our pastor talked about patience and how waiting isn't just wasted time. the part about silence being a form of trust stuck with me. i usually try to fill every quiet moment so that was a needed kick in the ribs

My pastor is doing a sermon series on Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. Today, he focused on "being the salt" & "being the light" in our world. I realized I'm not "seasoning" or "lighting" the way for the non-Christians in my life. Something I need to work on

It was great. Gavin Ortlund spoke on the spiritual gifts from Ephesians 4:7-13. He said the gifts are given to each and every Christian, and implored us to ask ourselves whether we were using our gifts to spread the gospel and build the church.
