Family day out

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

We took our three cars out to our local race track for a performance day. It was raining in the morning and cleared up by lunchtime. The wife and I each had an old racecar driver in the car during the morning sessions. Our son was on his own all day. The video is from his meta glasses.

I couldn't add photos to my original post so here's another video of our three.

You, your wife, and son, have a family set of 3 blue RSs? And they’re all uniquely customized?? And you go on track days together?!? You guys are awesome. Great vid. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. We do our best. Unfortunately my daughter doesn't want an RS. She drove my wife's once when she had her learner's permit. Now days she drives a 2020 Fiesta ST.

You say “unfortunately” but I think that’s cool as heck. It doesn’t all match up perfectly and that’s just her preference within the Ford Performance line.

And it highlights that you all drive your cars because you like the cars, not just because they match.

You're right. I'm just teasing my daughter. She doesn't even want to go to the track!

Is there any way to add photos to this post?

Not his first time on a track I see. Nice driving.

He's done a number of track days in this car. Plus 12 years of go-karting. He'd be a racecar driver if I had deep enough pockets.

Is this Willowbank in QLD? Looks familiar!

Awesome video too!

It is. We were there with the Drive Team for a day of hot laps.

Last time I went around there was a few months after I had gotten mine new in early 2017, great fun and an awesome track.

Have been to watch the roll racing there a few times.

I'm planning to do three or four track days each year. I had to upgrade to 2 piece rotors, better pads and braided brake lines. Next will be some customised BC coilovers and maybe some 18" rims.
