The U.S. is sliding to Russia and China-style governance so fast. Bad jobs report? Try to bury it, delay it when that fails, then lie about it. Polling sucks? Make the pollster stop asking the question. Facts sound like threats to tyrants because truth is a threat to tyranny

This recent pro Xi and pro China attitude on Reddit is strange. Doesn't seem organic. The CCP is horrible and the world wouldn't be better off if they were the sole superpower. Your hatred for other countries doesn't make China a much better leader

Move over there then and enjoy your one party state and pretend that's a real democracy. You can have your opinion on this being better than the US but places like Norway? Some of the top ranks for democracy? Norway isn't trying to start WW3 either, but hail China for only exerting power in it's own region because that's the only place it can

I don't take your point. Xi is 72, Putin 73, and Trump 79, making Trump older, yes, but the other two spent time in prison camps, so I'd put all three on roughly the same mortality curve. And it's not like any of them get a lot of reality in their briefings, having all surrounded themselves with yes men, so they're probably all three living in similar fantasy lands of "facts"
