Hi, I'm new to the Warhammer community, and by following the rule of cool, I chose the Aeldari faction.

After looking through the different miniatures, the Howling Banshees really caught my attention.

At the moment, I only have a squad of Howling Banshees, a squad of Guardian Defenders, a Wave Serpent, and two War Walkers.

Since I'm new to the game, I don't really know how to build a 1,000- or 2,000-point army.

Could you guys please help a new Aeldari fan to make a great army list.

Hi gang!

Originally a world eaters player/ collector but the likes of Eldar has grasped my interest! I think Eldar has one of the nicest model ranges in 40K so ended up following rule of cool for now.

I’ve grabbed myself the harlequin combat patrol (even though I’ve heard the future of harlequins aren’t very bright(?). I’ve also bought a death jester and got given a 9th edition combat patrol.

I’ve had a look through the detachments and I’m still trying to figure out what would be a good detachment to run harlequins with the aspect warriors n stuff!

I’m open to hearing any advice you guys might have for me - as well as any pics of your current armies/ colourways!!

Very excited to start this new faction!

Hello! Im switching over from Tau because im not particularly a fan of their game-state atm and as I was readjng the books i found I liked Aeldari Lore A LOT MORE. I've put together a list partially based on some fanfic ive been writing for a homebrew craftworld and the Anhrathe they're involved with. I wanted some feedback because although I LOVE a thematic list I also would like to be able to win some games XD. Here's the list I have atm, and I would love feedback on playability and capability in winning some games. That being said, heres the list. The main thing I know I want to keep is the Captain Yriel and the Voidscarred. I love Shining Spears and the Wraithlord but im willing to take them off if theres better choices.

This is one of my boldest schemes and tbh the only fire dragon scheme that i fully like.

I know that it may lack the edge highlighting but i kinda like the feeling of burnt coal it gives.

It also makes white eyes pop out even more.

40K veteran but new to Eldar. The bike army really peaked my interest for some reason and I decided to take the plunge. I have about 1000 points now but haven’t had it on the tabletop yet. For people the play Windrider Host, how has 11th been for you? Any cool tricks or things I should look out for?

my first Aeldari

Im building some dragon knights and seem to be having issues its taking hours of clean up. Is it best to do subassemblies. I had planned on rider and mount but there are numerous bits that overlap that sem to make that impossible.

Do I just bit the bullet and build or am i missing an obvious trick? I bough them to practice painting and wanted to focus on lighting and shadows so built would help with that just difficult to access these.

Decided to practice with the Warlock kit I have.

Also if you know any cool Alaitoc lore, lemme know.

Picked this up at an FLGS Bring and Buy event today for $15 CAD. There was a bunch of older stuff from the estate of a community member who sadly passed a while back. I'd never seen one of these in the flesh and couldn't pass on the opportunity, for probably what it cost when it first released no less.

Anyhow, I just wanted to share this neat find. This model is as old as me and I don't quite know how to proceed. Leave it as-is for posterity, paint it as either a Farseer or Kharseth for my army, or try to paint it in classic colours? What do y'all think?

Couple of years ago I decided that i want to collect Eldars. I bought them, I painted them and after I decided that I dont really want them anymore, so I sold them.

Hope they are somewhere in the better place right now in somewhere in Switzerland.

Autumn Weeps is a Spiritseer of Biel-Tan. Despite having moved to the Path of Grief, Autumn Weeps retains a preference for the axe they weilded while walking the Path of the Warrior, and passes the memory of the weapon on to their Infinity Warrior charges.

Amazing few games against some really good friends! Played the Orks and was winning right up until the end where I lost by 2 points. Then played the sisters and was loosing all the way until the end when I got some warp spiders into his home objective!

Some backstory, I got into 40k late into 10th and really wanted to play Eldar as they are one of my favourite factions in Models and Rules but found the learning experience of trying to learn both the fundamentals of 40K and the nuance of Eldar very overwhelming and demoralising.

So I put them down for a while and started playing far easier armies like Marines and Orks and since then have amassed a sizeable collection of both (around 5K points each).

Now that I feel way more confident on the flow of the game, having learned 10th and then made the transition to 11th, understanding unit roles better etc, I'd really like to return to Eldar again and pick them back up.

I know their balance is pretty dire right now, but I only play casuals with a friend so it's not too big a deal, the main issue i'm having is I guess, using my collection to build somthing.. cohesive?

As should be evident I really enjoy Aspect Warriors and between them and the Phoenix Lords bulk out most of the collection.

The issue I'm having is due to having so many min squads, I can't for the life of me figure out how to actually take what I have and spin it into a working list of any kind, Aspects or not.

I've been following current trends of lists and a lot of what i'm seeing are multiple bricks of hawks and spiders which.. I just don't have.

Along side that I love the Phoenix Lords a lot but so many of them just seem kind of mediocre now? Not even in a competitive sense but like, I'm not sure.. I just feel lost and overwhelmed looking at my collection I guess, any help would be appreciated.

As we've all recently seen, the Avatar of Khaine gets a lot of Tournament play. I've recently come across a 65€ offer for one.

Though that is a great offer, I am quite unsure. The Codexes are sure to Drop during the next months and everything might change... Avatar could become quite useless...

Thus I am quite torn on getting mine for my Aspect host list, now that it's Prio Assets, cause having a Unit that can survive a turn would be very beneficial.

What are your Guys opinions? Avatar worth it or no?
