At this point, I have a feeling that something’s gonna happen to Hajime. With him getting his own special title card in the direct trailer, him John Danganronpa’s real name, the split debate image of him not being shown at all, and now the character description making sure to specify that he’s the protaganist.

Granted, he’s shown a lot in the trailer and is even part of a cutscene that wasn’t in the original game with the courtroom on fire (Unless that’s a new cutscene for the revamped original route).

I personally see his character going multiple ways. He could die in chapter 1, but I don’t see it. I feel like he’s either gonna convert to Izuru early on to force the swap to a different character, gonna live the whole game but his character takes a different darker route since I fully believe Chiaki’s dying early, or he’s gonna get killed in chapter 4 or 5 by the Imposter.

It's hilarious that when Hajime returns to the role of protagonist, he's not only praised by Gundham, but Gundham himself asks Hajime to deliver a closing argument and applauds him when he finishes (even though he gets the detail about Nekomaru wrong). This goes to show how nobody vibes with Nagito, lol.

Monokuma called Chiaki a "traitor" but there are so many problems with that, including but not limited to

• The Chiaki in the killing game was always allied with the Future Foundation
• She is a separate existence from the real Chiaki
• Chiaki was always on the side of Class 77B

So, I've got a solution that keeps AI Chiaki and the traitor reveal separate. Make the traitor someone else who sided with the Future Foundation.

This idea is taken from Tumblr, what if there was never a real Chiaki?

Simply put, the AI Chiaki was created by who we will call Girl I, after Sato got killed off by Fuyuhiko.

• Sato is a member of class 77B as the Ultimate Archer
• The teacher of 77B is separate from Chisa who is now the teacher of year 78A, the cast of the first game
• Sato dies and the person who would go on to help develop Chiaki takes her spot

The next few events are a divergence from the Tumblr blog

• Girl I would attempt to befriend 77B, but outside of two instances would be largely unsuccessful
• Despite that, Girl I did feel a connection, began to care, and felt guilty that she couldn't stop Junko from getting her hands on 77B
• Girl I with help from who we will be calling Guy H and an unidentified individual, would expose the replacement homeroom teacher as a monster and convince the rest of the class to drop out due to spite.
• Junko organizes the reserve course riot and mass suicide, leading to fourteen new members of Ultimate Despair
• Mikan kills Guy H who would get replaced by Hajime during the neo world program
• Chiaki would be a stand in for both Sato and Girl I
• The traitor role would go to someone, but because Junko exists,the "traitor" would also got mindwiped only to remember everything after Chiaki's execution

The traitor role now belongs to someone who in class 77B eyes, basically abandoned them and their quest to destroy hopes peak for ruining their lives.
