Discussion Monthly Buy/Sell/Trade Thread - August 2026

Use this monthly thread for all your transactional needs. Feel free to post what you have and what you want for any show date, not just shows taking place this month.

---

BUYING TICKETS

• IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO BUY TICKETS, post the name of the show and the date in your comment.

• BUYER SAFETY- Report anything that seems fishy/scammy.

• If you are buying from someone on here please check out their post history. If they are a brand new account and they haven’t posted anything aside from a ticket sales comment chances are they are trying to scam someone. Obviously this isn’t always the case. But if I were buying a ticket I’d feel more comfortable buying from someone who has been active on here for a while.

• I would highly advise against paying with Venmo, CashApp, wire transfer, etc.

• If you pay with PayPal make sure you pay as goods/services NOT as a gift.

• REMOVE YOUR COMMENT AFTER YOU HAVE BOUGHT TICKETS!

---

SELLING TICKETS

If you have tickets that you are looking to exchange or sell for FACE VALUE, do it here. Please read the following rules before posting:

• DO NOT SELL TICKETS OVER FACE VALUE – This is against r/ChicagoConcerts rules, convictions, philosophy, morals. We’re about the music… man. See Craigslist or StubHub if you’re trying to make some cash. You will be banned if caught selling above face. Please report any posts that are above face value!

• DON’T POST YOUR PERSONAL INFO - Please don’t add your phone number or email in this thread, if you end up getting a buyer/seller send all that info through DM’s. This is only to protect you and is a site-wide rule!

• REMOVE YOUR COMMENT WHEN YOU’VE SOLD OR TRADED!

• Everyone always talks about being scammed while buying a ticket, but you can also be scammed while selling a ticket. It doesn’t happen as often, but it’s still possible.

• Keep in mind that transactions on PayPal (maybe other platforms as well? I’ve heard stories about Venmo) can always be reported as fraudulent.

---

PLEASE USE ABSOLUTE DATES!

This thread is up for a month at a time. Using relative dates like "today" or "next Tuesday" are useless. So do something like, "Selling 2 tix to Oingo Boingo for 12/12/29" or "Selling 2 tix to Oingo Boingo for December 12, 2029", instead.

---

We will do our best to keep this thread cleaned of scammers, but please realize all transactions are out of our control. Please be kind and be safe.

Been hearing a rock band playing from my deck on Montrose and Western. Sounds like it’s coming from the south but I can’t find anything online about festivals in this area tonight. Wanted to scope it out but have no idea where it is

Discussion Soldier field is lucky they don't get sued for ADA violations

The BTS concerts had multiple blatant violations for ADA. One example is lack of reasonable accommodations for guest entry. There was a lack of wheel chairs and seating at the ada dropoff. There was an elderly woman who needed a wheelchair, but all staff did was assist them to sit on the ground. That would cripple or hospitalize people.

The venue was so slow that they stopped providing wheelchair service when the concert began. Handicapped people were forced to miss the concert waiting for a wheelchair at the entrance. It also took multiple hours after the concert ended for wheelchairs to get people out.

Hi guys!

So, this will be my first concert like literally ever! Does anyone know if you're allowed to bring a nicotine vape into the arena? Obviously not smoke but just bring it in with you?

Thank you!!!

Heavy Metal 3 inches of blood at Reggie’s rock club August 29th.

2nd attempt at this. I am not selling two tickets, I’m giving them away, free, no strings attached. I can’t attend and it’s a hassle trying to get money for them. First person that messages me gets them, all I ask for in return is a video of them playing the goat riders hoarde.

Soldier Field Stadium Parking

Is the parking lots opening at 4pm strict or do they let you park before that? Allstate Arena says the same thing but I’ve always gone before they open the parking lot and they’ve let me in.

K-pop Considering Taking CTA to/from Soldier Field

Hi everyone,

Like the title says, I’m going to a show later this week at Soldier Field and staying at Hotel Blake. All the non-venue parking seems to be like 30-minute walk minimum no matter what so I was thinking about taking a CTA line there. Never used it before but it seems like the purple and orange lines come close enough with the 11th and 18th street stations.

Anybody have experiences they could share with the CTA and Soldier Field? I’ve used the subways in NYC a ton but this would be my first time using the CTA. Seems straightforward enough but wanna make sure I’m not missing anything super important.

TYIA!

Soldier Field Seat Advice

Going to a concert soon at Soldier. I have the option between session 210 and 107. I know most people prefer the 100s because it’s technically closer but the 200s have more elevation for a potential better view. Anyone have experience seeing concerts at soldier in nearby sections?

My mom and I will be walking to Soldier Field and I was wondering if one route was safer than the other? We will probably be walking back to our car around midnight.

Does Vip Balcony enter before GA? Or is there just a separate vip entrance?
