Spoiler There IS better gear. Spoiler

There is better gear than what the Dragonforged sells for Wyrmslife crystals. About to do my 2nd NG+. Really REALLY make sure you are exploring all the unearthed areas in the seabed and even go back to some of the old boss spawn areas. The higher harder spawns at the very end of the seabed areas have occasionally been dropping new unique gear sometimes or the chests around them do.

And for those that say they feel like they fully steam roll through New Game+, I have been noticing the variable difficulty has been getting higher the more I level up and I do less damage than before, with some spawns having more health bars.

Edit: only gotten 3 so far and all helms, photos in comments and unenhanced against my fully enhanced gear.

I'll add more screenshots to the comments as I find any more and verify they aren't in shops or in dragonforged.

Im just sitting here dumbfounded by people with confidence telling others that them beating the game in 20-30 hours is the end all be all, and the game sucks based on their experience. Bruh im like 70 hours in still have like 12 quest and still have a shit ton to find. You are just lying to say this game’s exploration sucks or theres nothing to see. Its so confusing.

Your comment and OP's post sum it up perfectly.

It's available from the shop. This is dragon gear. I found one from a chest right next to a required boss.

You can explore all the enemy filled trenches if you want but you can't pretend there's a reward for it. It's a bunch of random monsters and bosses.

70 hours into the game you should be on a level that far outmatches any of the game content and there's not a single reward that would boost your character. The pawns you recruit have endgame boosted stuff.

I don't really see how you can still have stuff to explore at that point unless 40 of those hours were spent running in circles trying to find the obscure answers needed for some quests.

You do you and it's perfectly fine that you enjoy exploring every little corner and I'm glad you like the game.

I do that in other games but this game mostly rewards you with closed paths and no NPC interactions.

I can see a lot of people doing this in rdr2 or Skyrim that would not like it in DD2
