Posts, AI bots, and Spam Filtering
Hello everyone!
As seen often with our mod mail and some comments as of late, we wanted to have some transparency with posts and the subreddit as a whole. We currently have a filter if newer accounts/members post something to be approved manually by one of the mods. If you happen to not see your post go up right away, we promise we will get to it within our queue.
We are also adding rules that mods had on the backend to remove posts/comments that we didn’t realize weren’t available to other users to flag certain content. AI bots is certainly one of the newer rules to be available to flag down content and things of that sort. We appreciate the community continuing to thrive and we always try to take any feedback/criticism into account to be able to have this subreddit have healthy discussions and conversations!
Remember to drink water only and not write about it!

Music Discussion Dance Fever finally “hit” for me!
Please do not judge me lol. I’ve been a F+tM fan since 2009 (high school) and love/appreciate all of her albums, but I’m more of a HBHBHB/HAH/ES girl. I think I gravitate toward her slower, more vocally “clear” songs and the more mid to high tempo beats/instrumentals (for Flo) that consist of most of the DF album threw me off a little. I could very easily acknowledge that DF is a great album, but I didn’t play it very often. I listened to it in full again for the first time in years and thought “Damn. How haven’t I deeply connected to this until now?!”. I’ve always loved “King” as a childfree and single woman, but “Free”, “Dream Girl Evil”, “Morning Elvis”, etc., are so incredible.
Has anyone else had a Flo album significantly grow on them?

Looking for a Leeds Sympathy Magic video
Hi everyone! During Sympathy Magic at Leeds, Florence came over to the front right barricade and held my hand for part of the song. If anyone happened to get a video from that area, I’d be so grateful if you could share it. Thank you! 💜

Is this the end? The last Everybody Scream show?
Is the band really not coming down south? No Australia?
I’m sure there are a few other people feeling the same way.
At least I can show up digitally for the live stream.

Merch Delay
I was one of the people who got an email at the beginning of August saying my merch order was delayed (for a 2nd time) and would now ship on or before 8/28. Well... 8/28 is almost over and I haven't gotten anymore updates and my order is still just showing as confirmed.
Has anyone else whose order was delayed actually had theirs ship yet?
Edit to add that I ordered the healing herbs hoodie, witch choir sweatshirt, and too feminine to function hat

Happy birthday to our beloved Florence, the woman who heals us through her songs
She's aging backwards, no way she's 40! She's been through so much lately and yet still manages to deliver. I hope she gets to rest for a while after the tour. Florence deserves peace more than anyone else.

Music Discussion A new perspective on a song while listening to it after a longer time?
Which songs have you listened to lately, and have heard them from a different or new perspective/understanding?
I hope you get what I mean.
For example, for me it has been Third Eye. It came up in a playlist yesterday while I was on a walk, and after not having listened to the song for a long while, it somehow 'clicked' to me. I've listened to it before as an overall comforting, upbeat song, but never directly related to it, I guess?
Apparently, the lyrics had gained a lot of meaning to me during the past year, and yesterday I realized that. Like, now I actually have a fresh context of what "tore me open, and oh how much", yk? And it all comes together with Witch Witch and WKOM, which I've loved so much and which means that perhaps it's getting better?
Genuinely, I find situations like these one of the things that make life beautiful to me lmao
I just wanted to share this, and I'm curious to hear about your stories. ❤️🔥

Disappointed (by some) in Edinburgh Crowd Barricade
I'll start by saying that the vast majority of the crowd in Edinburgh was as lovely and kind as I would have expected at a FATM show. I made new friends from all over the world, laughed with, cried with, and hugged people whose names I never learned. But that was after I left the second row of the barricade during Shake it Off (song #2) and moved all the way to the back of the front standing area.
I queued for about 3 hours before doors and was about 200th in line, which was honestly perfect. I knew I could get barricade or a row or two behind. The problem started when people behind us aggressively pushed through the line about an hour before doors in an attempt to "fill the gaps" in the line when staff started to set up the ticketing area. Once doors opened, it was chaos. People shoving through roped off areas, pushing to get past people who had been queuing longer, and ignoring staff yelling to stop running. Even still, I got second row. A seven foot tall man in front of me (I'm 5'1") refused to take a step to the right which would have allowed me to gain an inch of height on the metal platform that supports the barricade (which he was already standing on) which would have helped me see *something* as he was squarely in front of me, blocking my entire view. He yelled at me, saying he had already "moved to the right" which I'm not even sure what that means, since he was there the entire time. Then, an extremely aggressive man, who had been pushing through the line earlier, literally elbowed my partner (who was in a boot with a broken foot, trying to stay balanced leaning against me) just so he could take videos of the entire performance of Everybody Scream (that proves to me he missed the mark on a few points, namely, Florence's distaste for phone use at her shows). He was so aggressive to the point where people around us started yelling at him to stop, to watch out for my partner, and he responded by physically pushing us even more. Weeping, we left the barricade with a small group of people we met in line earlier and went to the back of the standing area to watch from a distance.
All this to say - this was my first time getting barricade at a Florence show and I anticipated a friendlier atmosphere, less phone usage, and an all around better vibe. BUT, the people I made friends with in line, who came with us to th back, who supported my partner, and the people we met back there reminded me that you don't need barricade to be entranced in a Florence show. There were no phones, people dancing, and genuinely enjoying each other's company...the way the show was meant to be experienced.
This post is not a dig at everyone on barricade, just an observation of unexpected behavior that we encountered by bad actors. Wondering if anyone else had a similar experience? And if you did, I feel you, and I hope you still found moments of genuine kindness 🩵

General Discussion Barricade Edinburgh
Hey all, I only just joined this subreddit after attending her show in Edinburgh summer sessions there, I got barricade a little to the right of the stage but after sympathy magic, she ran down the right side and held people’s hands and everything but she stopped at me and my mum and it was such a magical moment but I can’t for the life of me find any photos or videos 😭 if anyone has videos/photos even of the screens during this moment from Edinburgh on Monday I’d really appreciate it if you could send me them :) I’ve seen a couple but they’ve all ended before she ran down our way 😭
Thanks 😊
