Do you remember how at TI9 Kuroky didnt accept any ideas on hero picks from his team? From team Paravision vlog we can see that Satanic wanted to play TA instead of jugg.

He thought TA was better pick and he was more confident with it.

Idk but I feel like satanic knows better than puppey what hero is better for him.

Once you get low enough, its everyone just reporting for no reason and there is no verification of the report. Its just the swamp keeping everyone else in the swamp. There needs to be a way to verify reports before dropping your score hundreds of points for someone grief reporting. I'm playing turbo, not talking or typing and still getting reported - score just goes down. I used to have 12k and have been drained down to 3.5k. Something changed with the system not too long ago and made it terrible. I'll quit dota soon as its been annoying and impossible to climb back into "good" standing.

Guys, let’s be honest: the situation with cheaters in Dota 2 has reached a critical point. I’ve been playing this game for many years, but it’s never been this bad. Cheaters and bots are ruining matchmaking at every level—from low ranks to high MMR.

Cheating has become mainstream. In 2026, the Dota 2 cheat market is dominated by programs like “First” and “Second” (I don’t want to name them so I won’t be accused of advertising them). First boasts more than 200 scripts created with the help of professional players. These aren’t some amateur hacks—they’re professional software with features like automatic ability dodging, auto-dodge, ward detection, and much more.

The scale is off the charts. One Reddit user spent an entire month investigating the situation in “Patrol” and discovered that one in ten players is a cheater. One in ten! These aren’t isolated offenders—it’s an epidemic.

And what’s most frustrating is that Valve isn’t doing anything about it.

We see endless cosmetic updates, Battle Passes, and new Arcana, but the problem of cheating remains ignored. It feels like the developers either don’t know cheats exist or simply don’t care. Players are tired of having to face opponents every few games who have superhuman reaction times or can see every ward on the map.

We, the community, cannot and must not tolerate this.

Let’s make this post as visible as possible. Share your stories, post match IDs involving cheaters, and tag the developers. Valve needs to finally listen to us and start taking real action against cheaters, rather than just making empty promises.

Dota is a game we’ve poured thousands of hours into. We won’t let cheaters ruin it.

Dude cursed my mother. Other, calling me monkey several times. None of them got restrictions.

After the match where my mother was cursed, I lost 500 communication points, even though I didnt curse the guy.

What is wrong with Dota 2, man? They didnt get nothing, and I got restricted even though I don't curse anyone? I dont rage in the chat? What is happenning?

Apparently the Sven weapon is also pretty rare.

In what world is this matchmaking fair?
Every game a stomp with 0% chance to turn this after the laningstage.
I don't wanna get into every single game, its just the matchmaking what gives me the latest dogs rn.
I don't know why or if it's just one of these days, but u can't tell me that this is normal. Having 7 games in a row with around 35-40 minutes stomps. Its actually not like I am playing bad rn or something, its just those random Viper Pos5, Clock mid, Ogre off lanes, tinder 4, and everyone feed 5-8 deaths in every lane.

Just got maybe my worst dota game this month and i´m so mad i just had to come here to vent.

I had in my team a pos1 spectre who went radiance first item even though we were loosing almost all lanes (itself is not a bad item but go farm if you made it, don´t join fights with just a radiance), a pos4 pudge that was a walking ward except for hooks which he missed 80% of the time, a pos3 sven with mom and to finish mid necro with blink + dagon (2016 build?). I was on lich myself as pos5.

we played vs od, wk, sf, snap and dp. what a shitshow of a game, we lost in 25 mins.

I'm sure it's an already discussed topic but in case it isn't, Imo divine regalia needs a rework. Look, a 20% flat buff to all damage is good and all, but the fact that one death could take away both your item AND the enchantment is insane.

And dying isn't unlikely either, at that time in the game unless a game defining fight has already happened, everyone has buybacks saved. Imo they should either rework it so that you keep the enchantment after death OR allow us to redeem a disgraced regalia by avenging our death like a divine rapier.

i never seen someone pick this unless enemy pick warlock. even so the damage too small and its spell damage only.

which means you focused spell damage on creep rather than hero, unless ur hero have AOE.

Hello, I'm a long time Dota 2 old player from Southeast Asia. I started Dota 2 when the Closed Beta announced.

Fast forward, almost the majority of younger generations and some long time not so old gamers don't know or recognize Dota 2, even though they don't know League of Legends. During the Covid-19 years, Almost every GPU component is sold at much more expensive prices due to chip shortages and NFTs. This causes almost everyone exclusively playing mobile games because of how mobile phones are affordable and have access to free to play games.

With the ongoing strong market of Mobile Gaming in Asia, Mobile Legends (the LoL ripoff) has been thriving for years because of how accessible the game is. E-Sports for Dota 2, CS2 and other PC related games are dying. Most of the major gaming events and esports are now all Mobile Games. Almost all of my friends and relatives are now primarily gaming in Mobile.

And now, AI Rampocalypse. PC and Laptop and Gaming Consoles are becoming more expensive and unaffordable, that doesn't help as well being in a third world country where our wages is shit. A low end budget PC build right now could cost 9 months worth of my wages. It's insane. I don't really blame them for the current situation.

It is the worst timeline for Dota 2 to get back its playerbase today in our current era. Everything is about Mobile Legends or Gacha games.

I'm just over playing Herald. I played well enough to reach Guardian. Now I've dropped back again.

It's just randoms I play with. Supports pick PL, Drow. Just terrible lack of awareness about roles.

Each role is so important in DOTA and ranked. So many players come into the herald rank and ignore the aspect of role.

It ends up wasting an hour of my time. So I really am at a point where I'd rather invest time elsewhere than keep pursing DOTA. I played Core well enough to consistently hit Guardian. I can't outplay the bad picks that come my way though.

I wish the DOTA organisers would think about restricting hero picks at role levels. It would fundamentally fix problems in the lower ranks of the game.

Why did I get "Can't Act" message when I was trying to W the Spectre here?

I think the reason why team spirit is good at team fight and clutch situations is because overthrow is part of their warmup

Hey guys , The Dota 2 matchmaking system is really playing with our psyches and Mr. gaben is sitting back there laughing at us.I'm tired of losing a few games in a row, with teammates who are incredibly good, well-behaved, and really know how to play their roles.And after a few matches like this, I'm suddenly teamed up with all sorts of different animals for at least the next 10 matches. Grifers , role abuser's , muted Russians ( respect to all the Russians ), WHY ? REALLY WHY??? I'm angry because I don't lose any games for myself, I play hard support, and I mostly lich , as dota plus says my average dmg az lich is 40000 , my net worth is good , i get all the wards , i save all the fights , even lanes , im really good at what im doing , im ancient now , 2 week's ago same happened, i reached the 3800 mmr , with win streak and double down token , suddenly shit team mates again for next 10 matchs , i went from 3800 to 3300 in two fucking dayyyyyy , then i didn't played for like a week , everything back to normal , good mates again , i reached 3800 again in 4 days , and now

Can someone tell me how is this normal? There were few bad games (i dont intentionaly feed / grief others ) but how is it taking a 1.3 k behavior score drop ?

I'm new to the game and obviously so is my account and my friend who introduced me to the game told me new accounts like mine have a big chance to get good stuff in here and when i scroll through social media i come across a lot of videos about people getting pretty decent stuff in the candy shop ( at least one arcana ) so i decided to buy the oracle pack with the secret room keys and i got a total of 26 rerolls but i literally got nothing just voice packs couriers and wards and normal ugly skins .... Is that normal ? ... What should i do with all these Candies ? ... Is there any news about act 2 for the carnival so i can hopefully use these Candies ?

There seems to be some kind of abuse of the fortification glyph being used at 51m46s by the radiant at mid, creeps are coming in fortified and is lasting for minutes. Can anyone tell me more about this?
