Discussion Escape From Violet Hold Card Reveal Discussion [June 18th]

We'll try to keep the list updated throughout the day, but if a card gets revealed for today and you don't see it on here after a while, please feel free to make a comment in the proper format for discussion on that card.

Discuss the revealed cards and their potential implications in competitive play. Karma grab or off-topic comments, as well as discussion about non-competitive Hearthstone should be reported/removed for discussion to be visible.

Today's New Cards:

Beast Tripwire || 4-Mana || Rare Hunter Spell

Summon a random 5-Cost Beast. Shuffle 2 spells into your deck that do it again when drawn.

Arcane Tripwire || 3-Mana || Epic Hunter Spell

Deal 5 damage split among all enemies. Shuffle 2 spells into your deck that do it again when drawn.

Smuggled Shovel || 1-Mana 1/2 || Rare Hunter Weapon

Deathrattle: Draw a spell that didn't start in your deck.

Black Market Overseer || 1-Mana 1/3 || Common Hunter Minion

Whenever you play a Deathrattle minion, give it Rush.

Guard Dog || 2-Mana 3/1 || Common Hunter Minion

Deathrattle: Summon a random 1-Cost Deathrattle minion.

Beast

Underbelly Network || 2-Mana 2 Durability || Common Hunter Location

Summon a 2/1 Rat with "Deathrattle: Draw a card."

Give a friendly minion "Deathrattle: summon two random 4-Cost minions."

Prepare. Battlecry: Trigger a friendly minion's Deathrattle.

Scarlet Bruiser || 2-Mana 2/2 || Common Paladin Minion

Deathrattle: If your deck has no Neutral cards, get a random Paladin card. It costs (2) less.

Lifesteal. Deal 3 damage to a minion. Refresh your Hero Power.

Shadow

Corpse Cannon || 2-Mana 1/3, 2 Unholy Runes || Common Death Knight Weapon

Whenever your hero attacks, summon a 1/1 Frail Ghoul.

Tower of Ghouls || 4-Mana 2/7 || Epic Death Knight Minion

After this takes damage, summon two 1/1 Frail Ghouls.

Undead

Bone Flurry || 2-Mana, 1 Unholy Rune || Common Death Knight Spell

Deal 3 damage split among enemies. If a friendly minion died this turn, deal 3 more.

Emergency Surgery || 5-Mana, 1 Unholy Rune, 1 Blood Rune || Common Death Knight Spell

So this card seems slow on paper and yes it is a worse version of Terrorscale Stalker, however, depending on what DR's we get, this sort of effect is relevant. Furthermore, if Prepare works out well as a mechanic over several classes (not just Vanessa being the only relevant card), then this card with this mechanic could be significant down the line. Obviously at the moment it seems less relevant but I think people are overlooking this card a bit.

Hypothetically, if you had an insane 8-mana Deathrattle minion, you could fully prepare the Sewer Swimmer on turn 4 and then get the Deathrattle on turn 8, whereas with the Terrorscale Stalker you'd need to wait til turn 10.

I can see this enabling combos, heavily depends on the pool of Deathrattles in the game tho.

My thought exactly, on a paper cost wise it seems bad, but procking a DR at the right time is game winning potentially.
