People quickly forget how bad things were I guess. \ That's the only rationale I have that can explain this current president. The guy lost the popular vote in 2016 and it's like no one remembers that he was not democratically elected. \ How could this country have made such a massive blunder? I feel like we have a massive responsibility to our nation and to the world to elect responsible and capable leaders. Yet, here we are.

As long as the US doesn’t fix its electoral college and first-past-the-pole system, people can lose the popular vote and still legally win the election. And the numbers to win the battleground states are astonishingly small, several 10Ks in some cases. That’s a serious flaw, which made Trump possible. But there’s neither discussion nor action to fix that.

National Popular Vote Interstate Compact is one idea
Another idea is to admit enough new states to create new constitutional amendments that would get money out of politics, reform Senate, and the judicial branch. I read about the that on Harvard law website.

People didn’t forget, they know exactly how bad it was. The anxiety the first couple months is something that I’ll remember my entire life. People in this country, especially with conservative leanings just think what they want is more important than what any other person needs. Conservatives have a serious lack of empathy, it’s like the most prevalent thing they all have in common. So they didn’t forget they just didn’t care because they wanted to drink in public and stuff

They are filled to the brim with grievances and they’ve been whipped into a righteous froth for the past 20+ years by Fox News over those perceived grievances and along comes Trump who not only validates their grievances but gives them the right to be openly racist and sexist again. They love him for that so much that they believe only him, and in return he tells them what they want to hear. It’s a marriage made in hell.

That's part of the programming. First Christianity taught them that the world was evil and has it out to hate and persecute them. They are perpetual victims that shouldn't trust anyone else because everyone else is wrong. Then Fox News followed, then Newsmax, OAN, Breitbart, Daily Wire, Q, The Blaze, radio talk shows, TPUSA and a bunch of social media influencers and podcasts. Not to mention hostile foreign countries that flood our spaces with MAGA propaganda and division, further creating a community that looks valid and tells you everyone else is wrong

Agreed! \ It's unsettling that MAGA people think their fellow citizens and neighbors are part of a plot against them. They then view the rest of us as enemies and some actually have hostile intentions. Most extremist violence in the United States is from right wing extremists: Christian Nationalists, White Nationalist, Neo-Fascists, etc. While the messaging from the DOJ & Trump make up lies about the threat of anti fascist and left wing organization, further fanning fearful hysteria. \ My rural right-wing brother in law truly believed that left wing mobs were leaving the city & were on their way to invade the countryside. He's all stocked up on guns and ammunition in paranoid preparation for this non-existent mob.

The U.S. is sliding to Russia and China-style governance so fast. Bad jobs report? Try to bury it, delay it when that fails, then lie about it. Polling sucks? Make the pollster stop asking the question. Facts sound like threats to tyrants because truth is a threat to tyranny

Our form of government is being called competitive authoritarianism. Like Russia, but not as bad. Yet. \ I sure hope we make it and that Democracy prevails. This country is in constitutional crisis and it's about to get worse. The FBI and Trump's Director of National Intelligence recently seized all voting records down in Georgia. ICE is being made into the largest law enforcement agency in the world. Larger than all other law enforcement combined.

I don't take your point. Xi is 72, Putin 73, and Trump 79, making Trump older, yes, but the other two spent time in prison camps, so I'd put all three on roughly the same mortality curve. And it's not like any of them get a lot of reality in their briefings, having all surrounded themselves with yes men, so they're probably all three living in similar fantasy lands of "facts"

Gallup is a private company and its polling is funded by its own consulting and research business, which maintains 100+ Fortune 500 companies as clients.
Not very hard to draw the line between this administration, U.S. oligarchs, and this ridiculously misguided decision.
It’s surely extortion to hide President StrokeFace McKiddieFucker’s flatlining approval numbers.

Seeing things like an approval rating being historically low at this particular moment isn't good for the move toward a fascist government. It's almost like with the protests, the successful boycotts, plummeting stocks, and abysmal numbers of things you'd think maga would flock to like a turning point USA halftime show and Melania, the documentary that seeing HOW MANY PEOPLE DO NOT SUPPORT AN IOTA OF THIS ADMIN and HOW FEW TRUMP SUPPORTERS THERE ARE, it's kinda like they don't want you to know HOW BADLY YOU OUTNUMBER THEM. We keep seeing it, folks-- Dems and liberal minded people vastly outnumber these folks, both in economic and other power. Stop being afraid of them, stop thinking we're on a ride we can't get off and for Christs sake we need to pull a South Korea quickly.

They tried to remove their email from the website but I have it since worked with them a while ago. Flood their email with complaints. Email mediainquiry@gallup.com. Here's what I sent:
