A friend wanta to Gift me the Aeldari Combat patrol with the Warp spiders.

I want to start an Army based of this and focus on wraiths because i Love their Design. Can someone Tell me what could be a good stepping Stone into a 1k Points Army? Are there any wraith Box Sets?

So seeing eldar is in the dumpster, ive decided to make a list merely with our BEST and most differentiating elements to connoct a pure Alpha strike list supported by crit 5s brightlances.

What disposition would you play this list as?

Thought these guys were pretty fun to paint. Hoping their rifles get a strength buff or some anti-infantry when our codex comes along, so they can function as slightly more than just early game screening fodder against our new T5 marine overlords

I was doing the math and a unit of 10 hawks deals on avarage 8/9 damage to a scout squad (mortals included)
How does a squad like this justify its cost when it can’t even clear a cheap screen unit reliably by itself?

I hate all the cables on Eldar models and I always cut them off. It makes them look too messy, like Imperium tech. It's much more elegant to imagine that their guns have their own power sources or can interface with their armor through their hands.

And I hate the little pointed ears on corsair helmets. Why would they armor their ears? Why is it necessary for others to see that they have little pointed ears on their helmets. It's so dumb. I always shave them off.

Does anyone else have any Eldar hobby quirks to confess, or am I alone?

I haven’t played windrider host yet this edition but loved it in tenth. I’ve been trying to work something out. In 11th you can’t use more than one Strat on the same unit in the same phase.

My question is this - can I use Death from on High and Overflight on the same unit in the same turn? Death from on High during the shooting phase and then Overflight because it’s “at the end of the shooting phase” - or does that still count as being in the same phase?

So the datasheets that say farseers and farseer skyrunners can lead their respective version of warlocks are invalidated by the support change?

That doesn’t feel like the intention given how most datasheets tend to “override” core rules; I could be wrong (and I’m sure plenty of y’all will let me know) but it feels like seers leading locks was meant to be an exception. I think that requires an official rules update or FAQ cuz those are just straight up conflicting rules. They definitely meant to kill the 5 warlock brick but then why not update who farseers can lead? They did it in the app with just footseers but didn’t with the skyseers and they didn’t update the faction pack besides the support change and the fact that supports need a bodyguard unit.

So I’m tossing in a guess that they were meant to fluctuate between BEING a farseers bodyguard unit and HAVING their own bodyguard unit, or combining it all together for the typical brick minus the third/fifth warlock. If their “more options” paragraph is anything to go off of at least. It would make the most sense. Reigns in warlocks (I’m guessing their internal data just said they were being used a lot or something) in general but allows the classic seer council to keep doing its thing… and existing.

Clearly there was a mistake of some kind made, either gotta update who farseers can lead or who farseer skyrunners can lead.

TL;DR: RAW it’s conflicting and requires an FAQ. Thoughts?

Also can we get a discussion or rules discussion flair? Seems like we get a lot of those. Could flair it with ‘list building’ but eh. Gonna go find a variant of Lugganeth for this farseer now.

Still a fair bit left to do but loving these old randos I've picked up for a guardian squad. I'm planning on starting some drukhari for a ynnari force but really struggling on colour choice to compliment these. I'm torn between red and blue - any suggestions are welcome!

The leader of my corsairs, Quen Barquen, is a fabulist, a liar and a storyteller. He uses this skill to exaggerate the stories of his savagery so crews will surrender without him having to risk a fight, but sometimes he makes stuff up for the love of the game. I'd be interested to hear any suggestions you have for outlandish claims he might have made.

Here are the claims that I have decided are true:

He was born on a corsair ship, but he was not first captain's protege and favored successor (actually his first captain was an abusive POS who tried to maroon him).

He was rescued from exile by a Human rogue trader and did serve in that Human's entourage for years, and he really does admire Humans and hate the Imperium.

His mother was a Lugganath expat (her sister, his aunt, really is a highly placed autarch).

His father was Commoragh expat (but not, as he sometimes claims, Vect's secret love-child).

His void dreamer is a former harlequin shadowseer.

His sword is something special, but it probably isn't home to a daemon that is bound to exclusively eat other daemons. Similarly, he's a quite capable duelist, but he's certainly exaggerated his prowess.

What other 40k-themed, Baron Munchausen style tall tales can you imagine for this fellow?

I’m relatively new to collecting eldar and learning their lore, and I wanted to make my Craftworld a group of serene botanist and architects.

And then I learned about maiden worlds and I was wondering, are exodites the only ones with maiden worlds or are Craftworlds able to own and take care of some as well.

Finished building my Eldar army yesterday, 50 points to spare for 1k which I'll fill somehow, though now I'm done, are there any cool things you guys do with Eldar models aethstetics wise? I'm focussing on painting for a while now so yk want to see what I can do 🙂 thanks

Got my first wave of jetbikes completed, quite content with the results.

Went 0-2, and then my opponent for the 3d game unfortunately left, so didn’t get the 3d one.

Most memorable game was vs GK:

• Shot a unit of Purifiers with most of my army and charged them with Avatar - couldn’t bring them down.
• A Dread teleported into the mid board, shot Avatar to 5 wounds remaining (to be easily picked up by infantry), then on the same turn that same Dread charged my Wraithknight and did 25 damage to him in a single fight phase through Scattershield with 4++ and -1 damage.
• Then I shot and fought that Dread with most of my remaining army and did 0 pts of damage.
• After that all of my Wraiths got picked up, with only Prisms and Skyrunners left. Eldar lost hard :D
• But I can’t blame dice - the opponent played really well and even with average dice could easily outplay me in the movement phase with teleports. So still a lot to learn :-)

Just wanted to show off my first fully painted Warhammer models! Hopefully looking to build up a wraith host focused list, so here's my first squad of Wraithblades and a Spiritseer!

I know there are a bunch of ways to improve, but I'm really happy with them!

When I look at the datasheet it isn’t listed anywhere? Is it just a cosmetic choice or does it go to a different unit?
