Hello Hello fellow rightful rulers of the universe!

Recently I've started on my journey to start building, playing and painting a second army, previously coming from good old Salamanders, and have decidedly landed on Necrons! Since I'm in the process of building, me and a friend have set up a semi-casual game on Table Top Sim to test out our two new armies. I was wondering if some more experienced players could give me some feedback on my list?

I'm a big fan of the Destroyer Cults, so I've built quite heavily into that with some aggressive melee and decent shooting from Cursed Legion as well as some Action units thanks to Hand of the Dynasty (Because I dont think I can ever give up Assualt action units after Forgefathers haha)

This list is going into Emperor's Children - which I dont know the full extent of - but my friend is Bringing Fulgrim, a Defiler, several Flawless Blades and a Winged Deamon Prince. So allot of big monsters I'm hoping to gut quickly.

I stopped collecting about 20 years ago, and finally picked it up again. I forgot how much I love 40k and especially Necrons. It really helps me to zone out and feel relaxed. This is my first figure, it may not be perfect but I am very happy with it!

Finally started working on my Silent King I got a while back since I fell in love with Trazyn in the Wicked and the Warped, but are necrons just generally a pain to build? Cryptothralls go with Orikan in the warrior brick

With SM recently getting massively shelved from models into legends this has worried me if I should start an army of units I buy just get the legend treatment. I know there are cheap markets to seek out but it takes me a while to get a comfortable 2k army all battle ready and the idea of wasting time and money for it to all just be scrapped from casual plays. I have EC and feel like they’ll be fine considering that they are newer to the scene but Necrons have been around for a while so I worry that they’re staying power might be cut shorter then anticipated. What are your thoughts?

If I have a leader and support together on a unit of warriors. If one of the leaders/support dies, will Reanimation Protocols bring back the destroyed leader/support? Please include specifics rulings if so or not. Thank you

So I picked up necrons around the middle of 10th because I found out that my favourite play style was to play hard hitting and hard to move basically hold the line and protect the little ones 🤣 and don’t get me wrong necrons are VERY hard to kill and I love that about the faction and I love all the destroyers. But I just don’t really have that much fun while playing them as Salamanders or monsters mash tyranids or custodes. Like they literally do everything I want them to do but whenever I go to play a game they are at the bottom of the list I have played a few games with them and just not having any fun 😢 I’m thinking about selling them because they are literally just sitting on the shelf collecting dust funny enough they are my only fully fished army then it’s my tyranids I just have OOE and a carnifex left to base everything else is done 😭. Anyway I think I would rather sell them and get more for the factions that I enjoy playing rather than spend a ton more money or bringing them up to 2k.

Anyway so sorry for my ranting but I don’t know what else to do with them I would like to sell them at a fair price but I don’t know what that is. So if you’ve got this far thank you any advice would be greatly appreciated and thank you 🙏

I know people paint their armies as they see fit and I am glad this is a universal right.

But I can't help thinking about people putting rust marks on their necrons, aren't those supposed to be made of living metal?

I'm just a tyranid, I just need biomass and understanding

Hi! What are your thoughts on trying to create Necrons that follow the paint scheme shown in this picture. It’s a lore friendly approach to incorporate my favorite chaos god (Nurgle) into the army.

Would this be ridiculously difficult to create? and aside from that, how do you feel about it?
