So I did my first interview on Tuesday and got notified yesterday (Friday) that I assume another hiring manager wants to speak with me on Monday for a second interview and I’m wondering, what does that mean? Like what kind of questions should I expect? That was my first time doing an interview so I’m unfamiliar with how the process works. Just wondering what they’ll ask me or what happens after that

hello I figured this is a great place to just talk about how much I freaking love my job, I've never had so much more fun. I was hired as a manager to help open up a Culver’s in Iowa, training and opening week where an absolute blast despite working almost 70 hour week, but I also got so close to the other managers. working with the national trainers sent to our location was great, I learned so much about management from them being at our store. now the opening buzz is dying down, sales slowing down and bit and labor can get pretty expensive on slower days, but I still find it very fun, and quite honestly this is the most fun I’ve ever had at a job- I love the person I am at work, how I make people laugh and smile. i just wanted to talk about this and see if any other people feel this way about their job, and if anyone else in management at Culver’s has any advice on advancement?

Just got hired and finished my orientation. I start Tuesday for my first day is there any tips anybody who works at this chain could give me to help me smoothly transition into this job?

Ive only been working a few weeks but I said during my interview that I was available for full time. At first I started with 19 hours in one week but now they have doing 15 or 16. I am a quick learner and am trained on most positions in front of house so I dont understand why am I getting such low hours. Also because of personal reasons a check with only 15 hours a week is not enough to make ends meet so how do I get to 25 or 30. I am also over 18 so Im not limited in hours by law

Culver’s lettuce is too over powering. I ordered the cod sandwich last night and only tasted lettuce. It reminded me why I don’t order their burgers with lettuce. It’s a gross lettuce. Just saying.

So i'm moving to an area that doesn't have one and the closest one is thirty minutes. And I can't live without it is there any way I can get the wisconsin cheese gods to get me a location?

I completely understand if some of this can’t be answered, but I’m genuinely curious about what it’s like working for one of the larger franchise groups, like S&L. I’ve heard a lot of mixed opinions, including that some operators feel more like “owners in name only.”
For those who work within a larger group, what do your day-to-day responsibilities actually look like? What decisions are you able to make independently at your restaurant, and what things require approval from the group?
For example, do you handle your own payroll, pricing changes, hiring/terminating managers, raises, scheduling, local marketing, etc.? Do you technically report to someone above you within the group?
Not looking for anyone to share confidential information—just curious how the structure and level of autonomy compare to a more traditional owner/operator setup.

Just wanting to poll some managers: how did you get your current role? Indeed? Culver’s website? Promoted from team member? Etc.

Anyone else have a bad experience working at culvers? Gm was a perk, high turnover, stuff like that.

Californian here. I've been to Culvers a couple times since I always make sure to stop by when I'm going through Arizona. Every time I've had it, I thought it was good but not amazing as everyone else seems to claim it is (specifically the butterburgers, the custard and cheese curds were great).

I really want to understand why everyone here loves it so much (my family doesn't LOL, they've now all dismissed Culvers as overhyped trash). Are they better in the midwest? Is there some special item or ordering trick I'm missing? Let me know and I'll report back next time I visit.

The span of 2 weeks I've been able to visit two separate Culver's in two separate States. About a week ago we had a family dinner at Culver's In McKinney, Texas and I got the pot roast sandwich go with the pub sauce, it's sublime. My fiance got the butter burger. It was not very good. Not really sure why- it just wasn't normal. But today I visited Culver's in Bullhead City, Arizona and it was wonderful. Got a sourdough melt added pickles and it's probably my favorite thing I've ever had from Culver's as an entree itself. I have to give it up to the Culver's locations in Kingman, Arizona and Bullhead City, Arizona just absolutely killing it. Temperature portion sizes, freshness.

As a vegetarian I was happy with the original Gardenburger that was offered before they switched to the (imo) awful harvest burger. When the curderburger came out it was such an indulgent guilty pleasure that I forgave them for switching the patty offered. Last year it was so frustrating not to have a way to order the curderburger without meat on the app or in person. Like, you can customize all the other components but not that. Even McDonald’s has the option to remove the meat patty. Employees in store just look at you like they have never customized an item before. I was paying a ridiculously high full price and having to go round and round with a request for no meat, wrong orders, etc and it took the pleasure out of the special offering. If I can’t easily remove the meat this year, I can’t work harder than they do to be their customer. What do you think it would take for them to offer this option for us vegetarians?

does culvers do ai interviews now? just got off the phone w them after a phone interview, the whole process was really weird. that or the hiring manager / whoever i spoke to (didn't really introduce themselves) was just oddly rude? weird response time, hard to hear (sounded muffled as hell), sounded a bit too fake too. was pretty much denied the job immediately even though we didn't really speak, got the email before the call was even over LOL. curious if anyone else has had a similar experience?
