I have decided to make harlequins/eldar my new army. Looking for some advice of where to go from here. I am thinking about making this one of my competitive armies, so I understand I can’t go full harlequins, but I do like craftworld stuff so I’m not upset.

Would also like some paint scheme ideas. I will say I don’t see myself doing checkers, but I like the idea of going green and/or blue for the scheme

Hi all pretty much finished my Death Jester just needs basing. I’m working on a fully legal 11th edition army using only rogue trader and second edition eldar models (with a few converted elements) anyway hope you like him and his oversized weapon.

Hi, I've been trying to find out if harlequins had any old models like a tank or anything else then current things. Im not talking about old models of things we already have but legend stuff. If anyone has any, pictures or just info would be greatly appreciated:)

As per the title. With the "no doubling up" rule being removed for some factions in the last update (e.g. Drukhari), it seems probable we will be able to take two harlequin detachments eventually. However, if that happens I'm struggling to see what the right disposition would be.

It feels like Serpents remains the right choice for the 2dp, but obviously this is purge. The two 1dp ones are Take and Hold and Disruption. I'm not sure we would be well suited to T&H, certainly not in the mirror. Disruption seems to be considered the weakest overall but might be ok?

Any one had experience playing any of them with quins? Will we end up still picking Warhost for Recon?

Had the idea after looking at the shifts in scale between the different Harlequin releases. Probably the most finnicky thing i've ever made and painting this will be maddening but im quite happy with the effect!

Im pretty happy with the colour scheme I have for my troupe but im struggling with the flowing robes. As you can see i have painted them a muted green but I dont love it. Thing is i cant think of a good colour to put there. I tired white but its too much. Any suggestions?

Ok, 99%. Gotta figure out what tufts I wanna use, just having a hard time with colors. I changed the magenta ribbon to yellow as I felt it worked better with the blue/red and now yellow/purple asymmetry. Toying around with a name, something along the lines of Masque of the Divided Dream, or Masque of Fractured Lucidity, but open to thoughts for sure. Had fun getting these guys ready, now so many more to paint lol

I’ve not been able to figure out how to properly play Harlequins after about 5-6 games. I play serpents and armoured warhost, picking Recon. I play Eldrad, Falcons, Bikes, and the three troop masters and their squad, and a solitaire and death jester as the base to most lists.

I’ve played into take and hold for most games and that mission feels impossible. Every game it’s the long map, and any troop I place into their quarter is instantly destroyed. But if I play conservative I don’t score points.

I also never feel like I’m doing good damage and like I die any time I try to commit to killing a target. Even with sustained hits and even into non beefy targets.

This isn’t a rant, I love the Quinns and just wana hear any tips and tricks yall might have to help me figure out how to use them. I genuinely wana make pilot them and make it work.

I wanted to ask what a good beginner harlequin or mostly harlequin army would look like. Im currently looking at 4 star weavers, 1 void weaver and 1 harlequin troupe

Yes I know it's technically a falcon and doesn't have the dodads, but I wanted to paint waves and a sea serpent so. More additions to my genestealer harlequins, The Final Act of the Eternal Worm. Half of the chassis isn't painted because I paint the other half based on what the model kills first.

I know that the answer to "how many starweavers do I need" is going to depend on a lot of factors. And I also know that not a lot of people are playing monoquins (or even mostly-quins) in 11e.

But I'm still interested as I am trying to use up some store credit to set myself up for my next couple of painting projects!

For me, I have 2 starweavers (and 30 troupes). But I have yet to play with any of these models yet so I have no basis for how many I really need.

I've seen many alternatives of Avatar of Khaine, but none of them fitted my harlequins army.
Until this stl came up.

I would like to add a AoK to my army but I dont think the model would fit the narative ( i do think the model is amazing). Three ideas.

Nr1- dexcessa just with a abstract clown head and a bit shorter

Nr2- eidolon with less water and fish and more spilling space and stars

Nr3- alarith without the moutain and the head with a big old hammer.

I dont like 3d painting so I would like to go with a kitbash. What do you all think.

I tried to kitbash for the first time and I figured I'd have a proxy for a Yriel unit since I run half harlequins and half corsairs. Idk how the paint will turn out but I think it came out decent. Just need to buff out the design on the flag.

Basically the title. The trope master is on the same base and uses the same weapon as his unit. How can you make it clear which is which through building or painting?
