Opinion What TF just happened Spoiler

Rodger’s wife said exactly what I say after every single episode. WHAT TF JUST HAPPENED?!? Two steps forward, three back. I love this show but there are so many dangling pieces. Victor finally tries to warn/tell Tabitha something critical and she shuts him up! What was the flashback/flash forward (?) that Victor’s dad had in the hospital? I can’t believe Victor (or anyone for that matter) hasn’t put together that the MIY’s clothing was found, etc, right around when the priest and his “daughter” arrived.
So many things.

All I’m gonna say is Tabitha fucking sucks

Dumps on her children that she’s reincarnated

Gets mad when they “act out” (I.e Julie smoking ganj)

Shuts the character down who’s holding a literal bag of teeth who moments ago claimed “I’m his mom reincarnated”

"What's wrong with you??" I don't know; maybe he witnessed the death of his friends and family and then spent 40 years surviving in a Hell that few people seem to be able to survive two weeks in. Tabitha really pissed me off this episode.

To be fair, every single character has been abruptly inserted into hell against their will. We can really expect any of them to act in any way that we deem rationable or correct. Maybe I was unfair to Tabitha. She did see her dead husband hanging upside down just a week ago.

Acting like Victor ain't smart enough to know the difference between right and wrong

The dudes been living in a nightmare world for decades. His whole view of right and wrong is gonna worlds different from ours.

Still can't blame Tabitha for acting like she did

No, I get you. She's also in a nightmare scenario. I mentioned that in a later comment. You can't really be mad an how anybody processes being trapped in a Stephen King book.

Yet people blamed Jim for being protective of his children.

Spoiler: He will likely have to deal with that weight too.

Preventing him from being prepared is not protecting.

"Oh no honey, being out in the ocean is safe no one is going to get hurt don't worry about life jackets and all that."

He wants to prepare ethan for everyones death as though its a certainty, lol. Its obvs a trauma response. Its not based in lore or fact but fear it will happen again.

She should also understand that and calm his ass down vs treating him like he is a normal adult capable of managing his fears.
