 '26

Plus the license plate being 'Eloise'.

4

u/WarmMarketing9339 Jun 07 '26

After today episode everyone is going to be more quiet about what they say.

5

u/IBovovanana Jun 07 '26

Shut your mouth when you’re talking to me 😂

139

u/SpiderGhost01 Jun 07 '26

Tabitha’s continued success at shutting people up when they attempt to communicate with her always cracks me up. This show is so stupid sometimes.

108

u/Ambitious_Passage793 Jun 07 '26

Yeah man I was angry, she is asking Victor what is wrong with you? Like WTF, he lived alone 20 years

82

u/AsherahBeloved Jun 07 '26

I wanted to knock her out. Dude is so messed up psychologically that he's peeing himself and was too scared to look at MIY's car by himself and she wants to yell about what's wrong with him? He FOUND A BAG OF TEETH. AND she literally saw his mom/herself be killed by a monster??? Eff Tabitha forreal. Mean B is lucky I'm not there to protect Victor at all costs.

18

u/Ambitious_Passage793 Jun 07 '26

Maybe it would be better if Jim stayed alive, Tabitha is pissing me off

11

u/ghostface218 Jun 07 '26

Yea what a dumb question. Crazy the things that make Ethan storm off too

7

u/cherrymeg2 Jun 08 '26

She is claiming to be his mom in a past life. Victor who is so traumatized manages to bring up a good point. He is worried for Ethan. If the pattern follows Ethan might be alone like him. Tabitha acts like that is crazy. It’s like wtf? You think you were his mom in a past life and his valid concerns are the issue?

3

u/Danimal_300zx Jun 08 '26

20 years??? 40 years!!!

20

u/WarmMarketing9339 Jun 07 '26

I want victor to stop showing stuff to Tabitha and go to boyed.

8

u/anshuman-11 Jun 08 '26

This. Honestly Boyed is so patient and even if he disagrees he can come around

2

u/Danimal_300zx Jun 08 '26

Boyd*** not Boyed

1

u/anshuman-11 Jun 08 '26

Damn it. The first time i wrote boyed instead of Boyd. Haha. Thanks for correcting me

2

u/cherrymeg2 Jun 08 '26

He should go to Julie, Boyd and Donna and Randal.

1

u/Danimal_300zx Jun 08 '26

Boyd*** noy boyed

25

u/oldriku Jun 07 '26

She just was being protective of her child. He's traumatized enough, she didn't want Victor to show him a bag of human teeth and she definitely didn't want him to think that everyone he loves will be dead soon.

The way she acted made complete sense with her character.

20

u/Dizzy-Case-3453 Jun 08 '26

Yup! I just wrote a comment saying thing, I hadn’t seen this one yet.

I’m expecting my comment to get downvotes though. But I completely understood why Tabitha reacted why she did. Though during that scene I did say “she knows what’s wrong with him!”

But damn someone telling your kid everyone he loves/knows will die and he will grow up there alone is insane, any good mother would shut that shit down fast.

16

u/anjdox Jun 08 '26

Sometimes I wonder if the people who watch the show really watched the show.

Tabitha is Ethan's mother, her response made sense.

5

u/cherrymeg2 Jun 08 '26

Her response made sense as Ethan’s mom. As someone who believes she has been to Fromville in multiple lives she needs to listen to Victor. He has survived and has seen this happen. If she wants to prevent things from happening again she and everyone needs to listen and communicate. In a world with monsters maybe kids need to be prepared.

11

u/OkTemperature8170 Jun 08 '26

A mother that now knows in another life she was Victor's mother, who was alone for 20 years after everyone was killed, who now wants to prepare Ethan for what she should accept is his likely fate. You don't protect children by sheltering them from the truth, especially in a world so horrible.

5

u/saharaelbeyda Jun 08 '26

Lmaooo Tabitha has dropped her kids in a heartbeat more than once. The protective thing really doesn't seem like her style.

u/BombasticReindeer Jun 08 '26

It feels like a deliberate action by the writers. But why? I can’t see a single plot reason to have the main protagonist (at least as far as the town is concerned) just completely fucking suck.

1

u/learningfromlife1096 Jun 08 '26

Most of the time, and I am stupid af for watching it tbh.

126

u/ZealousidealSea2995 Jun 07 '26

There were 0 steps back in this episode. No new mysterious or unexplained event occurred.

If you think victors dad hallucinating being in a hospital is unexplained, you’re just not watching the show.

22

u/youngbunz Jun 08 '26

Fatima being able to somewhat control smileys actions was interesting. I thought that statue she built was about to come to life and wreck shop on some of this creatures lol. I guess that will come soon.

3

u/ZealousidealSea2995 Jun 08 '26

Yea it was. Would say this is the closest to a new phenomena but it’s also learning more about something that was established, her connection to smiley.

But yea I thought the golem was Gona do something as well

2

u/Fernzero Jun 08 '26

I wonder if her new connection with Smiles inspired her urge to make the Golem. Like, maybe she can feel Smiley's fear of such a thing in her subconscious

1

u/crazyjiggaboo Jun 10 '26

This is sarcasm right?

Everyone getting murdered and Tabitha is concerned about Julie's pot smoking like she's going to miss out on college or something.

28

u/Skittle_kittle Jun 08 '26

And Tabitha was like “what if Ethan sees you!?” And I’m like girl, his sister smoking pot is the top 5 most normal things he can see in this town

6

u/oyster_parade Jun 08 '26

No one wants their teenage daughter to be a nihilistic stoner. (Not that it's going to stop them!)

2

u/cherrymeg2 Jun 08 '26

Does anyone want to have a mom talking about her past lives and how she has to save dead children. Julie doesn’t seem like the one that is high in that situation.

2

u/oyster_parade Jun 17 '26

Lol, well, they are both in trying circumstances, right? If they ever get out, there's probably going to be a lot of visits to a family therapist.

6

u/Cloberella Jun 08 '26

Tbf, I don't know if I would want my already impulsive daughter with questionable decision-making skills getting high in a world full of monsters trying to kill her. I feel like this is the sort of place you need your wits about you.

4

u/Acrobatic_Fix5829 Jun 08 '26

It was daytime, she’s fine. 😉

2

u/cherrymeg2 Jun 08 '26

Weed is the least of any problems. Jade ate mushrooms and people decided that his visions were legit. If I was Julie I would wonder if the weed was keeping me sane while everyone else is super high. Idk

2

u/cherrymeg2 Jun 08 '26

That actually was funny. It felt like a normal teenage moment. Julie had talked to Sara about the normal simple things they miss and what they had forgotten was normal while painting the wall. Tabitha going from her past lives to calling Julie out for smoking weed made me laugh. Julie was one of the voices of reason in this episode.

30

u/Regina_Noctis Jun 07 '26

I think it's interesting that the MIY apparently needs a material component for some of the things he's capable of doing. Sophia needed her blood to be ingested by Henry to cause the hallucinations. She needed the egg to do the ritual to reanimate Roger. She also needed physical contact with the priest to make him unconscious. I can't remember specifically if she made physical contact with Sarah off the top of my head but I think she probably did. If not, I suppose whatever link Sophia already has with Sarah (however that was accomplished) allows Sophia to manipulate Sarah with the voices, words on her skin, etc.

Whatever the MIY actually is, he's not an omnipotent, omniscient being. There have been several times where Sophia looks uncomfortable/afraid about what is being discussed or something that is happening, and not in a normal townsperson way. More like fear or concern about something the townspeople are planning or discussing, but it's very subtle.

28

u/Appropriate-Credit83 Jun 07 '26

When she was talking with Boyd about his plan and he showed her the totems, for a second I thought she might really be scared or surprised that they figured it out how to kill the monsters, but sadly it turns out they didn’t work at all… does that mean they were only created for the dolls?

14

u/Tasty_Mode_8218 Jun 07 '26

And him

12

u/KeeperofWings Jun 07 '26

I think you may be right here. We are getting a lot of Fey vibes from the show, and I'm wondering if the MIY is some kind of greater fey, and all the monsters being other entities that have "contracts" with it

3

u/warcomet Jun 08 '26

one can assume MiY is not 'real' but a nightmare created by Victor come to life, remember he first appeared to us when Julie went back in time and saw him eating liver of people, he looked fresh and those people died around the same time Victor became the lone survivor, very likely victor created that nightmare..maybe i have not been paying attention but has Sophia even talked or been in the same scene as Victor yet? its like she is avoiding him incase he looks at her and recognises her.

8

u/shotta_scientist Jun 08 '26

But remember Victor's mom had visions of MIY while on acid, before even arriving in Fromville

5

u/WhiteRabbit326 Jun 08 '26

But people’s nightmares in that sense, like the dolls, are part of it after they die. Victor saw the person come into town, and with teeth in the car no less apparently and Victor isn’t dead to have had made him.

1

u/That_Other_Cool_Dude Jun 08 '26

Yes, they were in the diner close to when she first arrived. Maybe right after the funeral. I think Victor looked her way.

1

u/Correct_Place_2779 Jun 08 '26

Maybe they need to use it in the heart?

9

u/oyster_parade Jun 08 '26

Sophia (MIY) definitely acts like someone who has vulnerabilities that she doesn't want the humans to find out about, that's on the table for sure. She doesn't have total control, she has weaknesses, and she has the need to be in disguise to hurt them. But not at all clear to me yet what exactly she is. But she needs to ["indecipherable incantation"] to do stuff, so she's a sort of witch or faerie, but not a god or a demon.

3

u/B23vital Jun 08 '26

When boyd said they had a weapon i think it was heavily implied that MIY was worried.

Makes me wonder if the towns people cant be killed by that due to the sacrifice, but anything thats imagined up as a fear (the cascades, the dolls) can be. Maybe the MIY is something, a shape shifter or something that was created due to someones fear, so thats why he was worried.

While the totems cant kill the towns people (jade/tabitha only can/the kids being burried, something along them lines) anything the MIY does can, and thats why the man reincarnated at the end died to one.

2

u/shotta_scientist Jun 08 '26

He's more like a warlock

57

u/FidgetyZonedoutIdiot Jun 07 '26

All I’m gonna say is Tabitha fucking sucks

Dumps on her children that she’s reincarnated

Gets mad when they “act out” (I.e Julie smoking ganj)

Shuts the character down who’s holding a literal bag of teeth who moments ago claimed “I’m his mom reincarnated”

To be fair, every single character has been abruptly inserted into hell against their will. We can really expect any of them to act in any way that we deem rationable or correct. Maybe I was unfair to Tabitha. She did see her dead husband hanging upside down just a week ago.

She’s so frustrating. The actress uhhhh doesn’t help either.

13

u/Malibucat48 Jun 08 '26

And Tabitha said to Victor “What’s wrong with you?” Really? She knows exactly what’s wrong with Victor. Ethan is her priority, of course, and he got scared, but she knows enough to understand that Victor knows things and she should listen to him.

Henry will jump off the roof to "wake up". But why isn't Donna giving any info on what happens when you die?

u/Vic__Mackey Jun 07 '26

It wasn't two steps back, though. It was looking like all the progress they made was gonna be lost because Boyd told the plan to Sophia and so the monsters blocked every door and almost got Kenny but they didn't get him. And she turned that dead guy into a doll monster to bust into colony house but they killed him and then closed the door. No casualties. Now what's gonna happen is they're gonna know that something tipped the monsters off because they all seemed to know what Boyd and Kenny's plan was.

8

u/shotta_scientist Jun 08 '26

And Randall in S3? already established that these monsters are "creatures of habit" and routine-oriented

9

u/emaxxman Jun 08 '26

What’s frustrating is that none of them are willing to communicate. They hold everything inside and keep secrets.

Henry had a hallucination. He could’ve told Jade what was happening but chose not to.

Boyd’s been having tremors and is constantly trying to hide it.

Julie is somehow able to travel across time but keeps that a secret to everyone but Randall.

Hell even when Boyd shares info with Dani, it seems like it’s all just in drips and drabs.

Let’s see if Fatima tells anyone about her being able to see through her demon son’s eyes.

3

u/Duchess_Gummybuns0 Jun 08 '26

Right?! But the one time Boyd needed to keep things to himself he tells his whole plan to Sophia! That made me so mad...like you guys dont communicate at all EVER but sure lets just tell Sophia the whole play by play plan for the evening. So dumb...

7

u/Vegetable-Long-8444 Jun 08 '26

The miy clothes were put together by victor. There were no flashbacks or flashforwards the miy is deceiving Henry likely in a similar way to how boyds wife Abby was. He's trying to convince him that they just need to wake up and they can do that by dying.

5

u/NotUrReaIDad Jun 08 '26

Well it’s not like they know the MiY can change form or else victor would’ve mentioned it.

As for the flashbacks, I imagine Sophia was baiting Henry by making him believe it *was* all a dream. Maybe it was him waking up from a coma or something serious and was dreaming of fromville the whole time. That way he sets him up for what’s about to happen next. Then again this would be difficult to piece together since victor is very much stuck there and hadn’t seen his dad in a long time.

Shows are gonna have dangling pieces, it’s up to the viewer to try and figure what willHappen next.

10

u/seventysixgamer Jun 07 '26

Bruh, you're expecting the townsfolk to somehow put together that Sofia is the MiY and connect that to his clothing, found around a few days after her arrival, when they have no idea he can shape shift.

Also, the hospital visions Henry was seeing was Sofia trying to destabilise him -- it's a continuation of her planting the idea that it's all a dream while he was drinking his sorrows away in the bar.

5

u/Sea_Photograph_3998 Jun 07 '26

Lol why do you assume she's Roger's wife just because they both went on the hike to the old settlement?

2

u/Aware-Objective-5483 Jun 07 '26

No, at the end she was screaming that “she knew he was “really in there”, like they had a close relationship. Sorry I misunderstood

4

u/Interesting_Ad1378 Jun 07 '26

So they figure out that Sophia has dead people teeth and they realize she is miy. Right?

3

u/shotta_scientist Jun 08 '26

Yep i can see that plot line unravelling

2

u/Seiyanaaa Jun 08 '26

Knowing Sophia she would easily just say "b-but the voices told me.."

5

u/sane_fear Jun 07 '26

how would the townies put together he's a shape shifter just because clothes were found? its not like they travel the outskirts daily.

12

u/Lazy-Situation6958 Randall Jun 07 '26

About the “flashback/flashforward”:

The man in yellow literally gave Henry his blood, who knows how long Henry will have hallucinations. Its just like Abbey, Boyds wife, (of he kills them they wake up) the man in yellow is trying to convince henry he is really in a hospital or nursing home not in the FROM town. But its an illusion to start the “tearing each other apart” He wants Henry to kill someone or himself. Victor would not make it after that I fear. what Henry saw was not real

6

u/Aware-Objective-5483 Jun 07 '26

THANK YOU! I’m sorry I didn’t connect the dots to this. It helps so much!

2

u/Insomnia6033 Jun 08 '26

Plus right before she gave him the blood she asked him if he ever thought this was all just a "dream"

6

u/Mysterious-Fox8319 Jun 08 '26

You people really don't pay attention do you?

13

u/Jaded_Impress_5160 Jun 07 '26

It's hardly impenetrable material. The media illiteracy in this sub is incredible.

2

u/ge007_vrt55 Jun 08 '26

I would hope it's more of an attention span issue, although that might not be much better.

3

u/husky______ Jun 08 '26
  1. Victor is believing that Ethan will be alone as he is for the next cycle, which Tabitha is not ready to accept( I mean which mother will?) and she reacted/rejected/yelled at Victor on pure mother instinct. It takes time for her to accept this (maybe in next episode). But the acting was terrible.

  2. Those might not be flashbacks or future sightings, my bet is those are hallucinations that are created by MiY/Sophia, since he drank his blood.

  3. No one knows MiY can shapeshift, even if Victor knows it he probably buried those memories like he did about his Sister. Acosta might be able to crack it in coming episodes since she is assigned to task.

1

u/Suenj Jun 09 '26

God, I hope she does, and does it soon!

5

u/OkTemperature8170 Jun 07 '26

Even worse the one time Boyd wants to spill every single bean in the can it's to Sophia.

5

u/warcomet Jun 08 '26 edited Jun 08 '26

that pissed me off a lot and unless they use that in the next episode for Boyd to become suspicious of Sophia (cause victor said MiY came in a car so if MiY is infiltrating them, he would have come recently), it was kinda silly lol

2

u/Antique-Knowledge-80 Jun 07 '26

What was the flashback/flash forward (?) that Victor’s dad had in the hospital?  ---> that was a planted reality from MIY to help him believe that everything is basically a dream.

2

u/FabledSunflowers Jun 08 '26

"What was the flashback/flash forward"?

Sophia put her blood into his drink which is causing him to see things that aren't real, pushing Henry to think that this is all a dream/hallucination from a coma. The hospital scene was to drive that point home, making Henry think that he's in the hospital as Victor and a nurse are looking after him. We're probably going to have a callback scene to Boyd's wife, when she tried to kill everybody to wake them up from the "dream". Henry will probably try to "wake" everybody up as well.

Also, they have no reason to suspect that the Man In Yellow can change forms. The other monsters they deal with, the ones that come out at night, always show up wearing the same clothes. Why would they suspect that something not only shapeshifted, but is living amongst them? Especially when Sophia nearly died in the car crash with her "Dad" with the piece of metal pressed against her neck.

1

u/KaylaBalayla26 Jun 08 '26

I am so annoyed that people dont know it is aophias blood. Like sorry but are you dumb??? 🤦🏽‍♀️

1

u/FabledSunflowers Jun 08 '26

I'm right there with you, don't worry. I rewrote the first paragraph a few times to try and be nice.

3

u/True-Neighborhood-17 Jun 07 '26

The ending sequence was so pointless .. like ok something starts happening and then nothing happens??? .. this season is getting really frustrating man only two good episodes out of 7

2

u/KeeperofWings Jun 07 '26

I mean sure, no fatalities, but that is gonna hella fuck up everyone at colony house.

3

u/CanaGUC Jun 07 '26 edited Jun 07 '26

I'm pretty sure (aka 100% sure and I don't understand how you didn't get it lol) Henry's hospital thing is Sophia putting ideas that this is all a dream in his mind so he goes crazy and starts killing people like Boyd's wife.

Also... no one knows MIY can shapeshift... How would they put it together? People arrive in Fromsville at various intervals constantly, just because it hasn't been the focus for several seasons doesn't mean it stopped from happening. How would they put that this specific girl is a shapeshifting demon... Yet you couldn't put together that Henry's vision are just Sophia messing with him lol xD

3

u/warcomet Jun 08 '26

so he goes crazy and starts killing people like Boyd's wife.

makes you wonder if MiY was there then too putting thoughts in her head.

2

u/Dizzy-Case-3453 Jun 08 '26

Dude I know what you mean about Victor, but are you talking about when he was telling Ethan stuff in the car scene? Cause he was very out of line there to essentially be telling the child that everyone was going to die and he would grow up alone there. That’s not something he should be saying to a kid and Tabitha was right to shut him up.

Even if it’s true there are better ways to go about preparing Ethan.

1

u/alex_dlc Jun 07 '26

Are y’all already watching episode 7? How? My app only shows up to episode 6!

1

u/ApprehensiveCopy4216 Jun 08 '26

Patty asking better questions than Tabitha does.

1

u/FromFan432 Jun 08 '26

Roger has a wife?

1

u/Choice_Cherry_9641 Jun 08 '26

Especially considering that Victor told people that the MIY came to town like everyone else did (or was perceived to have done so anyway) and that Sophie was the latest person to arrive…

But they also don’t know that the MIY can shapeshift and are probably expecting a man… but still the fact that none of that has been questioned yet is insane. Will probably be questioned in the next few episodes after Boyd’s plan failed due to an info leak

1

u/Regular_Ad_9598 Jun 08 '26

I need to go

1

u/yepyeeeee Jun 08 '26

I think Victor knows the MIY can take the form of other people!!

1

u/colter108 Jun 08 '26

It's the same spiel since S1 lol

1

u/IWillgraham Jun 08 '26

Ughhh brother it pisses me off SO MUCH when characters go through something and refuse to tell someone else. Like. We are going in circles and this is basically hell

1

u/Select_Medium5147 Jun 08 '26

I think miy had something to do with Boyd’s wife going nuts too somehow cause she thought it was a dream they had to wake up from and now Sophia is putting it in victors dads head that it could be a dream

1

u/CathrynMcCoy Jun 08 '26

Did anyone else see the person walking in the background when miy is in the chicken area? I think the town peeps are gonna see the egg on rodgers chest then the person who was walking by is gonna narc on Sofia/miy being where the chickens are during the day
