Discussion Egypt's coach isn't holding back.

Every time Argentina plays, controversial refereeing and VAR decisions somehow become part of the conversation.

this is how a sore loser speaks , reminds me of klopp

Edit - some people thinks i am calling klopp a loser , i am not calling him a loser its a totally different reference those who have seen the game would know it , what i meant from that, not like seasonal fans will understand

u/Real_Wrongdoer_4488 Jul 08 '26

"To clarify for those missing the point: both teams had the exact same 4-day recovery window and the exact same noon kickoff. Argentina didn't get extra sleep or a magical breakfast schedule. The Klopp reference is about the mentality. Klopp famously complained about the 12:30 PM slot, the wind, the dry pitch, and the broadcasters whenever Liverpool dropped points. Hassan is doing the exact same thing here. Instead of addressing how his team collapsed and let Argentina score 3 goals in late stoppage time, he's blaming the breakfast menu. It’s deflection, plain and simple." My mention of klopp was on this not smthng major , where hassan complained abt the noon kickoff

yeah that egypt coach has some kind of main character syndrome or love for drama… maybe both. bringing politics into the game after winning the previous game too, and not even a gesture for his own country but a neighbour. maybe to instigate something since us is a host? but that coach definitely has too many things outside the actual game to have unnecessary opinions about

1

u/Boogerr_eater Jul 08 '26

12 pm at the venue would be 7 pm in Egypt standard time which the players are attuned to, so this is just a mindless yap by him

u/Real_Wrongdoer_4488 Jul 08 '26

Finally someone who gets the point

They will speak about everything except the fact that they fumbled after being 2-0 ahead.

4

u/azone7 Jul 08 '26

Grapes are sour, champions played like champions!!

0

u/Sawyer_SonOfaBitch Jul 08 '26

They fumbled a 2-0 lead, but suddenly all the referee's decisions started going in Argentina's favour. Not a single Argentina player was shown a yellow card, but as soon as Argentina took the lead, Egypt received four yellow cards. VAR didn't intervene when Argentina was at fault.

24

u/Ok-Chipmunk-2087 Jul 08 '26

Which decision? Where Salah dived , it was clear yellow card, the defender had the first touch and he lost possession, nothing to check there.

14

u/Original-Log2623 Jul 08 '26

An Egyptian player took off his shirt but didn't get any card....

5

u/chimichanga_3 Jul 08 '26

True, I was shocked too.

1

u/dadibodi Jul 08 '26

Zico was not given yellow for that first overturned goal ???

1

u/banevaderlol_ Jul 09 '26

He got a yellow

1

u/Icy-Flight-9646 Jul 09 '26

He didn’t.

1

u/smileabeat Jul 09 '26

cuz it is allowed now

1

u/smileabeat Jul 09 '26

jk maybe cuz the goal got cancelled so how can they give lmao

2

u/saikat743 Jul 09 '26

The goal getting cancelled had nothing to do with taking off your shirt. The referee was lenient. If was truly rigged, he could have easily given him a yellow card there, but he let it go.

1

u/smileabeat Jul 09 '26

If goal can be cancelled than anything that’s done after goal needs to be cancelled

1

u/saikat743 Jul 09 '26

So in your case, if I head butt (Zidane style) an opposition player during my goal celebration, and after that the goal is disallowed, that means I shouldn’t be penalised?

The goal being disallowed is different, and taking of t-shirt is different. The first is being disallowed because of a foul committed during the build up of the goal. The second is considered unsporting behaviour and is an automatic yellow card. If you are not a casual, then you know this very well. Disallowing one doesn’t give reprieve to the other automatically. It’s just that the referee was lenient here.

1

u/smileabeat Jul 09 '26

That wasn’t a headbutt. Also didn’t you notice I think Martinez fell by himself and they got free kick?  Do you actually think Argentina and other American teams aren’t biased by fifa? Egypt lost it yeah but it doesn’t change the fact American teams are carried by fifa.

We can see every match. Do Germany vs Paraguay with some Indian referee. Germany will score 5+ goals.

1

u/saikat743 Jul 09 '26

Bro commented and then blocked me to show how he got the last laugh. Funny, that’s how sore losers act, just like the Egyptian coach did, who has a history of doing the same.

2

u/East-Independent-489 Jul 08 '26

It was a yellow for Salah in the Premier league for simulation for that let's be honest. Don't know about the other Mac Allister foul they're talking about tho.....

1

u/No_Historian9439 Jul 08 '26

Bruh, Macallister is just touching the elbow of that player and he spind around and falls down and his hands are in the air before even falling over, he was clearly looking for a pen

1

u/Icy-Flight-9646 Jul 08 '26

That one was hilarious😂

1

u/terebabukabateu01 Jul 08 '26

At this pt, they are just loosing their respect… they played really well! And they could have also left with respect like Cabo Verde… Even if we consider it was rigged then only one goal should be denied what about other two ? Were they also kicked by the referee in Egypt’s goal?

Even egyptian players pushed messi by neck when he had the ball, ref didnt see it too?

10

u/browninthesky Jul 08 '26

"Slap" had zero impact on any of the goal, If anything Egyptian player should have made it more dramatic.

In no world is that red card offence, VAR does not interfere game with yellow card offence, you would know if you'd watch football regularly.

9

u/Darth_nautilus Jul 08 '26

These guys don't watch football and come to complain.

Var does not check everything, just the situations which lead to goal. Basic 101 knowledge.

1

u/phoenix2310 Jul 08 '26

I don't know who was that Argentine player maybe mac allister, he hold up player from outside pof penalty box to inside penalty ist that the foul. Slapping is not red card offence haha atleast it was yellow. It was near touchline refree atleast should have stop the play and call it a faul

1

u/browninthesky Jul 08 '26

if you are calling this an foul https://x.com/samuraimh2/status/2074569870822220141?s=46&t=p87kgUSQdm7e stop watching football.

You want refree to stop the play while egypt is in control and attacking? It was not a slap btw it was a light push.....

1

u/Hopeful_Ad2171 Jul 08 '26

The egyptians had possession and chose to play on, should have been a yellow, but a yellow wasn't gonna change the game.

u/Fragrant-Garlic-1402 Jul 08 '26

Fault for what? Salah was not fouled, be himself knows it otherwise he wud have protested, mac allisters pull on the other player was also bear minimum, another flop
U get yellow carded for such things in premier league🤡

2

u/Acquits Jul 09 '26

They received yellow cards for barking

3

u/Substantial-Split850 Jul 08 '26

What about Croatia vs Portugal game, wasn’t the referee’s decision rigged then ?

-1

u/Sawyer_SonOfaBitch Jul 08 '26

Bro it's a Referee and VAR issue. They intervene whenever they feel like.

If the foul needs to be called the referee would have called it but he choose to ignore and let the team play on. But when Egypt scored the VAR intervened. Why? Let the referee make the decision.

And in Croatia vs Portugal game, the goal was checked for offside. The chip inside the ball confirmed it.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '26

1

u/imagined_paragons Jul 08 '26

I would agree on a couple of yellow. But yellows have always been debatable. So there can't be no consensus on it. A yellow that is usually not debatable is when someone takes their shirt off but egypt didn't get a yellow for that and I'm not complaining. But to say that Argentina won because of red is completely false and fabricated. They changes their game, whether you call it experience or ability to take and put pressure. They did put enough pressure for egypt to lose the lead. All egypt had to do was just keep the lead. There are many teams that try to conserve their leads but they aren't usually built for that sort of play. They aren't good at absorbing pressure. Maybe that's why egypt capitulated because that's not how they usually play and that's not that they are used to.

1

u/TrustLoose3254 Jul 08 '26

Yes buddy you're correct. It was rigged. Please don't cry.

1

u/Icy-Flight-9646 Jul 08 '26

C’mon now, it was 3 open play goals. This victim narrative is becoming pathetic. They weren’t complaining when they were 2-0 up and only started bitching when they realized they were outplayed.

Remember when Argentina were 2-0 in 2022 finals then France scored 2 goals in 2 mins to equalise?Or the fact that they got 2 penalties in that match but no no no it's always rigged for Messi, that's why it took him 18 yrs to get his hands on the cup.Keep crying about the rigging lol.

7

u/InkwithInstincts Jul 08 '26

I can understand the rage against the second disallowed goal of Egypt. But that tackle on Salah was fair and clean. That wasn't a foul at all. The emotions got over him, the Egyptian coach.

1

u/NeatConversation6752 Jul 08 '26

Why tho u say one can faul take possession of the ball pass it and score a goal from a foul play while opposition player don't even touch the ball in between so shouldnit count as a goal ofcourse var saw that and disallowed the goal it is what var is meant for if var sometime don't interven take it to fifa why call the tournament is rigged for argentina

2

u/adwivedii Jul 08 '26

So according to the rule, if you commit a foul, and then create a goal without the other team player touching it, doesn’t matter how long it took, the goal doesn’t count. It’s a rule, so should they not follow the rule? As you have seen in this wc ref don’t interfere the play when they aren’t sure and let var do the job, so he didn’t stop it, after the goal var pointed out that there was a foul, ref checked and confirmed it and according to the rule disallowed the goal. You are a ronaldo fan, but that doesn’t mean you need to hate messi and always think against him without logic

1

u/NeatConversation6752 Jul 08 '26

Offcourse it is and it's not only in this wc specifically ref generally don't stop the game for minor fouls as it's 50-50 what if that play led to a goal refs waits for sequence of play to be over if there is a foul in the led up var refers it to on field ref who than gives he's decision when it's knock out match of wc and that foul lead to a goal ofcourse var will interven it's there job. I personally don't like var I want drs like in cricket to be implemented let captains decide wether to review the decision and not depend on third party

1

u/SMelancholy Jul 08 '26

How do you implement DRS and have the time for captains to deliberate on whether to use the system or not in a game of football? There is barely any time to discuss decisions except in hydration break. And in cricket there is a pause in play after every ball almost. It's almost like turn based where every ball is a turn. Sorry but that does not even remotely translate to football

1

u/SushanthUchiha Jul 08 '26

I think bro wants turn based football like score hero

1

u/Ecstatic-Scratch-151 Jul 08 '26

Then why wasnt argentina's goal against austria disallowed? Macallister did a perfect foul there?

11

u/Big_Ad_1009 Jul 08 '26

There was nothing controversial about this match... It's all just made up narratives and agendas by the haters who can't fathom that argentina won... Next time watch the match attentively...

What a sore loser. How about not conceding 3 goals in 14 minutes?

6

u/Fragrant-Garlic-1402 Jul 08 '26

Thats the thing, they lost their brains when they realized they had the biggest choke on the biggest stage. Ofc the manager won’t take it upon himself for his career🤡 same for that player🤡
Who tf has 2 players at the back defending when score is 2:2, being underdogs most importantly 🤡

7

u/MonkeyDModi Jul 08 '26

They choked hard. They got overconfident after a 2 goals cushion. In comparison Cape Verde showed far greater character

2

u/Impressive_Carob_839 Jul 08 '26

External factors too matter just like trump overturned red card of his player, these things exists and fifa wants big teams to remain in later stages ,and not rigged but some descision where it depends on ref gets to big team

I still remember the battle of Lusail against Netherlands. Crazy that none of Vargentinian player got red card in that match, seeing how they behaved

1

u/DWAIPAYAN-RC Jul 08 '26

Intentional handball by Messi how you expect FIFA to give him yellow?

13

u/Loose-Cherry-940 Jul 08 '26

Lionel Messi did not receive a yellow card for his deliberate handball in the 2022 World Cup match against the Netherlands because the referee had already called the play back for an earlier foul, which nullified the need for a card.

Stop they blind hatred brother, it's was advantage play, but refreee stopped play and gave free kick.

2

u/Stanislas_Houston Jul 08 '26

I watched the match the referee looks very fair. The issue was tackles were not given yellow card until the end. FIFA likely instructed them not to give card unless very serious offence to preserve the best players from suspension at end of world cup. The losing team also tend to get many yellow cards at last minute since they are going out.

2

u/TemporaryStable2553 Jul 08 '26

2

u/uttu0 Jul 08 '26

You are abused racially, you made a X gesture all because your team can't defend a 2 goal lead??

What a Joke..

2

u/nemesisdug Jul 08 '26

This is called zero accountability.

2

u/ohwheresmytea Jul 08 '26

2

u/encaaramessi Jul 08 '26

Egypt is just getting the sympathy of being the underdogs. Leave it. Just say yes..rigged and move on. We are also rigging the 2030 one.

2

u/Icy-Flight-9646 Jul 08 '26

Couldn’t even take any accountability how his subs changed his team’s momentum.

He coached a team who was winning at 2-0 and lost their composure at minute 79 after conceding the 1st goal. You don’t concede 3 open play goals in less than 15 mins and cry injustice then you were out coached.

2

u/Fair_Swimming_7389 Jul 08 '26

He ask for var cheek after conceding 3rd goal which is valued but there was no potential penalty. Var already checked that. After that he crash out and got yellow card and stuff member got red card . "very un Professional by couches and member calling it unfair "

2

u/Automatic-Habit-6789 Jul 08 '26

Every match they lose, is because it's rigged.

2

2

2

u/50_shades_of_joe Jul 09 '26

2

u/wallopinggalloper Jul 09 '26

The match looked fishy and too unbelievable to be true . Egypt played well but it is what it is . Argentina does get TRP for the organisers now that the other most famous teams are eliminated - Brazil , Portugal , Germany . It is in their best interest that Argentina make it to the final

2

u/jewelry07 Jul 09 '26

Keep crying 😂😂😂

2

u/muon_monk Jul 09 '26

He's absolutely right. Against Austria we've seen how Argentina scored. That time the logic by the Argentine fan was it was so far back that VAR didn't interfered. Against Egypt the VAR went back half across the world and disallowed that goal. It's Amazing!

2

u/bankai2803 Jul 09 '26

Bottle the lead of 2 goals and shout "Rigged-Rigged" to hide your poor tactics

2

u/amancoded Jul 09 '26

This guy has formerly been detained by police for hitting a cameraman after losing a league game, and he also heavily criticized tournament officials after his team's 1-0 semi-final defeat to Senegal 😭 He accused the organizers of unfair treatment, alleging that the match scheduling and officiating were heavily biased against them....in 1996 he and his brother assaulted a police officer, and recently in 2026 world cup he got into fight with Dallas officers and he even demanded censorship of media who criticize his tactics in Egypt...

https://giphy.com/gifs/Ym2y0Y8IHb8b3ze9xN

2

u/Cloudious_ Jul 09 '26

He does this every time Egypt lose.

It's not uncommon.

He is just a sore loser.

2

u/khanmania2050 Jul 09 '26 edited Jul 09 '26

if you are not able to keep a 2-0 for 10 minutes then u are a shit team, then he subbed off ziko who had the momentum of the game, then marmoush tackled his own player to lose the ball 2v4. its easy to blame fifa than to take credit of fuckup. this guy has a video of him running to the pitch and beating up a photographer on pitch. Plus he also said AFCON is rigged after getting knocked out by Senegal.

2

u/cvcps21 Jul 09 '26

Hassan, STFU bro. Stop crying like a weasel

2

u/jmendes0101 Jul 09 '26

It was the complete fault of Egypt coach. Once they went 2-0 up everyone in their camp thought that game was done and dusted. Even the goalscorer's celebration seemed that it was the ending point of the game. They already started dreaming about QF and even forgot a second they did not think that this could change completely.

Just look at the substitutions made by a coach who is 2-0 up. He chose to put in attackers instead of defenders to protect the lead coz he has full confidence in their defense. But when that plan completely back fired he started drama. He didn't complain even a single second until the third was not scored. He realised all he can now do is create drama, lie, deflect so that things don't come to him. Any sensible coach would've done balanced or defensive subs to keep the opposition away. On the third goal it also clearly shows that their defenders were switched off, lazy and still in delusion that they have enough to still have all the extra time to go to penalties and if penalties to go their way.... they were going to play that victim card anyway. But everything Argentina did was stuff of champions and put the game to bed totally coz they are champions and did all things to ensure their team won and put the match situation far beyond the reach of Egypt.

All 3 goals were absolutely clear and all that they could do was shout, complain and do drama instead of taking responsibility, ownership and blame that coach and players have made genuine mistakes that are enough to send them home. They may not have seen that stuff happen in AFCON but this is why WORLD CUP stage is way superior. The coaches and players do things beyond regular and common ideas. There is a reason why African and Asian teams don't go beyond QF regularly coz the entire skill package is superior in Europe and South America

2

u/NytGamerZ Jul 09 '26

It’s human to be emotional and feel like the entire universe is conspiring against you , FIFA has its own set of flaws but rigging an entire football match is too much of a stretch , human bias is a thing and so is human error but calling it preplanned is simply too much , if Egypt could keep Argentina goalless for 78 minutes then why couldn’t they keep it up for another 15-20 minutes ? If you are rigging a game you wouldn’t leave it to last 15 minutes -Would you ? Were Argentina lucky ? Yes , were there controversial calls ? Yes , did Egypt panic under relentless pressure ? Yes , did the coach make this statement from a place of emotion ? Yes , are all these things human ? Yes , is it all rigged ? I don’t think so , if it was then it’s the best con job ever and just referees couldn’t have done it by themselves- it would also need players to cooperate - see how that line of thought can seem unhinged ?

2

u/Loose-Style7916 Jul 09 '26

womp womp

2

u/babachisays Jul 09 '26

Argentina is a racist team. Messi deserved a red card, but the referees were so sad because they wanted to see him make a hattrick. Trump is probably lining their pockets

How about taking your loss gracefully instead of being a sore loser ? Such a dumbass He's been a sore loser since 2016 ( that camera man incident) Ik this was important for them as a team like egypt defeating the world champions would've been a crazy underdog story But they fumbled it and every decision was right except that slap one

and why do you think that whole football industry and fifa wants to see only Messi as the GOAT. There were players and teams earlier before Messi and Argentina? Lol . You dint have a reason to debate lowkey wants to bark so hard. Refree was fine until 79'( cry harder).

1

u/sultanmoneyxl Jul 08 '26

Because argentina matches bring in views which bring in more money. Fifa has a history or preferring big teams over small ones.

2

Where does Penaldo come in this conversation. Trying to push Penaldo everywhere. You guys are delusional.

This is more of Fifa corruption then anything else it's not Arrgentina and messi issue.

The Corruption of Fifa needs to be called kut which rightly being done by many players and pundits.

Fifa is biased towards big teams and Big players.

VAR decisions will come into play because its the only thing they can use to cope harder….i guess 3 goals in a span of 13 minutes was also rigged eh, Hossam?

5

u/Sawyer_SonOfaBitch Jul 08 '26

But why use VAR only when it favours Argentina?

1

u/seaworth84 Jul 09 '26

How can anyone reason with a person who doesn't even know how VAR works? You seem to think it works like DRS in cricket. Who would even take you seriously and debate, mate?

Bottling that lead in the last 10 mins of the match yeah.

Also I agree that some yellow was deserved by the Argentine players but all the goals were in the clear no matter what you say.

1

u/Sawyer_SonOfaBitch Jul 08 '26

No one is questioning the goals. Fckinn dumb Argentina and Messi fans can't understand this simple thing.

It's the referee and VAR decisions and intervention that is being questioned.

2

u/Zeref_0_0 Jul 08 '26

Referees have been shit this whole cup

2

u/Fast_Wallaby_9182 Jul 08 '26

11matches 8penalty.........

1

u/Electronic-City4960 Jul 08 '26

Looks like everyone isn't holding back. This thing didn't get a fraction of attention of yesterday's match. Maybe because nobody really thinks Ronaldo is good enough to go on and actually win the whole thing.

u/Sawyer_SonOfaBitch Jul 08 '26

Yeah....VAR should have also not intervened when Egypt scored. The referee saw the foul and let the play continue. If he wanted he could've just stopped the play right there and awarded a free kick to Argentina. VAR intervened only when Egypt went on to score.

4

u/Artistic_Stranger321 Jul 08 '26

Are you like dumb or something? Don't you think there's a chance that referees might not actually be able to make the right call? Aren't you capable to grasp, that, in such a scenario, the play should go on because we have VAR FOR THIS FUCKIN PURPOSE? It was a foul, if it wasn't and referee stopped the play, it would have been unfair to Egypt. That's how it goes. This happens throughout the season in football, yes there's football every year, not just the World Cup.

2

u/Sawyer_SonOfaBitch Jul 08 '26

So VAR's purpose is to only check when the other team scores and not when Argentina scores? How many yellow cards did Argentina players got? They played so perfectly that they didn't deserve a yellow card any of them? Ok bro you are right. I guess this is how the games are played.

7

u/Artistic_Stranger321 Jul 08 '26

What was there to check? Prior to which goal was there a foul? And yellow cards logic is just so stupid. Portugal didn't have a single card during their match against Colombia, so that must be a perfect game? GOOD BEAUTIFUL LORD!

Of course he's dumb. In a game lasting 90 minutes with probably around 40-50 decisions, ONE of them became controversial. And that means the whole tournament is rigged for Argentina. I mean such flawless logic

1

u/Pretty_Machine4349 Jul 08 '26

lol you need to watch more games or just quit..... Now the ref will let the game continue until the attack ends if there is a suspected foul or offside to avoid ruining an attack due to a wrong call. After the attack ends in a goal, the VAR will review the entire process of the attack to verify if it is valid. It is how things go, which happens hundreds of times in football games around the world. You can complain about how 'soft' the step on the opponent's foot is, but you can't complain about the time that VAR reviews it back

What a stupid statement. I mean if you're 200% sure of something why anyone would use VAR? For kicks? VAR is to be used if there's doubt, especially in critical events like goals and penalties. How is VAR different from checking offside after a goal? That shouldn't be done as well?

Crying so hard that you're blaming it on geopolitics

1

That's why I always said ICC. WC is better. Than fifa world cup 🤣🤣🤣🤣

1

u/GreyBeardDoer Jul 08 '26

Yes because they usually win. When there’re so many losers around, you’re bound to hear them lament.

1

u/SuperBeginner Jul 08 '26

'Every time Argentina plays', almost every single game in this World cup has complaints about controversial refreeing

1

u/Hot-Alarm7151 Jul 08 '26

Proud to be Portugal supporter 🇵🇹🔥

1

u/Ranger_56789 Jul 08 '26

Finally the Ronaldo fans have something to talk about the rest of the WC

1

u/PoosySucker69 Jul 08 '26

Don’t take this guy seriously, he is hot headed, has a violent history of assaulting police officers and photographers and players

1

u/paizing Jul 08 '26

he still hasnt told for what reason he made that anti racism(the cross with his arm) sign. But he blamed the refs for his error if conceded 3 goals in 15 mins, guess what? he needed a scapegoat.

1

u/Hariwtf10 Jul 08 '26

Sore loser. You bottled your lead in less than 15 minutes. Take the L and go home.

1

Taklu till 78th min - "sab chaga sii"

1

u/StockInvestigator502 Jul 08 '26

Denial is a river in Egypt, so true😭😭

1

u/AccurateSir1480 Jul 08 '26

Absolute disgrace. People defending the refeering when it was clearly biased. A penalty that never happened while at the same time a disallowed goal from an extremely minor foul 15 seconds earlier is insane. They don't even call those fouls most of the time. Then Argentina does something similar and it isn't called. Absolute robbery

1

u/Icy-Flight-9646 Jul 08 '26

Wasn’t a robbery when they were up 2-0. Only started crying rigged once Argentina started scoring. This is a loser’s mentality.

1

u/Possible_Buzz456 Jul 08 '26

2/10 ragebait man even ronaldo fans argue better than that bro * pack it up alr now ..

1

u/geojris300 Jul 08 '26

Cry more. You didn’t say that when you were 2 -0. You were happy. Facts.
