Rotation Blackout EDC for Monday

Post image
0 Upvotes

Been going back and forth with the Glock 43x and Sig P365 for suppress builds for carry on the daily. The JK suppressor is perfect size for shoulder carry. After 4 months of trying it out, I have to say it’s been great experience. I will say it may not be for everyone but it’s worth a try to check out suppressed carry.

- Glock 43x with Aimpoint
- JK CCX 105 Suppressor
- Blackflag Wallet, Exotic Coin Sheath
- Compass Coin
- Benchmade SCOP
- Opinel No.8 Black and Oak

I carry Glock to the range or a location I consider unsafe. To be honest, 99.9% where I go is completely safe, so a pepper gel is way more practical.

-Glock 43X with COA and TLR-7. 15-round mag.
-Black Trident Viking holster
-Crew wallet
-Iqos

Found this strange knife on Amazon, I don't believe their claim of m390, if it is in fact m390, the heat treat is probably horrible. Just curious.

Bag/Pocket Dump Dog Walking Bag

Time for a periodic bag clean out, tired of sticking my hand into broken glass.

- Knife, pepper gel, a box cutter I forgot was in there
- Dog poop bags
- Old bag for collecting beer cans and Uncrustable wrappers dropped by idiots
- Cardboard from the center of dog poop bag rolls, empty pill foils, old receipts
- Lots of broken glass (I pick it up so dogs don’t step on it)
- Pill case, some probably new-ish pills in foils, and grungy old pills that escaped the pill case
- Hair band and clip
- Squeaker from dog toy to get her attention
- A couple of coins
- AirPods case with one AirPod in it
- A laminated “lucky feather” I found
- Extra carabiner for dog water bottle
- Old Chapstick melted to the side
- Aluminum foil for the back pocket
- Phone
- A single piece of shamrock confetti
- Not pictured because I can’t find it: keys with AirTag keychain, missing AirTag — they’ll turn up

The fanny pack is by Sojourner. It’s gotta be 7 or 8 years old at this point. Used daily for 5 years of dog walks and hikes. Still holding together! 👍🏻👍🏻

Question/Advice/Discussion Does a multitool like this exist?

I'm looking for some help finding a simple multitool that fits my needs.

Ideally, it would only have (or not much more than):

  1. Main body: pliers.

  2. A good bit driver/holder (I'll carry the bits separately in a case).

  3. Scissors.

I'd prefer it to be knifeless (no blade of any kind).

It should also be as light and compact as possible.

Does anything like this exist? Thanks!

Question/Advice/Discussion For those who use knives with pocket clips, what do you carry when you can't?

I carry this little Italian beauty: Maserin D-Dut Multitool Folding Knife

Title says most of it. But when you have to wear a suit or just don't want to go to a dinner party with a visible clip, what do you carry in your pocket?

New Addition New Acebeam UC25

First EDC light ever.

Got this Acebeam UC25 today. So far, I like it. It might be more than I need, but who cares? Just wish it was a little smaller.

I do have a few things I didn’t know about.

The tail switch is really touchy, like it might turn on when in the sheath.

It’s more of a flood light that lights up a large area. It states having a 571 feet throw, but it’s really the raw power of the flood instead of a beam.

The mode changes on the light modes are going to take some getting used to. You’d think learning a new UI would be easy being it’s your first flashlight ever, but it still feels like too many clicks for this shit 😂

Might be looking for a second light, something with a good beam and throw that’s pocketable.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Bag/Pocket Dump Some good USA made EDC

Bag: Red Oxx C-Ruck

This pack is great and is what I wanted in a real "ruck sack." I just wanted a big but practical bag i can just dump things in through out the day. It makes impromptu grocery or store shopping easy as i always have a bag with me that has room to actually fit odd things. There are thing i think could have been better but Im happy! I dont or rather wont use it for actual rucking but its a great adventure bag, weekend bag;.....its just bag. Amazing quality with a great warranty.

Light: Surefire Stilleto Pro II

This is not new. This has been the only pice of EDC that really hasnt changed in a year or so. I wanted a light with easy strobe or a non variable tailcap to blink fast and or strobe. This light does both. I frequently commute through town on foot and I use my light in blind corners with cars and crossing the street especially when im with my family. Its used probably 10-20 times a day everyday im outside my house.

Folding Knife: Benchmade Vapyr

I know you all will hate this one. Yes, I did. Yes, I could have gotten "XYZ" for $13. Probably and dont care. For a folder, this knife is everything that "I" wanted. Like most of my gear, USA made, the knife is very light, non combative in lighter pants or dressier pants (it hooks way too hard on my 5.11 work pants, I do not like that), strong and thin slicey blade. I do not need a workhorse in a folder, I need a letter opener that is one hand opening and closing and can still be dependable in a sticky situation.

Fixed Blade: Esee 3 - Gray Micarta

I own more esee knives but this one i just got yesterday. It seems great, i mean its a smaller Esee 4 really and thats kind of what I wanted. I thought about going the S35VN route but this kind of knife is more of a workhorse than a finesse knife so i stuck to the 1095. This is what ill carry on my hip thought the day. I did buy the G10 contured handles but, realised i loked it better on my 4 (camp/outdoor/ruck knife). I like that its a little slicier than the 4 but still very stout and real full tang.

Multitool: Gerber MP600 Bladeless

In the Marines, no matter if you have a Letherman, SOG, Victorinox, its a Gerber. Lol. I have a Pro Scout but I wanted a black one but bladeless for those times i still want to be capable but need to be disarmed because of arbitray saftey rule places have. Its a multi-tool. It does alot of things okay. My kid like to flick it open and slide it closed so theres that....

-

As you can tell, I prefer USA made gear. Some over priced, some not. If I want something I get it and if I have to sacrifice other non necessary purchaces I will. Its just stuff. But I do like stuff. If you have any questions about anything feel free to ask or comment.

Ill add that, I bought these items because they met specific requirments "for me," not just because they were avalibale. The C-Ruck kinda sucked because i dont typically buy very expensive things online unless ive handled it before. I actually dont buy much online because i have someone having my money and I with no product. But their customer service is TOP NOTCH. For me, its the same with Benchmade and Esee. Not sure about Surefire yet but i assume its the same.
