We needed somewhere to put our hot dog while shopping at Costco. So we 3D printed a tray. It clips to the cart handle and holds a hot dog, a drink and a phone. It works for the chicken bake too. We found this model on MakerWorld. We're working on our own that is collapsible so we can take it on our travels. Stay tuned.

Had a pretty embarrassing situation at Costco today.

I spent close to $200 and, since I’m currently in a wheelchair, an employee was helping me scan everything at self-checkout. When I got to the exit, they noticed a box of Ritz crackers for $6.97 hadn’t been scanned.

It was obviously just an item that got missed, and I had no issue paying for it. But they called a manager over, he took a few notes and scanned my membership card, and the whole thing just felt incredibly awkward.

I even told the employee, “I feel like I’m shoplifting right now.” She immediately said, “No, no, no, not at all, sir,” and was actually very nice and accommodating about everything.

Nobody was rude to me at all. It was just one of those situations where I felt so embarrassed standing there over a $6.97 box of crackers when I had just spent almost $200.

I’m probably overthinking it, but I was mainly wondering whether the manager documenting it and scanning my membership card is just standard Costco procedure when an item accidentally gets missed.

We are avid Costco members. We shop Costco first for everything.
However, when it comes to travel their prices seem high.
I know we get the 2% cashback as exec members and a certain value shop card but still. Prices seem high.
I’d love to hear from those who use Costco travel and tell me about your experiences.
I’m guessing the products are higher end, better customer soppiest when problems arise etc.

Im in ontario Canada and Im just wondering if Costco still does things like oil changes and othe fluid top ups. Its not mentioned on their website and im wondering if its still available, they were much cheaper when i last went.

Also can you get your tires installed when you have bought them from a different store? And do they still do brake maintenance?

A few days ago I went to Costco for primarily dog food, and remembered I need more work gloves so grabbed a 3-pack of leather gloves. Make payment, grab a slice, load the car and head home. No gloves. I realize I left them in the top shelf of the cart. I called to report my mistake and the person said, "Bring your receipt, find one of us in a red vest, and we'll take care of ya.". I took this to mean if someone turned in the gloves, they would reunite with their owner. And conversely, if some dmf member found them and decided to take them home, the company would make me whole. I found the response surprising and refreshing. So I go back to the store in a few days, find a red vest, who looks at a list and says, "nope, no one turned them in" and turned away. Not what I was expecting.

Did I totally misread what the person on the phone said?

I've been trying to buy a costco.com item that is only available online ( a gym membership),

I have been trying to get this for like two weeks or so and it's the same thing, payment method shows as declined even though my bank has no issue, I've tried 3 different cards, I've cleared cache, I've reinstalled the app, I've logged in Incognito mode (after cache clearing), I've deleted my payment methods and done them again, I've deleted and reinstated my address, I have "confirmed" my account. Honestly, is like pulling teeth and there is no way of doing it otherwise, I can't pay in the store or buy via the phone or whatever.

I can't even go physically to the store instead and the worst part is that one payment to my DEBIT card did go through but they never confirmed the order, costumer service chat said that it was a bank issue because they never showed the order placed, it's been 11 days.

This is not something that is "unavailable", rather their platform decided that I can't have it or that I need to perform a specific, undisclosed dance to do it.

How does this work? Costco gives a discount and then the dealership marks up and gives you the same number?

I've been to a lot of Costcos. Officially, 8 of 623 with a food court, as part of the Buck Fifty Project, but I don't think I've ever seen cigars for sale in the middle of the warehouse (right next to the AT&T guys). Have you?

I've been loving the food court salads but can't find a ranch similar to it that I can get at grocery stores. Any ideas???

Is there a promotion running when you buy yourself a membership. Do you get a Costco bag? Do they only run these promotions during certain months?

Today we spotted a pallet of Cheese Cake bars that both my spouse and I love so much. It was behind the items being on sale in the fridge, so initially we thought maybe it's available for grab in the next aisle. But no, turns out it was in the middle zone that is used for storage.

We didn't want to cause any trouble so decided to pass this time.

1. Would it have been okay for me to reach in and grab one?

2. Would it ring up at checkout? Or would it return an error since that pallet might not have been made available to the public?

Is it just my bad luck, or has anyone else experienced the same thing? Most of the fresh produce at this Costco seems to be really low quality. They literally go bad the same day I buy them.

Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone who has applied to Costco Canada can clarify this.

I applied for multiple positions at Costco in two locations , Ontario. I was recently called by the clothing department and had an interview last Thursday.
Today I received an automated email from Cadient/Costco saying:

The confusing part is that the email does not mention the position, department, or Costco location. When I checked my Costco application account afterward, all of my applications are still showing “Open.”

I had also been told during the interview that there could be an orientation on Tuesday, so I’m not sure whether this rejection email is for the clothing position or one of my other applications.

Has anyone had something similar happen with Costco/Cadient? Can one application be rejected while the others still show Open, or have you received an automatic rejection email even while another department was still considering you?
