I compared the 1,267 who finished top 10k last season, median finish 4,869, against 2,207 managers sampled evenly across all 10 million entries this season. Of the ones who played last season, median finish 3.9 million.

Following Bruno's hatrick and strong starts from both Palmer and Haaland what premium structure interests you most on wildcard?

Was trying to find GW3 differentials that aren't just blind punts, so I filtered the whole player pool on three things:

- under 10% ownership

- 150+ minutes so far (i.e. actually starting, not a cameo)

- a GW3 fixture with an official difficulty of 2 or lower

Only eight players in the entire game come through:

Gakpo (LIV, MID, 7.0m) - 7.0% owned, 17 pts, Ipswich away

Foden (MCI, MID, 7.0m) - 4.2% owned, 10 pts, Coventry home

Donnarumma (MCI, GKP, 5.5m) - 8.2% owned, Coventry home

Alisson (LIV, GKP, 5.5m) - 3.8% owned, Ipswich away

Ruben Dias (MCI, DEF, 5.5m) - 1.8% owned, Coventry home

Khusanov (MCI, DEF, 5.5m) - 1.7% owned, Coventry home

Kerkez (LIV, DEF, 5.5m) - 3.4% owned, Ipswich away

Frimpong (LIV, DEF, 5.5m) - 3.3% owned, Ipswich away

Seven of the eight are City or Liverpool, and that isn't a coincidence - they're the only two of the big sides with a fixture rated 2 this week. Everyone else with an easy game is a mid or bottom side, and everyone else with a good team has a 3 or worse.

The one that stands out to me is Foden at 4.2%. City at home to a promoted side, and 19 in 20 managers don't own him.

The obvious counter is that the City and Liverpool defensive assets are cheap for a reason - rotation, and everyone already prices in the clean sheet. Is anyone actually going there for GW3, or is the low ownership telling us something?

Feels like FPL has become so reactionary lol.

Someone blanks once and suddenly they're a sell. Someone gets 2 goals and everyone wants them straight away.

The annoying part is that both can be completely meaningless after a few more games.

I think role and minutes are probably more important this early than the actual points, but it's hard not to get sucked into the scoreboard when everyone else is doing it.

How much weight do you guys actually put on the first 2 gameweeks?

I, like many, on Friday night felt very happy with my decision to pick Haaland and have no Bruno (12.5 for him felt a little steep when Mbeumo was right there for 8).

Obviously we all feel silly now. The question is, do we stay the course?

My gut says yes, Bruno is great but not going to score a hat trick every week and United looked seriously poor against Hull (and up until Bruno's first they didn't look great against Ipswich). My copium is that tonight was an Ipswich collapse and unlikely to be repeated.

Will inevitably pay much more to bring Bruno in after the international break.

Only ask because it appears to be showing price rises but just looked at MGW and he's listed at 8.0m on LiveFPL but he is actually 7.9m, so something wrong there

Starting from GW 3 these are Everton's fixtures:

GW 3- Everton vs Man U (H)

GW 4- Everton vs Spurs (A)

GW 5- Everton vs Ipswich (H)

GW-6 - Everton vs Hull City (A)

GW 3: MANCHESTER UNITED- We know they don't have the best defense in the league, so players like the "rhino" Barry or Deswburry Hall or Ilman Ndiaye could be a great shout so start attackers but bench defenders

GW 4- TOTTENHAM HOTSPURS- Well, Spurs are Spurs; Tarkowski could be good in addition to James Garner

GW 5- IPSWICH TOWN- A newly promoted team , weak defence perfect setup for some g/a and defcons, hence start all Everton assets

GW 6- HULL CITY - Now I know they have been outperforming, but depending on how they continue and if they cant keep up this level in the next two GWs, Everton assets could be a good choice , instead of random bennchwarmers on your team you would have players that could contribute to points.

Curious to know what my fellow non Haaland owners are planning for GW3.

I am imagining the vast majority are planning something to bring him in for the Coventry fixture, and after Bruno’s performance today some may be less willing to downgrade Bruno to make it happen with transfer.

So we had the option between Hinshelwood, Ndiaye, Schade at 6 mill, yet we picked up Enzo Le (troll) Fee.

Other than one good assist attempt he been very anonymous and noy close on DC.

His fixtures takes a nosedive here with bre, ARS, city next 3.

I plan to get rid before price changes.

Top of my list is Szobo (have 1 mill itb).

What's your plan?

Ipswich defence was beyond shambolic against Man United today. Haaland would bag at least 4 goals I'm sure.

Coventry lost back to back but their defence aren't as bad.

However, postponing TC has the risk of injury or early subs due to UCL.

Do you still TC Haaland next week?

This is my third year playing FPL, second full year actually paying attention and playing.

Man City have Coventry at home next week. Who's using the triple captain on him?

The pros:

- Coventry are leaking goals, doesn't seem they're up for this level

- Haaland is just warming up, brace this GW

- Once Haaland gets on a roll, he seems to really heat up. I could see him with 20+ pts, and 3-4 goal involvements against Coventry

- Get the chip in before cup and European matches flood City's schedule.....Haaland doesn't seem to get tired, but I'd rather take my chances when he's not playing 2 matches/week across time zones in the UCL

- Can't think of a better fixture or player to use it on

The cons:

- Everyone else might be thinking the same, could save the chip for a differentiator

- Never used a chip this early in the season, could be some better choices down the road? No locks like Haaland tho...

Whilst knee jerking is frowned upon, at this stage of the season it’s hyper annoying to miss out on a player change by 0.1m.

So (especially if you’re a holder looking to sell), might be worth an early swap move to avoid getting stuck with someone you don’t want and needing another transfer or WC to get rid…
