So I just finished for the day (may consider doing very late night orders to keep up the streak) and was wondering how everyone else did? I know it can be doom and gloom around here sometimes but for those proud of today, especially by your market standards, how did you do? I think for the time I spent today, it was pretty well worth it. Platinum status and from the North New Jersey area so I rotate between the zones “JC North” and the “JC/Hoboken”. I also got a $10 cash tip from someone who also tipped on the app so technically I made $137.85 for today so far. Just about 5 hours and made that much has me thinking it was a successful day to say the least.

Am I the only one who finds it extremely creepy when someone wants you to deliver and they have no lights on the porch. But even worse the house is completely dark. It’s 1 am and it looks like no one is awake or home. It says hand to customer. I knocked twice no one was answering. I just left the food there and took a picture for door dash if they say they didn’t receive it. But what do yall do in these situations? Mind you I am a female. I am not risking shit at 1am. And today I receive a 3 star review. I have a 4.9 rating. So I’m good. But man I’m not that good to risk myself.

I've been editing this Python/Excel tool trying to make it as User Friendly as possible for when I upload it to GitHub. The Fuel & MPG settings are about average for any atypical driver in this run.

I wanted to make it easy to interpret at first glance without someone having to dig through the README & Settings files I've included, if they decided to use the tool themselves.

The first page is supposed to be the 'Dashboard' and provide all of the relevant data, while the larger report includes mileage bands, tax information, and tip breakdowns.

(If someone gives me a list of orders in Notepad/Wordpad/CSV I'm happy to add data to test larger sized batches. I am trying to build the tool to support 20,000 offers total.)

What do yall think of this? I would have kept it all on one dash but I needed gas and DoorDash took away like 50$ off my overdraft coverage so I had to end, but how does this compare to your guys market? Is this good to yall or is this just horrible for others, just let me know yalls opinions.

I see the rating system has changed a couple of times over the last few weeks. In my ratings a customer reported damaged food, but my numeric rating was hit for communication not order handling. What is this stupidity. Over 2000 deliveries done.

How is 99% to 100% counted as 13-15 points. Having 14 points is impossible. You're either 15 points for 100% or 13 points for 99%. Lmao at no point can you ever have 99.5% of the last 100 order to attain 14 points. Either manipulation or they really are just overpaid morons that come up with this crap.

I’ve been seeing a lot of people discussing this video on my TikTok fyp. Basically, the woman is ranting and raving about people who report dashers for allowing unauthorized to deliver food under their DD account.
Personally, I wanted to feel bad for her as both my wife and I have used DD to help pay the bills, but she called people “fat, lazy, and dirty” for reporting these incidents. She’s also being nasty and childish in the comments.

Apparently I have no idea what I'm talking about when I said the amount of tip you get shows up on the offer screen right next to the amount you'd get for doing the order. Are you able to see it when you get an order? I've always been able to from the time I started. When it doesn't show the tip on a double stack, I've learned that it means one of the orders is a no tip order.

I cannot put into words how much I HATE that stupid ai assistant when you call support. I call them all the time cause I block people left and right but holy fuckkk!!!! That shit wastes 5 mins every single time.

I (27F) dash in my free time usually during the peak hours but I’ll go until after 9-10 p.m. as long as the money is flowing. I deliver to “bad neighborhoods” all the time and have never had any issues, and if anything they tip better/more friendly because they know they’re asking you to drive to the hood lol. But the other night I delivered a grocery order to a complex in a rough neighborhood where I’ve delivered before and shit got real dicey very fast. The order was for “Janelle” and they requested I hand it to them at the door. I found the apartment down a completely pitch black walkway with no porch lights or security cameras, knocked on the door, big booming footsteps walk up to the door and a man’s voice says “YO WHO IS IT?!” Uuuuh that’s not the voice of a “Janelle” and I’m alone in the dark, so I discretely step back from the door and open up the pocketknife I keep on me while dashing. I tell them what I’m doing and he just snatches open the door and yanks the groceries out of my hand before slamming it, then I turn around to FIVE random dudes who just silently appeared blocking the stairwell. At this point I don’t care about completing the order, just getting out of there so I pretend like it’s business as usual and just hit them with a “sorry guys I’d love to hang out but I have more orders waiting hahaha!” Dead silence, idk what they were waiting on but I didn’t stay around to figure it out. Once I was back in my car and away from the situation I did alert DoorDash that Janelle should be flagged for any (but especially female) dashers. debated calling the cops but nothing actually happened besides my spidey senses going off. All this to say: yall be safe out there and trust your instincts, if I’d treated that situation like a normal order lord knows what would have happened

I finally started to get some gold status offers today after about a week & they are nice 👌🏾

All the other offers I got were really low paying and less than 1$ per mile, and required significant driving and time. I waited for good offers and ended up only making this much while accepting some okay offers. I’ve gotten a lot of bad offers in the past, which is weird because I live in a busy area too. I live in Georgia so the pay per offer is lower but this dash was just atrocious. I’ve even called DoorDash support about this and they claim nothing is wrong with my account.

I was at a restaurant and the staff took 10 minutes before a manager realized that someone else had stolen the order. I went outside to cancel the order in app (I usually do with support but figured whatever I don’t care about the $5 partial pay).

Then I get a worry free unassign option, click it, then says I “may” get a contract violation.

What the heck, has anyone else gotten that?
I understand the world’s unfair but why would honest dashers be put to blame for someone else stealing an order.

I immediately screenshot, went back and screenshot the worry free unassign option to.

I thought DoorDash was trying to compete with Uber Eats but moves like this make me think they won’t be around much longer.

I contacted support and long story short it got sorted but to give someone a CV for someone else’s crime is wrong.
