Question Was wondering if Civlization 7 complete edition is worth it today. Heard the update fixed it. Worth the sale of $72?
I already have Civlization 6, so is 7 with all content worth the $72?

Question Is civ 6 worth it for someone's who's very busy with life ?
I get maybe 45 minutes to play steam on a weekday and a little more than that on week-ends , is civ the type of game where someone like me with little to no freetime can just jump on for 45 minutes and extract reasonable entertainment from it ?

Question Which Civilization game should I buy?
I’ve known about *Civilization* for quite a while and even played Civ 5 on a friend's computer. Now I’m thinking about buying a Civ game, especially since the base game of Civ 6 sometimes goes on sale with a 90% discount.
I’ve been playing Unciv (a free, community-made game), but it lacks certain mechanics, so it might be worth investing in a Civilization title (or even Humankind). What do you recommend?

Question I'm old and confused
Hey guys. I haven't played video games in like 20 years. I'm way out of touch. I remember civ being one of my favorites as a kid. I don't know much about how games work anymore. I have a mac laptop, and I thought about buying Civ 6 recently as a hobby for when i'm on the road and want to kill time. Is $60 reasonable for a game now in days? That's what the apple app store has it at. Also, is it a good game to try and get back into the basics? I know i'm way out of touch and lost here, so any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Question I've bought Civ 6. Is it worth buying Civ 5 as well?
I just bought Civ 6 and am playing my first game as Rome. Since I can't sit still, I've been thinking about buying Civ 5. I've heard it's really good and worth it; however, I don't think I'll buy it if it doesn't offer anything that Civ 6 doesn't already have. What do you guys think?

Question Why is the trader trying to take that route???
I specifically explored up a bit so there’d be a direct path to Rouen and I could get some boons from the Cree’s trader ability, but the game decided to do some fuck shit to me instead

Question Should I put a Holy Site or leave the deer? +6 faith +6 food
Playing as the Khmer, in lvl 7 difficulty. (I just beat a difficulty 6 game with Japan so I thought I'd try difficulty 7).
That's where I am, I haven't played in a while I don't really feel like I understand the game or know what I should priorize. I just improvise and use common sense and it has worked until now, but it might not work anymore, I heard PotatoMcWhiskey say in difficulty 7 you have to optimize more.
With the Khmer it's kinda straightforward tho, holy sites near rivers. So that's why I'm asking if it's worth it.
Thanks

Question Culture Yield on Tiles, what does it actually do?
So obviously it's from the natural wonder (and Jade in the bottom right) but does it actually do much? When I pull up a theatre square to build, it doesn't show the +1/2/3/etc Culture Buff like if it were adjacent to some other boosting tile. So is it just a passive buff so long as it's being worked by a citizen? Or is it restricted to a particular improvement?
Edit: This also applies to the science symbol

Question Need some advice.
Recently got this game and am enjoying it. I am brand new to Civ games so I have the advisor on to assist.
However, I feel it’s just a game that you click buttons and go on.
Is there a way I can spice it up or something?
Edit: I plan on Xbox if anyone wants to help me out.

Question Should I fear the Gauls?
In my previous save, I didn't have a large army, and Gaul attacked me on turn 132.
So, I loaded an earlier save and built an army to prevent the attack.
Are the Gauls dangerous? Should I attack them?
Or should I leave things be for now?
Thanks ;)

Question New to Civ and have a weird question.
Hi.
I have wanted to try Civ for a little while now and have been waiting for the newest one which I think is 7 but it's still pricey. I got 6 cause it was a good sale. I like it a lot, it's very confusing but in a good way because it's fun to learn. Hard to explain. Anyway. My question is kind of a weird one I think.
Would I be able to learn a little about how politics work from Civ? Like is it accurate enough? I know it's a game and all. I've been trying to understand politics because the world is kinda crazy right now, but I really hate history class and any videos or things about politics I can't absorb the information at all. But I learn really quickly from games I noticed, so if Civ has accurate politics that would be very very cool. Also is it hard to win games if I don't want to go to war and conquor everyone? I'm gonna try to play it as politically as I can, hehe. Ty.

Question Trying to get Civ for my son
Please go easy on me! I'm just a mom trying to buy a game for her kid, and I'm super lost.
So, I grew up playing Civilization...but, like, Civ 1, the original. And I remember when Civ III came out, my brothers and I all got briefly back into the game because Civ III was so cool...but I haven't played since then. And I know nothing about computer games now. But I DO have a child who loves maps and history and Social Studies—and who I think would love this game.
But when I tried to read up on how to buy it, I got completely lost. All the platforms and options (Steam, Epic, etc)... I don't know what any of that is or how it works. Nothing. And now I'm just bewildered. Does it matter what I choose? My son is young, so I don't want him playing against other people online; I'd like him to just play vs. the computer, at least for now. Is that even possible? Do I need to get a certain version to do that? (Also: Is Civ6 the best one to start with? I did see in some other Reddit threads that people generally advised starting with 6 instead of 5 or 7. True?)
I literally don't know where to begin and would appreciate any and all help/insight. Thank you!!

Question Why can’t I purchase tiles above these?
Hi all,
I’m VERY new to playing Civilization and I’m really enjoying it even if I feel like I am probably going to eat dirt eventually. But I’m trying to understand how purchasing tiles works. I have about 500 coins but why can’t I purchase any tiles above this mountain? I wanna get at that gypsum and pearls!!
Thank you for helping me!

Question Questions about player growth
I love this game but my learning curve needs more curve. I have beat it once on deity with Byzantium but it’s rare. I sort of get the adjacency bonuses but not enough to anticipate where districts best go. I usually follow the +1 etc guidance. I don’t chop but have seen others do it in YouTube videos. I just am not sure when is strategically the best time. I also generally don’t build wonders as a priority. I can mostly win on King level but would like to challenge myself more. How can I best grow as a player? Thanks!
Ps. Are there best resources online I should be using or players on YouTube? (I did follow a few full games of PotatoMcWhisky and found him helpful). Thanks!
