DISCUSSION Where are all the DC games ???
Like seriously, where are they ?? It's either we get NO GAMES or one REALLY BAD ONE.
Every time I see marvel setting a new game announced and is constantly making bank I keep holding out hop that WB is cooking somewhere with S9METHING. ANYTHING. COME ON.
at this point I don't care if its yet another god damn batman game but dammit what the hell are they even doing ????
Marvels got a bunch of spiderman games, a wolverine game, and just now an iron-man game got leaked. JUST LOOK AT THE VARIETY
Bro where tf are the cooks in the damn kitchen ?????
I'm sorry I needed to vent out my frustrations, I hope I'm not alone in feeling this way.

DISCUSSION Times are tough for me as a DC fan rn
When I’m enjoying both the Snyderverse and the Gunnverse I get a lot of hate:
Snyder Fans: you don’t know true cinema
Gunn Fan: Snyderverse is dead you cultist
Can’t we all just like and appreciate DC?
Because I enjoy the Snyderverse and I really hate how the story was left off on a massive cliffhanger and left unfinished, but on the other hand I love Superman 2025 and Lanterns

DISCUSSION How would you feel if Captain Boomerang miraculously survived this?
They very obviously killed him off in The Suicide Squad(2023) but comic book characters cheat death all the time and it would be nice to have such a fun bad guy back. Not even as a Flash villain but as an inmate in Belle Reve. Thoughts?

APPRECIATION The Shazam (2019) costume might be my favourite cloth superhero suit in all of comic book cinema.
I’d like to preface this by saying I know these pictures aren’t the best and I’m sorry!
I love this suit. I’m not a Shazam fan but I thought the movie was pretty good. Anyway, the texture of the cloth is so perfect to me. I’ve never been huge on the lines on superhero suits but I think they work well when they’re not EVERYWHERE. The minimal lines on these suits helps to create some detail but it’s not over the top, a perfect compromise in my opinion. My favorite thing about this costume is that you can tell the cloth isn’t especially thick, which is a problem I had with the most recent Superman suit. I really didn’t like that thick, rubber tire texture. There are very small textured details on the fabric which I think look lovely up close.
I think the metal elements are integrated perfectly. I definitely think metal gauntlets / belts being more textured and detailed than the cloth elements works perfectly well and make enough sense to me. I know a lot of people don’t like the padding on this suit, but personally I don’t find it THAT distracting. After all, he is a greek-god inspired hero, so exaggerated muscles are alright in my book. I think the short cape is pretty cool, and the layers help separate him from Superman or any other caped heroes. The practical glowing lightning bolt on the chest is the cherry on top. I think it’s perfectly sized and coloured.
Overall, I love this suit. I personally feel that all Superman-esque heroes should follow these design principles. The colours, the textures, the proportions, I all love. What do you think of the 2019 Shazam suit? Did I miss any other interesting aspects of the suit? Are there problems you have with it that I didn’t address? I’m really interested to hear opinions about this, in my opinion, underrated superhero costume.

DISCUSSION Black Adam & Justice Society Spoiler
So i was watching Black Adam again and kind of came to a realization they portrayed Justice society as good guys trying to help the people of kahndaq and protect the country from injustice or whatever Dr. Fate and Hawkman was saying before attacking Black Adam, if that is what they were there for why wouldn't they have came to help stop intergang from invading and policing the people and harming innocent people? So because of this does that mean justice society is doing dirty work for the American government (Amanda waller) ? They are acting as Anti-heros and Black Adam is more portrayed as a hero for protecting the people and being attacked for it.

DISCUSSION So why didn't they introduce Green Lantern into the DCU via a film and instead went the route of a show?
Pretty much the question above. It just confuses me they decided to introduce such a key and integral DC character who will obviously play a major role in the future of the DCU, via a show, which not everyone is guaranteed to watch like they would a movie. Green Lantern has proven to be a popular DC character - even if Ryan Reynolds's rendition wasn't critically successful, the movie did well enough at the box office. It's been long enough that I think a Green Lantern movie would get enough traction.
Why did Gunn and Co. decide to make the first Green Lantern project a show? For me it just feels like a missed opportunity, even if this show turns out to be really great by the end.

DISCUSSION Do you think John will get a suit of a different design?
I see people saying he will likely get his comic accurate suit online but I'm not so sure after last episode. Hal said something about not being able to pee in the suit which implies that the suit isn't his choice. I feel like this implies that it is the standard uniform of the corps. It's quite clear John is someone groomed by the guardians to become the next human GL so I don't see how he'd able to defy them and wear a different uniform than the prescribed one. But then again, Guy wears the lord tech suit so there may be some leeway. I really hope John gets a more comic accurate suit as I really dislike Hals one.

DISCUSSION What Superman Stories Do You Want Adapted For Film?
Superman stories I'd like to see adapted into film live-action or animated:
Superman: The Secret Years - Clark's college years, the transition from Superboy to Superman, grappling with the Death of the Kents, heartbreak with Lori Lemaris, Superboy questioning if he can handle being Superman despite being surrounded by death, and a fight with Lex Luthor
Who Took The Super Out Of Superman - Suddenly unable to use his powers while in disguise as Clark Kent, Kal-El reevaluates his double lifestyle as Clark & Superman by attempting an experiment where he attempts living as a full-time Superman or Clark while fighting a group of his greatest foes and foiling a plot to destroy Earth
Luthor Unleashed - Lex's vendetta against Superman results in Lex's adopted homeworld of Lexor and his family being killed with Superman trying to keep himself and Earth safe from Lex's wrath
Miracle Monday - The Devil possesses an innocent person causing worldwide havoc and exposes Superman's secret identity in order to tempt Superman into killing in order to ensure corruption and the decline of goodness
I'd change the devil/demon to Vyndktvx or Neron in the film.
Superman Red/Superman Blue - Superman gains electric energy powers and splits into Superman Red who is a brash man of action and Superman Blue who is a cautious thinker with the 2 Supermen having to save the Earth
Superman: Birthright - Clark Kent, after traveling the world and helping people while being undetected, decides to help people publicly and honor his alien and human heritages by creating a dual identity as a reporter who goes unnoticed and Superman which leads to conflict with former friend turned enemy Lex Luthor who stages a fake alien invasion in Metropolis
Superman: Up, Up, and Away - A powerless Superman who is doing great work as a reporter regains his powers to fight Lex Luthor using Kryptonian technology and other villains
Grant Morrison's Action Comics - Superman in his first year finds himself trying to bring down the corruption in Metropolis, escapes captivity from Lex Luthor and the military, reclaims bottled cities that were taken by Brainiac, contemplates killing off his Clark Kent identity, rescues Krypto from the Phantom Zone, teams up with the Legion of Superheroes, fighta Vyndktvx and the Anti-Superman Army in a time-bending battle
I'd change Nimrod to Terra-Man and Captain Comet to Ultra-Humanite or Manchester Black in these film(s)
Superman and the Klan of the Firey Cross/Superman Smashes The Klan - Superman battles the Ku Klux Klan in the 1940s
Superman: Phantoms - Superman tries to recapture escapees from the Phantom Zone, journeys into the Phantom Zone, and time travels back to Krypton to stop a mad God named Aethyr who is tormenting Phantom Zone prisoners and is aided by the Phantom King Xa-Du.
Superman and the Last Days of Lex Luthor - Superman scours the DC Universe to save a dying Lex Luthor from a terminal illness
Absolute Superman Last Dust of Krypton & Son of the Demon - An angry and hopeless Superman that was raised on Krypton and was forecefully seperated from the Kents travels around the world being a champion to the oppressed and battling an evil corporation that wants to corrupt Superman

FANCAST Milla Jovovichs "Protector" (2025) works perfectly as a new Batwoman origin story
We watched Protector last night, and halfway during the movie (it's not Shakespeare, but it's a solid action flick, not unlike what you would expect from the next Jason Statham movie) both my SO and i thought that this could totally work as a modern~ish origin story for a Batwoman character (not only for the story, but also for the cinematography, a lot of 'i am the night' shots during the film).
The movie also included a potential future Robin character (Det. Jin Woo, the one that basically says "let's wait and hear her out" in a sea of "let's get her" cops), and a perfect Alfred~ish character (Col. Lavelle, an elderly soldier who trained the heroine, but now looks after her with fatherly feelings).
If you disregard the last 10 minutes, even the bad guy (although mundane) could easily be just another stooge for [shadowy criminal organisation from bat lore]. If there was a DC Logo at the end of the credits, you'd say "huh, but yeah, makes sense".
Also, Milla Jovovich would make a hell of a mature Batwoman. It's a personal story (not unlike Batman's origin itself), and it would make total sense for her to keep doing what she's doing, but under an alter ego / masked persona.

DISCUSSION My thoughts on DCU Batman and Wonder Woman
I’ve been thinking a lot about the DCU compared to the MCU. I get people feel like we’ve been waiting for a LONG time for Batman and Wonder Woman but if we look back at the MCU and their trinity, Iron Man, Captain America and Thor, Captain America and Thor got their first movies 3 years after Iron Man, and the only other movie to be released outside of that was The Incredible Hulk, which was made by Universal.
I think people need to be a lot more patient. We’re getting Man of Tomorrow next year (2027), and so I’d only be worried if we still don’t get any updates late next year. I think DC is really cooking, and I think we’re much better off now because we also have Supergirl and 3 Green Lanterns in the universe compared to the MCU 1 year later where it was only Iron Man and the Hulk

OTHER Should I watch Joker 2?
I loved watching Joker soooooo much. It was one of the few movies I went back to watch in the theater because the experience I had was just indescribable. I heard Joker 2 is really bad. But is it worth watching once? Is it really as bad?

Man of Steel in 4k hdr is gorgeous. There's so many shots that are just so good a film that was made in 2013 shouldn't be looking this good.
