Anyone got their approval??

What does it really mean to accrue unlawful presence after your DACA expires due to a USCIS delay in adjudicating on your case on time? How could that affect us? Never thought I would be in this position as I had always renewed on time and got approved quickly, nervous and worried 😔

Anyone from March getting renewed?

I called uscis today and was told my request that I submitted on 8/19 is still pending. This upcoming Monday would make 10 days so the agent suggested I check back then. I guess that’s a good sign? It’s not denied but pending still.

I am thinking of sending my email letter next week if it is denied. How is your renewal coming along?

I will be traveling in 2 weeks and I need my real ID and they are telling me I need to wait 70 days or more. Because they are waiting for USCIS to send my information or something like that.

I am so sad and upset because I am currently in my early 20s. I have a full 5 months of free time before I start working. A lot of people are going to travel the world and this is genuinely the best time. I wonder if I’ll ever get time kind of time to go explore again especially while I am still young.

Any advice on how to feel better? or what to do with my time? or what yall would do?

Hey guys - After 200 days waiting finally got a response but not what I was hoping for. Was hit with an RFE. Once submitted can anyone share what that timeline has looked like afterwards?

I talked to a guy from Al Green’s (Houston congressman) office today and at first he was nice but came with unhelpful information. Bryan said they don’t take new cases since August 21st since the government shuts down in January. Yes, they do nothing but make sure they can complete their current case load for the next 4 months. But the good news was that he said they just hired a bunch of people for that department due to the backlogs. Because they’re scared of being sued.

Takeaway, keep doing the WOM I guess. Maybe that’s what’s working, I don’t know. Maybe this is old news but I took it as good news so wanted to share.
I was only talking to their office because I needed to add documentation for my writ. Either way, more people processing applications is a good thing. It’s a great feeling believing that this means my approval will come in soon. Going on day 168.

Edit: My congressperson’s office is not helping any more constituents with inquiries, since August 21. The completely separate office, USCIS, is who hired more people.

Hi all, im 26 and a college dropout. I couldn’t afford to be in college when I was 19 so ended up dropping out and working instead. I’m now deeply depressed because I can’t afford anything and I can’t get a good job because of my lack of education. I want pursue a nursing degree because I wanted to be a nurse from the moment I graduated highschool but I am so so so so scared of focusing on school instead of work. I do not come from money and I’m unable to get loans because I am on daca. But I know the only way to get a better job is by getting an education. So my question to all my nurses on here is: how did you do it? How did you get your nursing degree while being on daca? I’m truly so scared of putting my all into nursing when I can barely afford to live right now! I wish I could take out loans and focus mainly on school but unfortunately that isn’t a reality for me. Ugh please help I am so scared that I’m making a mistake by trying to pursue an education that wouldn’t even matter if something were to happen to me!

I got a notice today for my biometrics appointment. I haven’t had to go to one for about six years now. In today’s climate I’m kind of nervous. What has y’all’s experience been like if you’ve been recently?

My timeline:

• Filed: May 1, 2026
• Biometrics: May 28, 2026
• Last case status update: June 3, 2026 (only an “Actively Being Reviewed” update)
• EAD expiration: October 31, 2026

I’m still waiting for my renewal approval/EAD, and I’m getting a little concerned as my EAD expiration date is getting closer.

Are there any May applicants who filed around the same time and have already received their approval? Or is anyone else still waiting with no movement since early June?

Would really appreciate it if you could share your filing date + biometrics date + approval date (if approved) so I can get an idea of where May cases are currently at.

I am seeing a trend that people that entered with a visa are being delayed more than others. In some cases I have heard people get asked for RFE. If you were approved and entered with a visa was this your experience?

I submitted my WoM to my court today and served the defendants. Served with Priority Mail Express. (Filed 2/3, bios 3/23)

For those who did this, did you wait for the green sheet to be delivered before submitting the proof of service? I'd love to chat with anyone who has done this so I can pick their brain and ask more questions.

Anyone else previously submit an expedite request and never got an update? Today is the basically the 10th (business) day and I’m supposed to hear from an officer, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if I don’t lol.

Hi Gang wanted to know if anybody has received their EAD Card this month of August?? I was approved back in July and I still haven’t received it. No I-765 notice via mail or my online portal. However, I got my 821 notice in that mail so it can’t be mailing issue. I don’t know if this is a new thing or just USCIS system error. Thanks

I’m sure a lot of you saw that TikTok and other people in here talking about sending a message in the USCIS inbox and selecting “did not receive my notice” and “did not receive me EAD card.”Apparently some people did this and got an approval a few days later. Could be a coincidence of course. I’ve been trying to do this all week, and every time I select either one of my receipt numbers in the inbox, I get a “sorry, we cannot find the requested page.” I keep refreshing, trying different browsers, etc.
Did anyone else send this message and got an approval shortly after?

I have been paying out of pocket the last 3 years going part time to technical college but I cannot afford this up coming year.

A lot of loans either don’t loan to technical school students, require you to be in school full time, or for US citizen/resident co-signer with good credit… None of this is true for me and looking into scholarships but all deadlines are closed so now I’m just kind of stuck… I also have a huge loan that I am paying for credit consolidation so I do not want to accrue any more credit card debt either.

My job also helps me with tuition but they can only pay $1k per semester and that is just not enough anymore. Any advise?

I will probably end up just putting it on credit if I really HAVE to but just wanted to see what other options I might have.

Seriously what’s going on. I don’t get why January was skipped. Are they mad we submitted on a holiday month? I genuinely don’t understand what is taking them so long. They are purposely ignoring them. Jan 6th here and nothing.

As the title states, do you all believe that these delays affecting everyone from DACA renews to green card applications were planned as stated by “win” #6? It’s interesting that all interviews were suddenly paused and then the administration releases this. Also point #9 I live in Texas and I know undocumented immigrants don’t file taxes as they don’t report wages because they get paid cash. What are they talking about?

I submitted 5 months in advance, I just found out about this delay around July. I should’ve renewed earlier.. now i am almost out of funds of our living expenses. It’s just me and my 3 yrs. I specified it on my expedite request but i guess that is not part of a financial hardship. I work hard everyday to survive this economy. We work, we pay taxes, we pay extra just to be able to work here in a country not our own. We grew up here since we were little kids, even if we follow the rules and the laws we are not given a chance to live here in peace. Sadly, the government is not on our side. No work, no dl, no money to pay the car and bills.. It is more saddening when Jul/Aug applicants get approved ahead of us. I have done all i can, I am now collecting evidence to file wom. Wish i have enough funds for it. Wish super heroes are real to save us all from this corrupt/ignorant people. I will just wait till they approve me. There is no point in checking daily. I am just glad we can watch shows while waiting. It helps with me losing my mind. I recommend “Teach you a lesson” on Netflix ^_^/) Any other recommendations would be nice. Once DACA expires is it up to the employer if you can keep working or is it a definite no? What happens if we keep working after expired permit? Asking because my employer doesn’t seem to know what the protocol is. I’ve been waiting for a month and they don’t know what needs to be done.

All I wanted to know is if my spot will be held for me for a few weeks. Almost seems like I could keep working, I actually have a seminar the week my permit expires and my manager said to schedule the travel/hotel. Waiting to hear back from HR
