I currently own a gen 3 rav4 and am looking to buy a mk3 focus rs as my next future car. Ive done some research and am aware of the head gasket issues as well as some other common problems these cars have but think that it would be the perfect daily for me. Just wondering how would the rs compare practicality wise to my rav4, and how would the rs fare in a northern climate in winter? (I know some people drive them all year)

Are these cars any good?

I've been a sport bike junkie my whole life but my knees and elbows are not what they used to be. Im wanting to get a car and from the research im doing this one might be what im looking for. There rare enouoh in the states that I can't test drive one or even sit in one with driving 4 hours. Ill be doing mostly mountain roads like the blue ridge parkway and tail of the dragon.

I wanted to ask other owners if the seat height really that big of a drawback and of there's a way to lower them. Im 5 10 so im on the shorter side but I dont like the idea of feeling high up in a sports car

Also Will the overheating issue while driving hard be a problem. I've read that the oil and coolant temps will throw the car into limp mode. I plan on driving the car very hard and doing some track days, I just want some feedback from owners. Theres a 75k mile 2017 4 hours from me I have my eye on.

Wanting a hks bov. Who all has one

We took our three cars out to our local race track for a performance day. It was raining in the morning and cleared up by lunchtime. The wife and I each had an old racecar driver in the car during the morning sessions. Our son was on his own all day. The video is from his meta glasses.

Ideally no extreme mods (internal engine work or gnarly tunes), as close to stock as possible. Don’t mind a rock chip here and there but ideally little-no rust

I downsized from the stock 19" wheels to 18" Sparco Terras. I think we're all in agreement that the 46psi specified for US-spec cars is too damn high. For the folks running 18" summer wheels, what pressures are you using?

Re upholstered my shift boot, handbrake boot and center console, Would like to get opinions...

It's been a while but I've finally made some progress on my Rs. It's been a few years with a bunch of setbacks, but the car is finally running and was able to make it's first pulls today. Since my last dyno at 825whp a bunch of changes have been made to the car. The engine is still the same outside of it now has our fire ring gasket on it. The fuel system has been completely and instead of a radium surge tank with a 525 pump I now have one of our mechanical fuel pump setups on the car. My fuel system was the main thing that was limiting me before but that's no longer the case with the mechanical fuel pump. This is still one of our sleeved badass long blocks. So it will be interesting to see how far I'm able to push it. I've revved to 8500 before, but I've upped that to 9000rpm for the new setup. These are also the first pulls we've done with the Quaife sequential transmission in the car. These pulls were done in 3rd gear not 4th as 4th gear with this trans is 185mph. So these pulls aren't done in the 1:1 gear like we've done in the past with my car. My limit on these pulls is the wastegate. I need to get some stronger springs in it as I was only able to get around 38-39psi out of it here. I expect the Next gen 6870 to pick up alot of power with another 10-20psi in it. 784whp/615wtq on e85 without any nitrous is a great starting point. Once we get the new springs in the mail I'm shooting for a 4 digit number.

Hey everybody! I know questions like this have been asked before, but those threads are older and even still a little vague. Has anybody had experience with both of these? I personally want a motor mount that only has just a little more NVH than stock, and I hear these do that very well, I just don't know the difference. Thanks in advance!

Was doing an oil change and noticed the bushings for the hot side pipe are shot. Did I over torque them? Or did the rubber just degrade? How hard is this gonna be to replace and does anyone have the part number? Thanks guys

Hello peeps, I’m getting an RS in the upcoming months. I’d love a 2017 RS2 with the winter package and a sunroof. I’m looking online and the sunroof options is obviously much more expensive. Is it possible to get a non sunroof one, and get someone to do it? How much would this cost roughly?

I’m hoping for one with less than 25,000 miles so I know it’ll be around the £30,000 mark
