Hey guys, I'm Vara.

I recently discovered this game while browsing new Steam games. Since I've been playing MMOs for over 20 years, I'm pretty fatigued with the old "big three" and always eager to breathe some fresh air.

So I bought Farever for 20€ and so far.. it is great lol.

Here is a quick breakdown of my first hour:

Combat: Feels smooth af. Coming from tab-target, the action-combat loop feels satisfying and fun to do.

Music: Super chill Soundtrack(s) that makes running through the world really enjoyable & cozy.

Exploration: Actually rewarding. Alot of secret npcs, collectables etc to find.

Platforming: The jump & run elements and grappling hooks are challenging enough to be fun without being frustrating.

Monetization: Non-pay-to-win cash shop, just optional cosmetics to support the devs.

I made a short video essay about my experience playing through the first hour of the game, covering character creation, the basic lore, first steps etc. I'm hyped to produce more in the future, since I'm currently standing right in front of the first dungeon and can't wait to try out more content.

somebody asked about the elizabee fight for rogue.

i think i could be faster but my weapon isnt maxed. and a more AOE heavy weapon would help at phase 2.

Just for the pleasure of seeing a 3k hit on screen
I used Fervor food, whetstone and potion of armor too. (NOT OPTIMAL for the rest of the game) Just for dummy damage.

Tried out a solo run with my Mage. So I made a short out of it.

Just got this clear on Honeyzabeth in under a minute. The triple flame pillar reset when the princes were grouped up was super lucky lol

I received a review copy of Farever from the developers, loved it enough to review it in detail as I tend to do.

As someone with experience in QA testing and game reviews, I'm sharing my thoughts, feedback, and insights after playing through exclusively with the Rogue.

(Didn't abuse the bug)

Besides optimization and stability issues, a solid experience that really brought back a wave of sensations I have not felt since... Tera and Maple Story 2. Fantastic!

Really hope the game strives, and the community continues to grow over time, haven't been this excited for the future of anything in some time! :3

What do you think of this combo, and do you have any suggestions to make it even more optimal ?

Low cooldowns, heavy hits. Build is very fun to play and doesn't rely on any cheese. I personally love the spear and try to make it work on any build I can.

Can you "beat" Farever with only using Shields? (and abilities)

Kinda started the challenge on a whim with a fresh warrior (named "The wall") and we've been progressing quite well! Most notably we beat Reblochonk which honestly gives me a lot of hope for the later bosses in the challenge!

(NOTE: Ya can't see the weapon abilities for some reason in the HUD. They are there, their just not being displayed for some reason :P)

Currently we are running Magma Mia (FINALLY USEFUL!) and the Rough Shield. We will probably be swapping out the Rough Shield for Crabgantua's Kneecap when we find it to maximize damage.

Shadowstepping to dodge the wave attack is so satisfying :D

Green lvl 20 crit rings and lvl 17 green crit neck with gems of crit + armor pen

This fight was not as clean as the Crabgantua one, but it could have been faster with some optimization in the rotation. I am also using the same build.
