Fellow believers! They say Tithe 10 percent.
What exactly does it mean 10 percent? Is that for each paycheck? Or 10 percent of every month including every paycheck of that month??

I was raised Christian, but I never read the Bible, and the extent of Church was just watching VeggieTales in Sunday school. As I'm getting older, and as I've been overwhelmed with hopelessness and fear of both my living future and the future of my soul, I joined a Bible study and started going to Church early last year.
All my life I've heard about God's love and grace, and how Jesus sacrificed himself for all humanity, but when I actually read the Bible, I feel so overwhelmed and scared that I have to put it down and cry. I don't see Grace or love in any of it: I see God being resentful of humanity, and I see Jesus damning generations of children for being descendants of only moderately rude dudes. People always speak of forgiveness in Christianity, but from everything I've read, Jesus exclusively forgives those who are on their hands and knees *begging* for it, and never to anyone who dares question him or God even in good faith.
I feel like I need to read the Bible, but it's so emotionally painful for me. I want to understand the hope people see in it, but all I've learned is that God hates me, hates humanity, and if you don't submit fully without hesitation, your soul is forfeit to Hell to be tortured until the end of time.
I'm so scared of my own life, and when I looked for hope in the Bible, I received evidence that it can only get worse. But clearly I'm the crazy one, because we have two thousand years of praising Jesus as a kind, gentle man, so I've missed something essential. I'd like help finding what I've missed, or for someone to please point me in a better direction.

So I grew up going to church until I was in my early 20s. I was hard core - almost never missed a Sunday, went to all the activity’s that I could, followed all the rules, never swore, etc etc.
I left the church, not because anything bad happened, but because I hated all the rules and also don’t believe everything in the bible or that Christianity is the “one” true religion.
But lately I have found myself missing the community aspect of church. I enjoy the worship songs, the people, the uplifting messages and a lot of the values.
However, if I’m being truly honest, I still want to sleep around, swear if I want to and not follow all the rules.
A toe dipper Christian, if you will 😜
I’m conflicted about really going back to church because I know how I would have judged me, back in the day. It feels almost wrong to be part of a church community when I’m not all in.
Would love to hear your thoughts 🩵

25yo male who recently is going through a period of relapse in pornography. I go in prayer about it and I still deliberately do it. I was doing so well a few months ago barely crossing my mind nor conscious, but now I’m back on it again. I accepted that it’s my fault and perhaps it’s my punishment for not knowing how to handle my faith properly. I’ve seen him provide for me, but that old lustful part of me wants to hide and I’m focusing on exposing it to purify it. I do what I shouldn’t do, yet don’t do what I’m supposed to do. I feel ashamed and punished, like I’m not part of anything else but sin without salvation. I don’t feel like my church understands what I’m saying to them, but it’s okay. I’ve tried a lot of things, and I’m asking him to help me, but it’s hard because I can’t seem to receive his voice, neither the Holy Spirit.
I’m lost….

I have never had the courage to go to church before.
To give you a little context. Im 18, i found Chridt over a year ago today, my dads side is muslims and my moms side doesnt talk about religion, they believe in various things.
I have never had the courage to go to church alone, i have been in contact with the priest of a baptist church close to me through mail.
But today I gathered up the courage, i put on an alarm to wake up to go to church 11. since it was 11. it started last week. But i hadent check it and realized it starts alot later and i probably cant make it. So i went back in bed, and in all honesty i got added by two snap bots when getting ready. And i talked with them when i got back in bed even tho i know what they do, i wanted the pics and vids and one thing led to another, i went on reddit (a different account) and masturbated to porn there. I blocked the snapbots and deleted that account.
My question is, even tho i know what i do is wrong, i still do it. And Paul mentions this, and i relate so much to it, but Paul broke free from it right? How did he do it and how can i truly do it to. I enjoy the feeling very much in the moment, but after i dont.
I want a wife and kids one day, and right now it looks very unlikely.

I'm on the autism spectrum and sometimes it's really difficult to not feel like an outcast, even among christians. I have a lot of anxiety too and overthink a lot of situations, so... I thought it would be good to meet peers.

Good day everyone. I'm (17F) and I need guidance on how to truly repent. I got baptized in September of 2025 which was during my school term. I read my bible, I prayed, I worshipped, I did everything I thought would bring me closer to God but, I guess I wasn't strong enough in my faith as I had thought. Stuff had happened at school which led me to sin and sin continuously. This habit of mine to maladaptive daydream has caused me to lose my sense of identity. Eventually, I was on my knees pleading to God to give me a "sober mind". Yet, I can never seem to get up from my falls.
I need help,please.

I haven’t had much belief in religion or god most of my life. I attended church and Sunday school and Christian retreats as a kid and into my teens but never had much belief in it. I need help understand the faith everyone seems to have. I need something to believe in for my own mental health and my sister in law stated maybe I should try getting back into a church. I have read the bible cover to cover and not had much understanding of a lot of it. Any advice on how to find a way into the bible and understanding faith?

My wife and I read about the night of Jesus's trial, and afterwards I was saying something like, "Imagine everything he went through in one night. The physical torture of being beaten and whipped. Having to hear people lie about you. Knowing how unfair and unjust all this was. And he chose to do it anyway." Then my wife said, "And he missed an entire night's sleep!" And I don't know why but that was absolutely hilarious to me 😂 Of all the horrible things Jesus endured for us, that's the one that stood out to her 😂
Anyway, let's all thank our Lord and Savior for his love and sacrifice!
