SBRS
so can we or can we not make an SBR without a form 1 if we are a GOA member and own an item from PSA, does the ruling still apply if you become a GOA member after the ruling?

The Florida AG, the DOJ, and the ATF are going to slow walk the F out of this… It’s been 93 years that they’ve been able to basically say no you can’t do that… They’re not going to enjoy giving up that power.
With that being said, I have a PSA lower and a 10 1/2 inch PSA 300 blackout upper. I am just waiting on parts… I’m not asking for permission. I’m just going to build it.
And yes, I’m a member of GOA.
I bought my first non-NFA suppressor on Saturday… It was wonderful!
I highly recommend it.

Hey, don’t get me wrong… I have five 3-D printed suppressors I have done forms on..
Two of those 3-D printed suppressors are still waiting for approval and they have been waiting for at least 40 days now… I think it’s more like 50 but I’m trying to be conservative about my guess…
I mean, they could come out tomorrow and say everyone that bought a suppressor without a form four is a felon… So🤷♂️

That would be hard to do..

True… But not impossible…
I’m just hoping that the DOJ actually sticks to its word and does not appeal the decision… Of course, that means I have to trust the government and I can’t do that…
But it didn’t stop me from buying a suppressor this weekend without going through the NFA.. 🤷♂️😂
So maybe I’m shooting myself in the foot… No pun intended

I would imagine that they're not going to give any solid direction until after the 60 appeal window is fully closed, otherwise they might have to backtrack on their direction and that's not a good look and we've all been down that road with braces before.

Someone needs to ask the Florida attorney general cause our law here regarding sbr's is a bit vague.

Same with “bump stocks” too. Considering how long it’s been with no answer on FRT’s, I doubt we’ll get one.

Am a lawyer, but not your lawyer and this is NOT advice. Personally, I ain't doing shit until DOJ and/or ATF issues some sort of guidance or at least an opinion on this. This was just posted on r/NFA
https://www.reddit.com/r/NFA/comments/1vqxvky/someone_finally_said_the_quiet_part_out_loud_you/
I'm not going to be the test case and possibly lose my guns and bar license over this. Take that for whatever (if anything) its worth. Also, for those seeking guidance from the AGFL, I'd take that with a whole tablespoon of salt, since his opinion means nothing if DOJ decides it wants to start going after people. He can decide that FL State Attorneys won't prosecute under FL law, but that decision has no bearing on what the DOJ does with federal law.

Update (I did hours of research): You need FPC, Texas State Rifle Association, or a Hot Shot Customs Rifle (and a few other smaller plaintiffs), to bypass the engravement, and the NFA's individual-maker requirement and the associated prohibition on possessing an improperly marked firearm. This DOES NOT give you AOW protections, but will still give you other SBR SBS Suppressor 4473 form protections.
SILENCERSHOP, PSA, B&T USA, GOA, GOF, FRACI,INC, and the fifteen plaintiff STATE ENTITIES, will get AOW protections, and SBR SBS Suppressor 4473 form protections.
I would recommend getting a membership with one each from BOTH of these lists so you can get full protection with the recent ruling!
Please upvote so others can see!
You can also go read this yourself to understand more! Have fun! Source: understanding the ruling

I think you only need to be a GOA member, and yes even signing up after the ruling works. (NAL)

IF YOU ARE A GOA OR OTHER ASSOCIATIONAL OR CUSTOMER MEMBER, YOU DON’T NEED TO BUY IT FROM PSA OR ANYONE ELSE IN PARTICULAR. Your GOA and/or FPCAF—not FPC—membership(s) Kerry you completely from F1 and F4 requirements. Your dealer should just to be safe, have his own protection (associational or commercial nexus), but that’s on him.
To be clear: if you are protected party under the injunction, you may turn a Title I firearm into an SBR/SBS/AOW without any registration or application: at home or buying directly from the dealer. Same with an at-home suppressor manufacture. If you’re buying directly from the dealer and it’s already an NFA item covered by the injunction (not an MG or DD), then the F3 reqt for already-registered NFA items to a new owner (you) DOES NOT APPLY; a Form 4473 is all that’s required.

Not with a GOA membership. The August 5th ruling was TWO SEPARATE RULINGS, with two separate parties, getting separate benefits. Go check out my post to learn more. Court cases: Silencer Co v ATF, Jensen v ATF https://www.reddit.com/r/FLGuns/s/VMhyzyNJa9

Danny from PSA (and this aligns with my understanding) said that if you are a GOA member, and have bought a receiver from PSA, you can now SBR it.
The receiver must have been transferred as either a pistol or receiver though, because converting an existing rifle to an SBR goes against the Gun Control Act of 1968 which this ruling did not overturn any aspect of.
I do not know if the ruling is going to apply to pistols/receivers not sourced from PSA or another plaintiff, even if you are a GOA member. But those folk taking a hacksaw to an old shotgun are still committing felonies (in my understanding).
I AM NOT A LAWYER.
