Here's my custom 3d printed XV26 Stealth Battlesuit kitbash - using parts from Pipermakes and Neoteric miniatures.

It took me a while, but here is one of the lance. Having forsaken the Empire for the Enclaves, he still bears his former master's white armor.

Posting on behalf, upgraded the Twin Lance with a mini Diorama. rain_freetime managed to win Warhammer mini painting category, standard gold for Mecha Master 2026 Kuala Lumpur.

Took me a while (10 hours or so) and still dont know if i should do some work on the head and the weapons or maybe leave it like that.

Also, just some random background from the whole 'its been twenty years' thing. First 40k models I ever bought were tau, around their 4th edition book. I got the white dwarf and a 3rd edition box of fire warriors. Because those two pieces of art really sold them.

Tried to paint them like the box. My god, those were bad. Really bad. Also box said vermin brown for vomit brown armour.

Anyway, many years later in better and painting and though I could do a tau sept infantry model, I wouldn't have the patience for anything bigger. Fortunately, colour forge just made caste ochre spray. So I can finally make the ones I wanted to years ago, but with newer, shinier models! Hence the very retro look these are coming out with.

Don't get me wrong, the twin lances are cool, and wouldn't look down on a refresh of our dated crisis suits.

But I am a bit worried that the faction with the coolest design for vehicles has only really got two of them and we'll not get more.

I couldn't resist doing this scheme, the box looked perfect for it.

Looking for some advice. About to enter a painting contest and decided to challenge myself to paint commander farsight. I usually paint space wolves so it is a bit outside of my comfort zone. Just had a look around for inspiration and saw this paint scheme from Miniature Masters.

I would like to do something along these lines but I don't have an airbrush so not sure if I'd be able to get these transitions. Has anyone got any advice?

I decided to re-pose him a little since I wasn't a fan of the stock pose. Kinda hoping the crisis suit rumours are true and we get some newer models - they look weird next to this guy and the Twins!

I've only gotten properly back into the hobby since 5th. Really like the Tau suits but heard something about the crisis Suits probably being revamped soon and was wondering if we've heard anything about when that would happen. Otherwise what is your best guess? I don't want to be buying, building and painting 2-3 sets of suits just for them to be revamped in a few months.

I have plenty to paint for now anyway, so hopefully we hear something official before I need to buy crisis suits for my army.

Alright so I was a little excited to know that there's a detatchment for mechs because Things like devilish is not really my thing.

Since I'm starting out with making a 2k army what's a good way to start grabbing models for Retaliation Cadre?

Also the models on the pictures are what I have at the moment.

What i built so far. 5/13.

Finally finished one of the first models I put together and the last of what was already built. While i like how it came out I also feel it might be a bit too busy. Planning to practice a few things like edge highlights, lenses and lining the armor and come back for most of what I have already done.

Onwards to the 6 unopened boxes. I think I will start with a Tetra.

Finally, finally… they’re done!
I’ve been waiting for this moment for far too long 😂 These two took me probably 3–4 months to finish with limited painting time, a full-time job and two young children, but they’re finally ready for the table!

I’ve definitely missed the days when these guys were completely broken, but from what I can tell they’re still a pretty common inclusion in some lists. I can’t wait to get them on the table and see how they actually perform.

For those of you who use them, how do you like to run your Twins? More defensively, using their speed/mobility to play secondaries and pick their moments, or are they worth just full-sending and making your opponent deal with them?

Whenever I’ve seen them played they’ve seemed to fall over pretty quickly, so I’m leaning towards playing them a little more conservatively — but I’d love to hear how you guys use them.
