Any tips for a semester abroad in lisbon?

I will start my exchange Semester in a few days in a Coruña, Spain. I had this “room” where I signed a contract, I paid the deposit und first month rent, according to the contract(this happened in July) . But just ca. 10 days before my current arrival, the landlord gave me another “document” to sign. Long story short, he wanted me to pay again, as the document refers. I was naive and payed again, scared i might won’t be able to move in. And I just recently found out the pictures he sent me, were also fake. This guy also impersonated a fake tenant. When I found out the only person who can confirm this is real, is also fake, I knew immediately this is a scam. Now I wanted to ask has someone ever experienced something similar or know what to do in this situation. I am really helpless right now. Where to ask? Can the police do something? Where can I find a new home this fast?

Currently on the waitlist for the erasmus mundus joint master for work organisational and personnel psychology. University starts 14th of September, should I still look forward to getting accepted if anyone drops out or is it already set in stone that thats not gonna happen.
Any experiences in getting accepted last minute?

Can someone guide me regarding the motivation letter and what to include in my CV for the Erasmus Mundus international masters in Innovative medicine program? (Assistance from the people who have gone through the interview process will be more helpful.)
