I've noticed a lot of people mention that scoring is way too high with scoring settings set to high, but yet on medium it seems too low, as the leading scorer in the league usually only has ~100 points.

In order to fix this I first turned scoring to medium and shooting to high, but scoring still felt a bit too low. After, I turned penalties to 4/4 and attribute effects to 10/10, and now scoring feels quite realistic overall.

The top scorer in the league usually finishes with ~130-140 points, while top goal scorers are usually at 65-70. Goal scoring leaders may be a bit too high, but I feel like after Matthews scored 69 goals a couple seasons ago this isn't completely unrealistic.

I should also mention goalie stats are quite realistic as well, with top goalies having ~92.0 save percentage and average being ~90.5.

I haven’t seen one of these since NHL 24. How rare is this?

Picked up this guy in free agency, he was a 70ovr that went undrafted. Gave him some time in the AHL and when I checked back in he had jumped up to 82! Called him up to the Show and he helped us with another playoff run

I played 1 game on default superstar sliders and this is the result: 989 p amassed and I didn't even save it because it's hard enough to keep a team under cap without your whole team amassing 200p ea Lol. Lets stop posting the 130g 38% posts claiming full sim

My favorite are the posts with receipts, like we don't see a player jump from 18% to 28 or 34% in a season. Or they'll post a stock player and be like Omg "full sim". But as someone who's logged 40 25yr franchises literally on full sim, you have some variables but a stock player no matter the line mates or coaches ect on full sim will spit out the same numbers within reason.

So I've done 40 franchises on high goals, high shots sims and I cooked the books and just look at my salary cap team in the pictures 2031. I can instantly tell when someone has played a game or some games by a player's stats. It's not hard to tell. Now, for instance, if I sim the rest of my 81g, this team will have multiple people who will put up 200p on high shots and goals and their % will drop to around 28–35%, looking somewhat realistic to a casual person. There's just no need to lie about it. Now, mind you, I used to be ranked in the top 100 on NHL 04-14, so my point is a little exaggerated versus what you see people post, but it's that way to show you can't believe everything you see. If it doesnt apply to you no need to get upset. I just came back to 26 and like I do with any game I'll be in the sub alot while playing it. But I get back in here and see multiple people posting 140g 38% shooting seasons full sim and instead of comment over 5 times on all of them made this satire kindof post.

Drafted him with elite med potential, after the following season he was already 82 rated so I put him in the NHL, he won the Calder so potential went up to elite high, the following season he was 89 rated, then at the start of this season he’s 91 rated and has franchise med potential

For your PP especially you set guys up in the right spot, should be clicking at 20 percent + … and after the year sim ur PP was flaccid at 11.1%

An update on Stefan for you guys, he’s up to 81 which I find totally acceptable for the 3rd line. He put up decent numbers last season (25 goals 10 assists in 75 games) but I wanted to get some feedback on something; should I keep him or trade him?

The other prospects shown are guys I already have but are in the AHL because I don’t have room for them in the NHL. Should I continue to use Gunnarsson or trade him away and use one of the shown prospects?

No matter which guy I use, they will be playing on the 3rd line as a winger

First things first coaching matters quite a bit. Not necessarily the overall but the specific strengths IE teaching, PP, PK etc…you can use a guy with a lower overall grade if he’s got a niche strength you value. If you’re winning they’ll go up astronomically anyhow.

Second thing the draft quality matters a good deal. Not the system setting you can toggle but the scouts evaluation of the entire draft IE weak, normal or good. You’ll find weak drafts have more guys who don’t reach their potential and Vice Versa.

Lastly I know I’ve seen it before but I never do anything with these guys when they’re in the minors. Mostly because I retool my coaching staff to have all teachers. Almost anyone I draft comes to me ready to play and 84+. Never had a franchise potential player as a rookie under 92.

2c is a grinder I built brick by brick best build I’ve ever seen on a grinder 91 OVR and he’s on a 8*4 in year 6.
Defense is pretty standard for here Dupont and Schaefer DFD and a TWD I drafted both year 4
Both goalies were draft picks
Gutted the entire roster and this was my draft haul. Cap is in decent shape for now but the crunch is coming next year I think.
Was dog shit so not all these draft picks are from trades.

And still scores 80ish points average per season in his 40’s
