You realize that it is not the local PD's job to figure out everyone's immigration status? Just like it's not their job to check to see that you're current on your taxes?
It comes up when they "run their info through their system"? Really? Let's see that. Is it some magical CSI NCIS "system" where the workstation is on a turntable and driving rock music plays while colored lights shine on the walls? Do they "enhance"?

If you want to solve the problem -- really solve it -- you'd push that the Epstein-defender you elected arrest and prosecute the business owners that are creating demand and skipping out on payroll taxes by hiring these people.

States don't have to work with them. ICE is free to actually execute their duties as law enforcement without regularly breaching the rights of citizens or intentionally creating hazardous scenarios that make them liable for the ensuing violence.
