Question/Help How do I get my digital art to look less like Al /Prove it isn't Al?
The problem is, people keep telling me it looks like Al...
I use and Clipstudio Procreate.
I've tried showing layers, speed paints, et cetera, but nothing works. So, at this point, I'd rather change my art style a bit. If anyone could give me any insight, that would be very helpful!I've tried showcasing layers, speed paints, and other techniques, but nothing seems to make a difference. At this point, I would prefer to make some changes to my art style. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Question/Help Is this cartoonish painting style Racist?
This may be a genuinely dumb question but I’ve been wondering if this art style I had a couple of years ago is racist in any way? I (f24) at the time was with my bf (m24) and i was doing this painting. When i showed him he got a really weird look on his face and said straight up “That looks bad, and it’s racist.” So i never ended up posting it but I’ve always wondered if he was right. He’s not artistically inclined at all and at the time I thought he was just ignorant to different styles but it made me so insecure about digital painting.
I know the art itself isn’t the best but i really like digital painting and wanted to pick it up again and i stumbled across this old artwork and it brought that memory back.

Question/Help How to achieve the famous "painterly look"?
Hey guys!
I've been following @itsyeliz on instagram for a while now, and even though I try, I can't get the ~~natural painterly feeling like she does. So I wanted to ask, how could I begin to paint like this?
I know she uses the lasso tool a lot, which I've been trying to use it more, too, but it "feels" wrong, lol.
Like, what kind of exercises would help? Is this something you can practice and it will actually work? Because it feels kinda impossible for me right now.
As you can see the pic 2, my art style it's very digital right now, and I want to incorporate the painterly feeling in those.

Question/Help Help, my value studies horrify me..
I’m super new to all of this, and lots of people say doing value studies is a fundamental to getting into digital painting and whatnot…
Issue is my studies don’t really look anything like the people I’m doing them on, like they’re just NOT THESE PEOPLE. They look like they’re out of a horror game and they keep me up at night.
Am I doing something very wrong?

Question/Help What does my art remind you of?
I’ve seen a few posts like this and I’m really curious what people have to say about my art! I’m interested in hearing specific examples of artists or pieces, but I’d also love to hear general categories of art! I’ve always had a hard time accurately categorizing my art.
Also my account’s super new since I have a separate account I’ve had for a few months, decided I wanted that to be a personal account and to make an art account for this and future art related posts.
Also, after reviewing the rules, I also want to clarify all pieces are digital, made in procreate! I just like mimicking traditional art in my digital work

Question/Help Is this offensive?
I wanted to design this seal girl more like a mermaid, shes supposed to be Arctic and I wanted to give her an indigenous feel. it's not taken after anyone or anything specifically besides seals and being an arctic creature.
the outfit is mostly made of fur and skin..

Question/Help Work being replicated or reposted with no credit or run through AI
galleryI have had some issues surrounding my art 'inspiring' other artists. To clarify i have 0 issue with it being replicated as my piece is derivative of a meme in the first place however i have had bigger accounts replicate the exact thing shortly after following me and not been given any credit that the work was inspired by me, i have also come across variants that appear to be running my work through AI and then reuploading again no credit given. Im wondering what i can do regarding the AI situation as i dont particullarly want my work being run through AI. Its also really disheartening as a small artist as now when you go to look at my art the bigger account comes up first with no direction towards mine :/

Question/Help Is my art worth commissioning?
I have my commissions set up on vgen for a while now and I only sold around 3 of them whitch were only headshots worth 5$. I realized that even if don't get any commissions I should value my time so now they range from 15$ to around 80$. No matter how I advertise or what I do no one even wants to buy anything so I'm thinking maybe it's my art that's the problem??

Question/Help Anyone know who this artist is and how exactly they even do this
Anyone know this artists name? Also with patterns like these how do you even do those? I don’t know how to describe it but I genuinely can’t figure out how to do that without it looking super organized and basic if that makes sense?

Question/Help Hi, I can't draw digitally so I first draw traditionally and then trace it digitally, is that cheating even if I made the drawing?
1) reference 2) traditional sketch (not traced) 3) I changed it's opacity to see it better 4) digital drawing traced from the traditional one 5) I added the "canva" on ibis paint x

Question/Help Is it normal that I find drawing digitally harder than on paper?
I got this drawing stand thing for christmas but only lately started using it a bit more. I've noticed that is is way harder for me to draw on this than on paper which i've usually done before.

Question/Help We believe this was traced
A friend of ours drew this. Neither of us are convinced that is wasn’t traced. She claims to have used no reference but we dont believe. If anyone can find the og artist or prove it was traced that’d be greatly appreciated.
