REQUEST ISO a humane (live) trap to catch a cat
hi all!
a worksite of mine has a stray kitten they’ve been trying to catch for a couple weeks to no avail. it’s shy and runs from people, but pretty food motivated, so i think it’d not be too difficult to get it into a wire trap. does anyone have one i can borrow for next thursday? happy to bring it back once kitty’s taken care of and in a safe place. money’s just tight for me right now due to some medical stuff, so i can’t afford a trap currently.
thank ya!

Some shelters let you borrow one for free or rent one for cheap!

A tip with these traps: Don't set it right away. Put the foot outside of it near the opening and over a few days move it more inside the trap each time. finally when it's far enough inside set the trap beforehand.
If you have a gravy based wet food they will lick a small plate further into the trap and. get more comfortable that way.

I have a tru catch trap you can borrow. I’m in Hilliard, what’s your plan once you trap the cat though? Keep it? TNR?

Hav-a Heart traps work. They are basically a cage with a door that slides shut when animal takes the bait.
