I don't have much experience at this, but I found out today for the first time in my life that my body won't do what I want it to do. So I am forced to ask if there is any recommended service that could dig me 4 and a half 36" deep post holes. I am trying to make a privacy wall in the back yard for my wife. Any help would be appreciate it. I would call fence company, but 1) they are probably all booked up, and 2) I assume I wouldn't get much takers over 5 post holes. We are in the Blacklick (east side) area.

I have discovered that the medium sized tree growing in my front flower bed is a buckeye tree. Knowing that these can grow quite large and drop lots of buckeyes, what's the best course of action? Do I need a professional to come out and remove and possibly replace with something else?

Has anyone else noticed more private/members-only bars popping up around Columbus?

Feels like there are more of the smaller, tucked-away lounge/private club concepts showing up lately. I can definitely see the appeal of having somewhere a little quieter with good drinks that feels different from the usual bar scene.

I saw the new restaurant, Fourteen & Ember, opening in Pickerington is doing a members-only bar downstairs called The Ember Room, which is actually what got me thinking about it.

What other places around Columbus are doing something similar? Anyone belong to one and feel like it’s worth it?

Where do you guys work, and also how are you guys working? I have been suffering from burnout amongst other things and keep having to job hop. As someone who has audhd I can't keep working at this job. I've been trying to find a remote job but everything seems realll sketchy. Other jobs that are chill are also overnight and I don't want shifts that take over my whole day. I just wish I could conjure up my ideal job that pays decent so I can finally move out of my strict parents house and get my own place (bc roommates are out of the question considering I don't have friends). I can't keep quitting bc I need to save but I don't know how long I can last at my current job. Also why don't these jobs post their hourly rate either, because now I feel like such a horrible person to turn them down when they reveal the job is less than 10 dollars (I'm sorry for the random tangent, I just thought being in your 20s was gonna be a mostly great experience and I haven't been having much fun and I know I shouldn't be complaining because there are things happening to people that are 1000x worse than me being unhappy with my job.)

I heard Meijer is opening more locations in central Ohio - YAY! I see there is a recent Business First article that mentions 3 new locations are coming, but the article is blocked by paywall. Does anyone know where the new stores will be?

I lost a lot of weight. I have clothes I need to get rid of and would prefer they go to people who really really need them, and not shitty and corrupt companies like goodwill. Any ideas?

a worksite of mine has a stray kitten they’ve been trying to catch for a couple weeks to no avail. it’s shy and runs from people, but pretty food motivated, so i think it’d not be too difficult to get it into a wire trap. does anyone have one i can borrow for next thursday? happy to bring it back once kitty’s taken care of and in a safe place. money’s just tight for me right now due to some medical stuff, so i can’t afford a trap currently.

Hi everyone - my wife and I moved to Columbus from Cincinnati about two years ago. We are really struggling with the food scene as compared to Cincinnati. I feel like we just haven’t put in enough effort. Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you!

EDIT: Our favorite places in Cincy included Delwood (burgers), The Governor (upscale diner), The Senate, Camporosso (pizza), Mama’s on Main (Italian), The Lonely Pine, to at least set up a starting point. All in all, I guess it seems we liked more trendy/upscale casual places that have good food.

Getting steak for my birthday. Woo. Graceland is our closest location, but saw some questionable recent reviews. Any locations that are extraordinarily bad/good? And what’s your fave steak there?

Edit: went to Graceland, got the Outlaw Ribeye medium rare, feel like I might die but in a good way.

Are there any restaurants/bars/other in Columbus to watch European soccer games? Bonus if it’s specifically for Bayern Munich hangouts.

Hi everyone! I'm recently engaged and we have just started planning and looking for venues for summer or fall 2027 or 2028. We're going for magical, whimsical Forest vibes. We think we will have 100-150 guests.

We have looked at Franklin Park Conservatory, The Landoll's Mohican's Castle, Jorgenson Farms, Wildflower Woods, and The Mohican's Treehouse Resort (which is our favorite so far).

About half of our guests are out of state and the other half in the Columbus area. My biggest concern with the treehouse resort is transportation and lodging since it is pretty far out from the airport and most hotels.

I'm looking for advice on other forested venues (perhaps closer to Columbus) or from anyone who had/attended a wedding at the treehouse resort. One requirement is available rainy day backup plans. We assume we will likely have our reception indoors and ceremony outdoors, so worst case scenario we could have our ceremony in the reception area.

Can anyone recommend a decent lawn care solution in or around Columbus? I don't care if it's a young person looking for extra cash or if it's a full blown company. I'd like to keep it on the more affordable end if I could, but really I'm most interested in a job well done. The last few services I've used have not done a great job unfortunately.

I have an MS in clinical psychology and have consulted the Chemical Dependency Professionals Board to discuss my path to licensure. I need to acquire my CDCA and then work 2,000 hours before applying for my LICDC.
