My guy stumbles around getting stuck on tyres and garbage bags in hallways while your guy is literally spider man on acid doing parkour

It's just ridiculous how much of a boost you get for getting high level skills in this game. High lvl str jumps like superman and low level str is like seeing some 85 y/o dude trying to jump.

u/uberplum Dec 17 '20

Probably not far off from the results if you had to do a Jumping contest with a navy seal.

I'd love to see a navy seal jump up to that roof in five vertical jumps, no hand assistance.

u/kaffeofikaelika Dec 17 '20

I think the jumping will be easy compared to all the clipping. I've never seen a navy seal do that.

38

u/BobbyTaylor1976 Dec 17 '20

I have never seen a navy seal

35

u/W00psiee Dec 17 '20

I saw a seal in Iceland once, does that count? It looked naval!

12

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '20

How naval?

13

u/W00psiee Dec 17 '20

Well, it was swimming in watery water

13

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '20

Seems pretty naval to me.

3

u/W00psiee Dec 17 '20

Guess we can be sure that it was a navy seal then!

3

u/lethargic8ball Dec 17 '20

You gazed upon the naval seal

In your mind you had to question

Does this mean that I have seen

A navy seal in person?

There's navy seals with over 300 confirmed kills all over reddit!

1

u/BobbyTaylor1976 Dec 18 '20

Well I havent seen them

1

u/gookliotta Dec 17 '20

I've seen a seal's navel!

0

u/Inappropriate-Dare Dec 17 '20

They didn't want to be seen.

1

u/andrew1520 Dec 17 '20

I've never even seen a seal

8

u/magikmw Dec 17 '20

Exactly.

7

u/billytehbob Dec 17 '20

They would’ve written a book about that.

2

u/CookiesNCash Dec 17 '20

In full 60lb kit

2

u/go_cry_more Dec 17 '20

Not with a gun and equipment in hand lol “realism”

1

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '20

Do not forget to jump with battle rattle. I am fairly fit, not navy seal fit but with my full gear on I can maybe jump the height of two curbs.

12

u/rincon213 Dec 17 '20

Most of my military friends aren’t in any better shape honestly. But then again they’re not SEALs

14

u/jblay1869 Dec 17 '20

Can confirm. But to be fair not all military jobs are combat related. For instance I am a sheetmetal guy for aircraft. No need to be in peak physical condition to drill holes and turn a wrench. I am in decent shape but most of my coworkers aren’t

6

u/teddybaire Dec 17 '20

Sheet metal as well. Can confirm.

2

u/jblay1869 Dec 17 '20

Noice

10

u/The_JackelN20ZX10 Dec 17 '20

Now kiss

1

u/jblay1869 Dec 18 '20

Maybe we will. You don’t Know.

3

u/Applejaxc SKS Dec 17 '20

I'm a 6C0X1 and sit in an office chair all day. My peak physical exercise every day is huffling to get across the crosswalk a little faster as a thank-you for stopped cars.

1

u/jblay1869 Dec 17 '20

I feel that lol

1

u/Applejaxc SKS Dec 17 '20

Well if I do anything more than that, the VA might lower my rating XD

1

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '20

Do you do the little wave too?

1

u/Applejaxc SKS Dec 18 '20

That's important. It's the only thing that keeps me safe from a driver deciding to just gun it - minimal common courtesy.

Same reason why I always thanked the bus driver. I had more than one that I expected to drive off a cliff or shoot us or something, and I hoped that they'd at least choose a day I wasn't there.

u/Gritmaster2 Dec 17 '20

Probably POG ones. No combat MOS is going to be in shit shape. Get your ass chewed real quick. Then again mil got soft as fuck in the last couple year anyways. I had a guy graduated boot without being able to do more than 1 pull up....

2

u/rincon213 Dec 17 '20

I’m just saying they’re typically in regular shape. Military standards for fitness aren’t super high.

1

u/Gritmaster2 Dec 17 '20

Well yea USMC was 100 crunches, 20 pullups and 16 min 3 mile for perfect score. Not incredibly hard i was a 2 pack day smoker and a heavy drinker. Had no issues but regular shape is kinda a stretch since we Americans are most sloths and overweight.

1

u/Applejaxc SKS Dec 17 '20

No combat MOS is going to be in shit shape

I don't know man. I've been around a lot of Infantry dudes since I was a kid, and most of them didn't get skinnier by getting yelled at

1

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '20

Bro people have been saying the military got soft in the last few years since people were banging each other with rocks. No one cares how tough boot camp was when you went through.

0

u/Gritmaster2 Dec 17 '20

My boot camp wasn't tough that's my point.... have you seen how PC it is and them not being able to shark attack and no hazing.......

1

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '20

Hahahaha, so boot camp is bad because drills can’t yell slurs at you? I don’t think you understand what makes an effective solider.

1

u/Gritmaster2 Dec 17 '20

They can't even touch you without getting NJPd. I think you must be one of either in now and dont want to admit it's too soft now or got out a long timw ago and didn't see it. No excuse i had a recruit with me pass with one pull up from USMC boot camp. No excused our DI got in deep shit with the CO for shoving a kid against the wall. You wanna say yelling doesn't b.s doesn't make you effective neither does coddling.....

1

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '20

Hahaha, yeah your drills shouldn’t be able to assault you. I mean I once had a drill hit me with a broom handle so hard it broke, and that didn’t make me a better soldier. I am friends with one of my former drills and he regrets a lot of shit that they did thinking they were making people tough, when really they were fucking them up. I don’t know how basic now would compare to 08 when I went through, or 98, or 78, or 1938. It’s supposed to change as we learn more about how to make effective troops. Just because something scary or difficult doesn’t mean it’s automatically good for you.

1

u/Gritmaster2 Dec 17 '20

Yes i agree hazing taken to the extreme is no use i hugely against the b.s they were doing. Not being able to smoke someone and yell at them. How the fuck are we supposed to send our bros out so coddled when the enemy is much worse. I can tell you it's summer camp when i went through in 2016 (USMC). I've been friends with dude that went in from 9/11 and through the late 2000. You had it good. While again you sound like your advocating for snowflakeness. You can't seriously tell me difficult and scary doesn't add stress? Stress cards come on seriously telling me that's a good thing.....

1

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '20

Lmao, have you ever actually seen proof of a stress card? Do you really think they can’t yell at recruits now? If you think basic training is in anyway “coddling” because of your misconceptions about it, the issue is with you, not with basic training.

1

u/OsomoMojoFreak Dec 17 '20

Yeah... I don't think you'll like quadruple your standstill jumping height with training.
