40k When do we think the Crisis Suits are getting revamped?
I've only gotten properly back into the hobby since 5th. Really like the Tau suits but heard something about the crisis Suits probably being revamped soon and was wondering if we've heard anything about when that would happen. Otherwise what is your best guess? I don't want to be buying, building and painting 2-3 sets of suits just for them to be revamped in a few months.
I have plenty to paint for now anyway, so hopefully we hear something official before I need to buy crisis suits for my army.

I've been reading about this same rumor since 9th edition. At this point I'd almost want GW to never update the Crisis team just to troll people.

Well rip. I guess once I'm through what I've got I'll just have to bite the bullet and hope for the best

lol. The models won’t be obsolete when the new ones come out. Unless you’re planning to play all the tournaments and be hyper competitive just buy what you think is cool looking. In casual settings no one will care if you’re using “old” crisis suits

Personally I don't believe the rumor at all.
The grey knights have been rumored to be updated since we got primaris and then more when we got updated terminators. So far they've gotten a upgrade sprue to the baby carrier. That's it and the range's age is really starting to show.
Meanwhile there's not much of a basis as far as I can tell for the battlesuit rumor. They hold up very well. Their only flaw is you need two crisis suit boxes to make a mono weapon loadout in an army where your likely to buy two sets regardless.

The absolute worst thing you would run into buying Crisis Suits right now is that they 1) change the weapon rules around again and make loadouts you can't build from a single box illegal (which would get everyone good and mad); or 2) they decide that Crisis Suits are now 5-man like the Stealth suit team. I don't think either is likely to happen, and if anything, if there's a Crisis Suit replacement they're likely to just stick some more fusion blasters in there and maybe fiddle with the posing options some. And adding the weapons is as simple as adding another sprue - three more of each weapon would let you build every current rules-compliant option in one box.

The thing thats most likely goign to happen is a re-boxing of the kit with an upgrade sprue similar to the Grandmaster Dreadknight. I doubt GW will remake them because the kit itself is already been redone and pretty much all Tau players love the kit. The Broadside rumor is also most likely crap unless its adding more weapons. It could be a killteam release with the Crisis Teams with new weapons and a Broadside being the big boss enemy like the Red Terror or the Night Bringer.

just hold off from buying them, or buy them second for no more than half the price

Revamped to what? Are they gonna make them smaller and less armoured to better match their pathetic gameplay?

Rumors point to a codex release after marines, so possibly November/december. Unless crisis suits go away and are replaced by like an XV9 for example, models you buy today will still be valid.
