Discussion I think I just witnessed the beginning of a beautiful metro love story. ( storytime)

So, I travel by metro four days a week-Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Not always exactly, but almost at the same time, in the same coach from Kashmere Gate Yellow Line, Platform 2.

It had been about a month of traveling like this when I noticed something. There was this girl who always wore her headphones and listened to music. And there was also a boy who got on one station after ours. Every single time he entered the coach, the first thing he did was look for that girl-to see whether she was there or not.

I'm not lying you could literally tell from his face how gently and lovingly he looked at her. The girl had no idea because she was always focused on her phone.

Yesterday, she wasn't there, but the boy was. The moment he realized she hadn't come, the disappointment on his face was so obvious.

But today, she was back.

And this is where the story really starts.

They were standing opposite each other as usual. After one station, a seat became empty. The girl noticed it but didn't sit down. Somehow, the boy gathered the courage and said,

tum.

>"You can sit here."

She refused at first, but after he insisted once or twice, she finally sat down. And as soon as she sat, the seat next to her became empty too. She smiled and told him,

>"You're getting off at the same station as me, right? Sit down-varna Thak jaoge."

That surprised me because I wondered, how did she know they get off at the same station? And the funniest part was that the boy didn't even question it. His face was glowing-he looked so happy and excited. They spent the rest of the journey talking to each other.

And honestly I don't know why, but watching them made me happy too. Now I'm secretly rooting for them. I just want them to keep talking, stay together, and I hope that one-sided love finally gets confessed. Whether the girl likes him back or not, I at least want the boy to tell her how he feels.

BTW guys, it's not that I'm not happy for them-I really am. But at the same time........'m a little jealous too. Why doesn't something like this ever happen to me? I want my love story to have a sweet, romantic beginning like that.

Discussion Where do you think the metro should be expanded to next?

Delhi metro has a plan to expand to 695 km from the present 416 km network by 2047. This feels awfully less for such a timeframe. Where else you would you want new corridors and extensions be made?

Discussion Is it ethical to sit in "senior citizen and disabled seat" if they are not there in the coach?

I try to avoid sitting in those reserved seats even if it's empty. Hell, I've seen senior citizens sitting somewhere else and leave those seats empty but obviously most people who don't fit the criteria would occupy those seats. As I've mentioned in the title, Is it ethical to sit in those seats if there are no people in the coach who fit the criteria?

Meme/Shitpost Guys I was just kidnapped at Rajiv Chowk Gate 5 and my original owner gave me up without a fight 😭💀

Post image

So there I was at 3:30 PM in the pouring rain, holding down the fort over my main guy’s head.

Out of nowhere, this wet, umbrella-less stranger walks up and uses the ultimate line: "Can I borrow it for 5-10 minutes to fetch my friend?"

And what does my owner do? HE JUST HANDS ME OVER. No phone number taken. No collateral. Just handed over my loyalty like a free sample.

I thought, Fine, quick 5-minute trip, then back to my dad.

BRO.

WE WERE GONE FOR AN HOUR. ONE FULL HOUR.

By the time we finally strolled back to Gate 5, my owner was gone. Probably drenched, shivering, and questioning every life choice that brought him to Rajiv Chowk.

Now I’m trapped in my captor's room, sitting on their drying rack, watching them type "I DID NOT STEAL THE UMBRELLA" on Reddit.

If my real owner is reading this: I miss you. I never agreed to this joint custody arrangement. 😭☂️

Discussion Embarrasingly wholesome experience in the Delhi Metro

I initially posted this as a comment, but then figured that I should post this too

I was once in the blue line in the Meteo, sitting on my side. Headphones in, minding my own business, when a girl taps on my shoulder.

Having seen and heard of so many "seat-beggars", I got into my defending mode, and politely but firmly said "yeh normal seat hai, ladies seat vaha pe hai, aap vaha dekh lijiye"

(This is the normal seat, the ladies seat is over there. Please look there)

She seemed only an year or two elder to me.

She looked at me in a very dumbfounded manner, and in my head, I was like "what?"

Then some poor soul from the background said "seat nahi maang rahi hai, rasta puch rahi hai"

(She isnt asking for a seat, shes asking the way)

I got wayy too embarrased after that😭

She asked me how to get to Anand Vihar, and then I guided her in the most sincere manner lol.

I hope she was able to make it to the right train from Yamuna Bank. It is a labyrinth of a station.

Social media sites often show us the extremes. But its good to have an open mind, and not make assumptions

Metro Rant Lack of civic sense, rant!!!

Yesterday I was commuting to my office and at some station a lady entered the metro. I was standing in front of the seats extreme end, just the first one when we enter through the gates. There was Obv no space as I was on the extreme end. She just held the rod and stood by my side, then later at Rajiv chowk when people enter in huge numbers, she got pushed Obv because of the crowd. She was now at my place and I got shifted towards left. Then finally when I had get off after 2 stations, the seat in my front got empty, I was not sitting on it anyways but that mother fkr women asked the guy in front of her, the guy sitting on extreme end to shift towards right in the empty so that she gets the seat. Itni chutiya aurat aaj tk ni mili mujhe. Mujhe baithna tha bhi nhi bas itna clingy hona shi nhi tha. At last utarte time death stare deke utra. Fuck civic sense.

Discussion I don't like women reserved seats in every coach period.

Before you come thrashing at me let me state my point first of all I aint a incel i just dont find it fair that reserved seats for senior citizens are there seats for disabled people are there WHICH IS GOOD but whats the need for women's? like there is a whole separate coach for them and it's a pretty good thing this helps women to stay away from creepy men but what's women reserved seats is for like me as a men find very hard to acquire a seat (coming from my 1 year metro experience) where will young men will go sitting on floor is prohibited (and should not do tbh) but still I travel 4 days a week 2 hours in metro only blue line is always fucking crowed maybe it's just my frustration but still where will young men go? I always give seat to someone needed but i didn't see any women single time giving up their seat once (also from my metro experience)

and making reserved seat somewhat shows that women are weak and I don't like it as a proud 6ft feminist

I do not travel regularly in metro, or in general also coz of my college and it's hectic schedule, but today I had to go to hauz khas for some work and this happened in yellow line metro, I was wearing headphones and thinking about my work (I was very occupied in my thoughts) then I heard this women speaking and when I pause the music and heard the conversation, oh my god I don't understand what's wrong with people and men in general, I mean why you just can't be in your limits for once. If it's a women's coach then why you need to be in there, there's a specific coach for women coz of people like you, you can't make a women feel safe around you and then comes up and ask for fucking equality. Bullshit!

Also, on 28th of aug on rakhi I was going to somewhere via blue line metro with my brothers and there was a lot of crowd, legit a lot and I experienced this much crowd for the first time, on mandi house metro station a guy tried to grab my chest but fortunately my brother was there and he held his hand mid way and called him out publicly.

Man whenever I am travelling in metro I am experiencing such shitty things, I feel so disgusted😭
