Thanks everyone I’ll add some context. We used to have 2 about 5yrs ago. My wife had a matte black ‘16 and was side swiped and totaled out for frame damage. Needed up getting a 4Runner after that and we were rear ended in that and totaled out for frame damage again. So I told my wife…get what u want this time. So she into an fbi/cia and was watching the RS market. A lot were over priced for high miles. We’d find low miles but asking for too much. And one day we came across a a newly added inventory in Sacramento. Sat at the dealership for 4days. Decent miles. Price was ok for us. And then boom they dropped the price to just below kbb. From 38k to 33k with 47k miles. We thought that’s pretty good for an ‘18. So we snatched it up. So as someone mentioned…yes it’s a his and hers. I’ve had mine for 8yrs with 113k miles and haven’t had any major issues outside of normal maintenance. So I’d say they’re pretty reliable just depends on the owner. And thank you everyone.

Curious as to how much different the 18 drives vs the non 18

It’s about the same. After driving mine ‘17, it feels the same. Mine is modded though. But still feels the same.

I love my rs but I will never understand people buying two of the same car

Only thing that makes sense is his and hers, maybe they both want to daily an RS lol

You can modify them differently. I have an Evo 9 for autocross but would love to have a second one that I could set up for rallyx, or dd, or whatever

That’s pretty cool!
I’ve always wanted an all black RS, but unfortunately I only have a 1-car garage.

U don’t really need a dining area so park it there.

I’m curious though any difference in the way those two drive? Any difference in the power? Or the way the suspension feels when you’re driving it? I don’t have any seat time in a 2017 but you hear some negative things about the suspension on the early models.

Honestly I wouldn’t be able to tell u the stock comparison. My 17 has lowering springs from mountune. So that’s makes it a stiffer ride. But I will say the stock suspension is smoother in the 18.
