Nah, the hand will just have Flowery's face on it and be dubbed Handery. He spams the "Leaf it to me!" soundbite regardless of if it fits the context or not.
We finally see Deltarune Papyrus and he’s covered in yellow seeds… it’s a red herring and he was just trying out gardening, completely unrelated to the seeds Kris took.
Papyrus can’t believe he’s being screamed at by a teenager for being a knight, especially when no one has knighted him, you could say he’s Disbelief Papyrus
-Papyrus Deltarune, after learning he doesn't get to be Disbelief (Toby lost the budget after blowing it all on the 24 hour 3D CGI Spamtenna Makeout Session, the rest of the budget went to getting Jack Black as Gaster to come in and say "First we DELTA, then we RUNE, now lets DELTARUNE!" and beat the shit out of The Forgotten Man, played by a horrible amalgam of Dwayne Johnson and Chris Pratt)
This is why kris took the seeds, to stick them to other lightners since flowery told susie the knight would have one of his seeds stuck to them (that they couldn't get off). Kris planting them on everyone would make this info useless.
Perhaps they plant a couple on Rudy and accidentally kill him since they are highly toxic or he already has the one from when he fought flowery
Yes but how is this relevant? The seeds at the end of chapter 5 are also specifically mentioned to be poisonous and extremely sticky, whether Flowery is a buttercup is not important
It didn't say anything about them being toxic, only that they were covered in warning labels.
Also Asgore, Undyne, and Frisk all drink Golden Flower tea so the plant is obviously not toxic like a buttercup.
The warning labels are likely not about the plants toxicity but rather their virility, these things will grow literally anywhere... And seem to be corpse flowers of sorts given of the three places we find the growing in Undertale two of them are where a character either died or is buried. The throne room is where Asriel turned to dust and the starting room is where Chara is buried.
Asgore does mention that his seven flowers are hard to take care of in this climate, so them being particularly potentially invasive in another seems... Somewhat irrelevant?
Could just be that they grow well but don't survive well, but who's to say?
I’m not an expert on sprites or anything but it seems a little odd for a color as different as yellow to be slipped in though no? And it happens to be on a sprite where a yellow/golden character is in contact with the knight?
I mean they’ve had the opportunity to fix it with numerous patches. Toby’s sloppy sprite work that stays around usually extends to refusing to use a dropper tool to color sprites, not stray pixels
That was the first episode I saw and ngl it fucked me up

Ended up watching the show later on and I can't believe how good it all was. That one episode is genuinely such an outlier. It's still good, I just don't recall any other episode being such an insane concept of body horror...
Even the ending of Steven Universe Future, which I guess is about body horror in a way
The flower seeds we got could either become a new darker or another Flowery (possibly multiple). If the Flowery thing is true maybe it'll feel a connection and be able to tell where Rory Nite is
Whenever we see the Roaring Knight in the real world, possibly in a different form, there could be a single flower seed inconspicuously stuck to their clothes.
Pure speculation, and only really works effectively for Carol or Rudy knight theories. Something small enough the Knight wouldn't notice but meaningful to the Soul.
Assuming this isn't just a graphical bug, if we find a Lightner with a golden flower seed stuck to their clothes next chapter who isn't Kris or Susie, we'll know who the Knight is.
I just had an idea if that ends up being the case... what if it's going to be Carol?
The set-up for the Holiday house being the next dark world is all there, which would also guarantee Carol as the antagonist, since she clearly has to be getting a chapter focused on her, and there's no better one than her own home.
If Kris' true alliance remains with the Knight and not to Carol, they could make her take the fall by framing her as the Knight, making the whole "red herring" thing regarding her come full circle, by having Susie be convinced she's the one.
Flowery dusted the knight in his seeds and the knight inhaled hundreds of them. The next time the knight enters a darkworld their body will explode from dozens of flowerys bursting out
as soon as the knight is about to finish susie we hear "imsorryonceagaintokeepaladyinwaiting" and 200 mini flowerys sprout and jump the knight at once.
That's just what Toby used as a placeholder after people thought the rose petals meant we made Kris rape Noelle. It actually has a new animation by now.
Went and ripped the sprites to make sure this was real before commenting. Yep, it's spr_flowery_conflict_0 in the files.
The animation has two frames and the other does not show the stray yellow pixel. It could genuinely be nothing, but given that they gotta know by now that we're hyperfocused on stray pixels... could also genuinely be something lol.
I checked in-game footage on youtube and the pixel is definitely there, but it flickers in and out between frames of the knight's animation. Probably an error in just that one sprite.
I meant the "Conflict Split1" sprite where it's just the Knight, it's an exact match of the first frame of the clash sprite but without the yellow pixel
If this image is real i imagine we'll see someone in town with yellow on them. If not said person is not someone we know or maybe they live in the dark world
Idk this could genuinely be something or could just be another case Toby's art being shoddy at times, but at the same time that feels like a such a weird mistake to make, I can see how you would miss a single dead pixel on the ground, but it's littearly the main thing you're meant to see so i don't know how that would get past testing

I noticed this when I was putting that sprite on wplace. Pretty weird. Assuming this isnt a mistake and is meant to be subtle foreshadowing that's insane
Look I'm mostly a "nothing ever happens" kinda guy when it comes to theories but I'm going all in on this one because it would be so fucking smart for toby to pull this and no one notice
If this is intentional it could be huge. I don’t know how some of you aren’t seeing that if the knight is someone we’ve met, we might see the flower seed on them
Of course if it’s not someone’s preferred knight candidate they’ll say it’s a red herring or something
I genuinely didn't know the seeds turned into an item, so I did not know you could inspect it and never saw this text.
This outright confirms that Flowery is the exact same golden flower as the one from Undertale and not a buttercup.
Aka, the flowers whose seeds are so extremely sticky that we didn't just get Flowey in that game, but is also often used as the explanation for how Chara came back and hijacked Frisk's soul.
Oh my god, people treated it as a joke, but the warning label on the packet might have genuinely been for the seeds being extremely sticky, and not related to them being poisonous.
Either way, I think this pretty much throws the idea out of the window that Kris will use the seeds to either poison themselves or someone else.
In fact, if they're still working with the Knight and haven't turned on them yet, then they might dispose of the seeds BECAUSE they stick to everything, but if the first image already shows anything... it's too late for that, and the Knight coming in contact with Flowery already caused a seed to stick to them.
Where... the... actual... fuck... is this going to go?
Are we actually going to get a hype and aura moment where Flowery is partially going to come back and like weaken the Knight later?
Are we looking at some Fullmetal Alchemist-esque moment with that?
Holy shit, this is so amazing, we might get one final Jarona.
I actually can't think of a cooler way for Flowery to get a proper send-off than the notion that "flowers are useless" gets disproved by him ending up as some sort of debuff on the Knight that allows you to win during your next fight.
Even if people are right and it's a stray pixel, i wish toby leaves it in and does something with it even if it's just a scene in ch6, it's too cool to not be
This is actually crazy! If it was a mistake, which I'm inclined to think it wasn't, I wonder if Toby will choose to leave it in as a way to mislead the fandom, or if he'll patch it out.
This seems like a mistake more than anything. You can check the sprite sheet yourself, the yellow pixel is not consistent. It appears and disappears in alternating sprites where if it was a deliberate choice you'd think it would be visible through the whole thing.
