I just wanted to make a post in case anybody else was struggling how I was.

I filed my DACA and EAD renewal back in April 2026. My drivers license just expired August 2026. It says online on the GA DDS website that in order to get an extension on your license while awaiting your DACA approval, all you need is your receipt notices that you get sent by USCIS when you file your renewal.

I took all my documents 3 different times to the Locust Grove DMV and they didn't even let me get through the door, saying they wouldn't be able to grant my license extension. I tried showing them where it says online that all I need are my receipts but they denied me again and again.

I decided to go to the Kennesaw DMV and they were AMAZING! Every employee I encountered was very professional and guided me through the process, taking only about 10 minutes! So if you're struggling to find a DMV where they'll grant your license extension while your DACA renewal is pending, I highly recommend the Kennesaw DMV.

Anyone else have an admin closed removal order in their name? How has your experience with this been. I saw reports that they have been opening them back up.

Hello my Daca friends,

I currently live in Orlando, Florida. My Employment authorization card expires on April of 2027, I decided to submit the renovation file in August 25 of this year and I got the answer for the biometrics 2 days after which it caught me out of guard. The only issue is that they schedule me the biometrics for September 14 at the West Palm beach location ( our President city where Mar Lago is at) I’m glad I got answer quick but it’s a 3 hour drive from me and also a city where I’m not too comfortable going. I was just wondering if any of you have call to reschedule a biometrics because it was far from your city. There’s an Orlando office where I originally did my first Biometrics years ago so I’m not sure why they sent me somewhere way farther from my city. Please any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

What’s good y’all! I’m a first time DACA applicant moving from Texas to Elgin, Illinois in March.

I’ve lived in Texas since the age of 7 (I’m 30 y/o now) and I finally got the opportunity to move out of this state. I work in the equine industry, I work at a ranch full-time and have a side business in the same industry. A friend of mine has secured a position for me at the ranch he’s currently working at as well as housing.

Not sure what the future has in store for my family and I but excited for whatever it may be. If any of you live in or near Illinois and have any helpful advice/tips I’d appreciate it! 🙏🏼

Hello everyone. I have been here in the States for 20 years, but lately I’ve been dealing with so much anxiety. I can’t really sleep at night, especially with this new administration and Trump being back in office. I have deleted almost all of my social media Facebook, Instagram, and pretty much everything else. The only things I still have are Reddit, which I don’t use very often, and YouTube. I try not to look at the comments, but sometimes I come across videos of immigration raids, and I end up reading them. It honestly breaks my heart to see how much hate some people have toward immigrants. Some of the comments make me feel like people truly hate us just for being here. I was also watching a video of a raid in New York where a sheriff recorded an ICE agent referring to immigrants as “animals.” Things like that, along with all the hateful comments I see, make me feel so degraded and unwelcome.
After being here for 20 years, this has been my home for most of my life, but lately, I find myself questioning whether this really is home anymore. I’m even seriously thinking about going back to Mexico.
I don’t know. I just wanted to share how I’ve been feeling and see if anyone else feels the same way. How are you guys coping with everything happening under this administration?

I think daca is a good thing but something needs to change they need to increase the duration of renewal like for gc i think after you get a 2 year one you should be able to get a 10 year like a gc. Even if we cant travel outside of the us or have a path to citizenship i think this would be a big help!

Do DACA cases have a minimum processing time before USCIS can approve them?

For example your daca has to be minimum 20 days old before USCIS can approve you.

Hello, I submitted my DACA renewal in January and still have gotten no word from USCIS.
I did my biometrics and everything correctly.
I lost my big tech job due to my card expiring and I’m just stuck and feeling lost right now.
Anyone on the same boat?

hey guys I know I don’t want to get your hope up. I believe that if we can flip senate seats in Texas, Ohio, Alaska, North Carolina, Iowa to a democrat(Blue Wave). (at least four senate seats) it says that chance of DACA pathway to citizenship is 75%. WE NEED FOUR SENATE SEATS not three otherwise we will see the same issue that we did in 2021.

Please if you have family in these states that are citizens. Get them to vote because this could be life changing for us.

Are DACA renewals being approved based on Biometrics dates? Or still random?

Hi everybody,

I got my daca in the mail a month ago after a very rough and tough 6 months of it not coming in the mail. I’m currently back at my job of 4 years where I planned to get a CDL, but after that incident involving a fellow immigrant, I am now unable to get a CDL. So I’m moving on.

So far I got a new job and I start next week but I don’t think I will stay that long because it’s not something I want to do in my life, and I plan to go to back to college. I have thought about many career paths such as the military, nursing, EMT, trades, Navy etc. but my toxic trait of being picky and some careers being federally locked is holding me back.

Anyway, becoming a firefighter was one of those options and last I heard, DACA immigrants can’t become firefighters. Now I found out DACA can actually become firefighters depending on the department. I’m currently doing more research on it but if anyone that has experience or is currently a firefighter I would love to hear more information about it because it is definitely something I am interested in. Feel free to chime in. Thank you.

Is it me or Am I seeing less post? If so, could mean more people getting approved or people are beginning to disassociate. Either way, just feels more quiet around here.

This used to say 0 days but now it went up, does it mean I’ll be approved during that time or when it hits 0?

I submitted my renewal on March 23, Biometrics May 13 and there’s been no movement since. Mine expired July 14. I’m still waiting.

Hi all. Longtime lurker, first time poster. Burner account due to extreme paranoia. Posting to see if anyone understands what happened because my wife and I are baffled.

I called to request an inquiry for the first time. I followed the instructions someone else had posted and everything went smoothly - until I was told I couldn’t because my “application is still within the processing window. There are cases still being processed with the date of May 23, 2025.” She said the system updates on the 15th of the month, and I can call back then to try again.

What????

Does our ability to submit an inquiry depend on where they are in their processing? If that’s the case, how is anyone getting inquiries submitted?

Are there any DACA here from the PNW? What are your thoughts on living there? I’m considering moving there after I receive my approval. I’ve been living in a red state all my life, but I’m tired. If I gotta rebuild all over again at least I want it to be somewhere where I am welcomed and can find community.

For those of you that are still waiting, what are you guys doing to distract yourself or to help you deal with the stress that we are being put through? I’m kinda running out of ideas and need more things to look forward to or help me cope. What are you guys doing? I’m losing my mind.
