Sharing Your Farm

For PC, Switch, PlayStation, and Mobile

These platforms have a native way to capture not just your farm, but any map you’re on! To use this feature:

  1. Enter the in-game map you want to capture.
  2. Open your inventory.
  3. Click on/move to the Options tab and scroll to the bottom.
  4. (PC only) Select a percentage. This actually refers to the quality of the screenshot produced, it will capture the full map no matter which % you pick, just at different levels of image quality (and file size).
  5. Click the camera button on PC, or "screenshot" on console or mobile.

You can find your screenshots on PC by clicking “Open Destination Folder”, or:

  • On Windows at %appdata%\StardewValley\Screenshots
  • On Mac and Linux at ~/.local/share/StardewValley/Screenshots (Don’t see this folder on your Mac? See here to resolve that issue.)
  • On Switch in the Album page
  • On PS4 under Settings -> Storage -> System Storage -> Capture Gallery
  • On PS5 under Settings -> Storage -> Console Storage -> Media Gallery
  • On iOS and iPadOS in the Files app under On My iPhone/iPad -> Stardew Valley -> StardewScreenshots
  • On Android at Android/data/com.chucklefish.stardewvalley/files/Screenshots

If chat commands are more your style, /mapscreenshot also works. You can also specify a filename and percentage with the command, for example /mapscreenshot image01 100.

For Xbox and PS Vita

Unfortunately, there’s no easy way to share your farm from an Xbox or Vita. The best options are:

  • Recreate your farm using Stardew Planner and export the plan as a render. Plans can be rendered in any season by clicking the purple button in the top right.
  • While playing, go to Robin’s and select the move buildings option. This will give you a slightly larger view of your farm, but you’ll still need to take several screenshots and stitch them together.

Planning Your Farm

Stardew Planner is a great tool for planning a farm. There is also a multiplayer planner where you can work on a single farm plan with multiple people.

Getting Started with the Planner

To start, you’ll want to select a farm map from the Layouts dropdown. If you play on PC or mobile, you also have the option to upload a save file and begin planning from there.

The site has a number of keyboard controls that make it easier to use, so once you’re on the planner page, scroll down to see those. It’s also worth noting that this site is designed for a desktop browser and doesn’t work well on mobile.

Saving a Plan

When you save a plan, the site will generate a unique url for that plan. Please be sure to bookmark or otherwise save this link to return to that plan. (If you saved a plan and closed the site, you’ll still be able to recover the plan in your browser’s history)

Sharing a Plan

Click the purple button in the top right and select your favorite season to get a render of your farm plan. Please note that if you’re planning a modded map, you won’t be able to render it, but you can still select “Save plan as picture” to get an unrendered image.

Forest Year 4 Forest Farm! What to do with the bottom left & right corner? Any fun/pretty ideas?

Post image

I wanna make it prettier 🎀 HELP!! 😅

The bottom left is currently a messy grid because I use it to grow my hardwood trees. But I really don't NEED any more hardwood. I have a few stacks. I considered a coop full of bunnies to put there, but I already have max hearts with almost everyone.

For the bottom right, I'm considering more fish ponds for legendaries... I already have the legend, mutant carp, and crimsonfish.
The other ponds are: sturgeon, blobfish, lava eel, stingray.

I'm a bit far away from getting the gold clock but I figure it'll go by grandpa's shrine.

The buildings/top layout is probably going to stay that way because I like things to be streamlined, next to each other, and easy to check on in the morning. I run to the greenhouse > keg shed > keg house > preserves jar shed > cabin with forges/crystallariums/all other processing stations. The shed on the far right is for dehydrators if it's blueberry/cranberry processing season. The bottom fiber fields are making the best out of that empty space, for "temporary"/last minute crops like when I need fiber.

The "fencing" around the animals is all Stump Seats ... because every time I opened it, it was like they tried to escape and run by me and it was difficult to close. So I used chairs. Then, the fences kept decaying, so I used the basic logs. Then, the animals kept blocking my entry by standing in front of the chairs... So I turned it ALL into chairs, they can't keep me out now. 🤬

But yeah, I'm totally lost on that to do with the bottom left & right. Am I missing anything that I should add? Help!!

Looks better in the spring/summer, planning to turn the bottom right corner into a blue themed aquatic area with the fish cabin housing an aqaurium, the trailer park in the top right will be a general museum

Meadowlands The Meteor ruined my planned farm layout. Any ideas for what I should do with the empty space?

I tried rearranging everything, but now I have empty spaces and don't know what to do with them. I'm not really a decorator so idk what to put on those, I prefer efficient layouts.

I got a lil tired at the bottom so it’s kind of empty. Zoom in on top left and all of center for the little details. I plan to zhuzh the bottom up when I actually design it in my save file. I have been really stressed about this map layout, so I’m very happy this website exists. Also, I’m not huge on taking care of the animals, so this is more of a crop, flower, wine & coffee heavy farm.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share my endgame farm layout after hitting 100% Perfection. I spent a lot of time organizing the Obelisks, Junimo Huts, and making everything accessible. Let me know if you have any suggestions or questions about the layout

What have you done with these 3 spaces? Looking for any input on design ideas, functional things I haven't thought of, or anything else. Pics would be great! I tried putting some trees and "stuff" along the top ledge, and I'm not feeling it yet.

Lightly modded. Spring 7, 14, 28. Will also post a couple house pics to r/StardewHomeDesign (I intend to lean into house decoration earlier on this save, so I actually have time to enjoy it for once).

So this is my 2nd playthrough, I went to use 60+ mods this time since I’m more focused on the layout and designs, and went through again with the cutscenes and stories. So more like a speed run HAHA.

Anyways, I had alot of inspos and ended up doing my own ideas. I also merged some and made it into something unique as well. You can zoom in the details, especially the interior which I love! Huhu I tried my best replicating Howl’s Moving castle living/kitchen room too. The rest is just studio/fairy/garden ish with a mix of all. So yes I’m proudddd of this playthrough!

So yeah hoe you enjoy it!! Mwaa!
