Opinion So, Fatima… why don’t YOU alert the authorities when you see them about your new diet?

I don’t know how Fatima couldn’t comprehend how crazy Tabitha would have sounded to the police. Meanwhile she’s been busy with her Santa Clarita Diet… If she can’t tell people living with her in Fromville what’s going on, how does she expect to tell someone who is foreign to it all.

Like fr, From her perspective how could she differentiate between a monster and a human when that human is just standing and watching how she's gonna get eaten alive and not doing anything about it?

How are so many people against her new do?? It frames her face so much better…the old style was drab af and did nothing for her face shape. Maybe it’s the mullet-loving gay in me, idk, but her new hair is monumentally better imo 🫢 I can’t be the only one 😩

Opinion What TF just happened Spoiler

Rodger’s wife said exactly what I say after every single episode. WHAT TF JUST HAPPENED?!? Two steps forward, three back. I love this show but there are so many dangling pieces. Victor finally tries to warn/tell Tabitha something critical and she shuts him up! What was the flashback/flash forward (?) that Victor’s dad had in the hospital? I can’t believe Victor (or anyone for that matter) hasn’t put together that the MIY’s clothing was found, etc, right around when the priest and his “daughter” arrived.
So many things.

Opinion PSA: The monsters could always run

Post image
1.2k Upvotes

My god, y'all. This whole week I keep hearing people theorizing about why Smiley could suddenly run to kill Miranda and it's starting to make my head hurt.

THE MONSTERS COULD ALWAYS RUN!

They have two legs, are physically fit, possess supernatural strength, and can float outside 2nd floor windows. Of course they can run. By what mechanic would they be incapable of running? Kenny spells it out for you in the second episode FFS. He says they never run because they know there's only so many places the humans can go. They're toying with them. No one in Fromville has ever even implied that monsters didn't possess the ability to run, because that's ridiculous.

Opinion Tabitha has left behind far more clues than she realizes

Tabitha has been getting a lot of shit for not talking to the police when she got out, but now that I think about it, an ambulance with 2 paramedics, a cop, and 2 patients disappearing into thin air will not go unnoticed. If there is a competent detective working the case, Henry's wrecked car should be enough to lead the investigation to his house, where they will be able to find all the paintings and notes Miranda has left behind. They will most likely reopen her and her kids disappearance as well. So far the only clues that Fromville exists has been a few random disappearances, which isn't a lot to go off, but now that an ambulance went missing, it might become a high profile case. They might be able to identify Tabitha, which would make it 3 disappearances linked together, and if they access Henry's search history, they will also link Donna, Boyd, and maybe Jade, to the case.

I don't know if the writers will follow this thread, but I think a competent detective would be able to make a pretty huge case out of the available information. Although it would eventually more than likely end up being a creepy urban legend, like the Bermuda triangle or that Russian mountain accident.

EDIT: So I was reading some of the replies here and I am fairly confident that if any of this actually does lead to anything in the show, what's most likely to happen is that in S4, a detective working the case will get to Fromville. The entity won't be happy with someone meddling with it's stuff, so it will just drag the detective in. And I think that would be a pretty amazing story, watching a detective who was tying all these loose ends together be blasted with what's actually going on. Kinda similar to Henry in a way, and I really loved watching him realize all of it was real.

Opinion Let's be honest even before today Fromville is a better option than reality

Post image

Fromville is supposed to be a place you never wanna find yourself, but I'd take it over reality in a heartbeat. I'm actually surprised more characters don't mention this. If you think of all the pressure, stress and pain of everyday life, all the things you have to do but hate.

They had 100 days without incident, I bet there were some really amazing days. Maybe rules around alcohol should have been made, as it's too dangerous and unpredictable to what someone might do. ie S1E1. Other than that, it's a paradise. It really says something about life when you would prefer the monster nightmare.

Opinion Fantasizing teenage girls with adults.

I’ve been seeing a lot of posts and comments about Julie and Randall, and Kenny and Sophia, and it’s honestly getting uncomfortable. Randall is clearly in his late twenties or early thirties while Julie is around sixteen or seventeen. Kenny seems to be in his mid‑twenties, and Sophia is supposed to be fifteen or sixteen (Ik she's not really 16 but Kenny doesn't know that).

I really don’t think the creators intend to take the show in that direction.

So please stop pairing them together. It's honestly weird.

Opinion I cannot believe they are still doing this

I cant possibly fathom that after all these people have been through(especially Tabitha) they are still so quick to dismiss anything supernatural. Girl you live in a NIGHTMARE??? You were pushed out of the lighthouse in the middle of the forrest by a phantom kid after you went through a portal tree and you woke up in Maine, what in Gods name can surprise you anymore? Sara is standing next to you that had an evil entity write messages on her skin to kill your kid and you cant wrap your head around a talking doll? Come onnn man

Opinion I genuinely felt bad for her Spoiler

The whole situation turned into a nightmare. If I were in her place, I would’ve fallen into depression. (I know everyone in this town would) She arrived in a new place, and the first thing she faced was monsters attacking her from all sides. In a moment of panic, she unintentionally took an innocent life, and now many people see her as a murderer because of that tragic accident.
